Reader is Trent Alexander Arnold's twin sister. The two have been inseparable since childbirth, more so now when Reader is fresh out of university looking for a job, crashing at her brother's place whilst doing so. One day Reader gets a job offer that she cannot refuse, however it would mean working for her brother's biggest rival in football, Ruben Dias.

A hive of butterflies erupted in your stomach as you read the text message from Ruben, asking you out on a lunch date in the afternoon. You hadn't seen each other in days due to his busy training schedule and your need to spend more time with your family, whilst they were all still in Manchester taking care of Trent.

You rushed to pick out an outfit for the date, but made the mistake of asking your brother how you looked.

"You look stupid." He said, as he lay stretched out on the couch, picking out sunflower seeds from between his teeth. It's where he spent most of his days at Grandma's, on the couch, eating snacks.

"Be serious." You sighed.

"I am. You look stupid."

You rolled your eyes and grabbed your purse.

"What? I'm just being honest."

"Yes, but you are also being unnecessarily mean to me Trent."

"I'm not being mean." He frowned.

"Yes you are, and I just don't get it? Can't you just be happy that I've found someone that really cares about me?"

He snorted. "No."

It didn't make sense how difficult it would be for your brother to get over a silly rivalry like the one he had with Ruben. It tore a thin line between the two of you that really took a toll on your relationship lately. Trent however, didn't seem to care less.

"How about the next time you decide to fuck a football player, don't let it be someone I know." He sneered, once again reminding you what a turmoil you've been to his life. "Or even worse, someone I hate."

You left for your lunch date that afternoon with a lump in your throat and a fear that you might have made a big mistake choosing Ruben over your family.
