Youngjae opened his locker and stuffed some books in his backpack.

Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Jaebum struggling to open his.

"You know how to get home?"
Youngjae asked, not taking his eyes off his locker.
"What?" Jaebum turned to Youngjae.

"Turn to your own locker idiot." Youngjae hissed.
Jaebum rolled his eyes but obeyed Youngjae.

"I said do you know how to get home? I'm staying at the library for a while."

Jaebum shook his head.
Youngjae sighed heavily before slamming his locker shut.
"Go to room B289."

"Why."

Youngjae glared at the older boy. Jaebum put both his hands up, "Alright alright."

Jaebum watched as Youngjae rolled his eyes and walked away.

"He's so unpleasant." Jaebum huffed to himself before zipping up his backpack.

He walked through the hallways, humming to himself before stumbling across room B289.
Jaebum knocked on the door gently and froze when he heard a voice call out to him.
"Come in."

Jaebum slowly opened the door and relaxed when he saw Mrs. Choi.

"Oh! Mrs. Choi, I didn't know you worked here."

Mrs. Choi smiled, "I'm the assistant principal. So what do you need?"

Jaebum looked down embarrassed, "I...I um...I don't know how to get home."

Mrs. Choi smiled, "Why didn't you just go with Youngjae?"

"He said to go first because he wants to stay at the library."

Mrs. Choi rolled his eyes, "That boy.....You know what. Stay with him and when you two are heading home, stop by the grocery store. We ran out of eggs and milk. If you want you can get some snacks as well."

Jaebum bowed, "Thank you Mrs. Choi, but I don't have money."

Mrs. Choi's eyes widened, "I almost forgot! Your mom sent you this."

She rummaged through her bag before pulling out a shiny card.
Jaebum's eyes widened as he took the card in his hand.
"It's a debit card Jaebum. Your mom wanted you to have it."

Jaebum smiled widely, "Thanks Mrs. Choi!"

He raced out of the room, eagerly heading to the library.

"Yah! Don't forget the food!!" Mrs. Choi yelled after the excited boy.

She smiled when she heard a faint "I won't!!"

That Jaebum boy was too cute for his own good. Mrs. Choi started packing up her stuff when her phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Hi!"

"Oh Mrs. Im, how are you?"

"Good, how is Jaebum doing?"

"Good despite the facts that he hasn't shown any of the signs yet."

Mrs. Choi heard a long sigh from the other side of the phone before Mrs. Im responded.

"Really? I expected him to at least show a little bit."

"Don't worry, maybe in a couple more weeks."

"Alright, keep a close eye on him Choi."

"You got it Im." Mrs. Choi responded giggling. Using just their last names made her feel like a secret agent.

They chatted for a few more minutes before Mrs. Choi hung up.

She sighed to herself, "Im Jaebum please hurry up...."

Youngjae sat peacefully in the library. After a hectic day, he wanted at least an hour of silence before he headed back to his house, where a middle aged woman (who acted like a teenager) and a puppy like boy were waiting.

He sighed contently as snuggled deeper into the couch when he heard footsteps.

He immediately sat up and saw a familiar timid boy standing in front of him. He groaned loudly and fell back on the couch, "You've got to be kidding me."

"Hi Youngjae!"

"Shut up."

Jaebum pouted as he sat on the couch across from Youngjae.

"What are you doing here? I thought you went home with my mom?"

Jaebum smiled nervously, "Hah, funny thing. Your mom wanted me to say with you and then run an errand after your done."

Youngjae let out another loud groan.

"What does the evil woman want us to do?" Youngjae asked, slightly (very) pissed off.

"She wants us to get eggs and milk and snacks if we want."

Youngjae sighed for what it seemed like the hundredth time, "Fine. Make yourself comfortable princess, because we are going to be here for a while."

Jaebum nodded and shrugged off his backpack.
He took out a book and laid down on the couch, mimicking Youngjae's position on the opposite couch.

It only took the boy 5 minutes to get completely engrossed into the book.

Youngjae chuckled to himself as he observed the boy in front of him.

With his black hair hung loosely on his forehead, Youngjae almost laughed at the un-styled hair.
Jaebum had quite a few piercings despite his puppy like attitude. And in Youngjae's opinion, the earrings made the boy even cuter.

Youngjae stared at the latter for so long her started noticing close details that honestly, he should have not have noticed.

Like the two dots above left eye or the way his eyes almost shut close when he smiled at his book or how his eyebrows were ....

Youngjae smacked his head to clear these thoughts formulating in his brain.
Jaebum snapped out of his trance due to the loud smacking noise and turned to Youngjae.

"Are you okay?" He asked uncertainly. Jaebum didn't see what happened but it sounded like the latter just...slapped himself?

Youngjae sat up, "Of course I'm okay you dimwit." He snapped.

Jaebum flinched but went back to reading.
Youngjae sat there for a couple more minutes before getting up.

"Come on, it's going to get dark soon."

Jaebum nodded and stuffed the book back in his bag. He swung the bag over his shoulder as he followed Youngjae out of the library.

They walked in silence on the roads until Youngjae stopped in front of a convenient store.

"Get what you need." Youngjae said, sitting in one of the chairs outside.

"Y-you aren't coming in?" Jaebum stuttered.

"You're not five, now go. I want to go home."

Jaebum nodded and quickly walked inside the store.

A perky, lean, brown haired boy smiled.

"Hello!"

Jaebum smiled back, "Hi."

"I'm Minghao, can I help you with something?" The boy had a soft voice that had a slight accent. Jaebum could easily guess that the boy wasn't Korean.

"No I'm fine."

Minghao nodded and continued to tap away on his phone.

Jaebum strolled through the isles, picking the stuff he needed.

He placed three packets of milk and a cartoon of eggs in front of Minghao.

"Is this it?" Minghao asked.
Jaebum nodded and started to reach into his pocket for his new card when he felt a hand on his shoulder.
He jumped but calmed down when he saw it was just Youngjae.

Youngjae studied the objects, "Go get something for yourself, I'll pay."

"But -"

"I said go."

Jaebum nodded and walked back to the snack section. He picked up a bag of onion rings he had been eyeing and headed back to Youngjae.

"No get more."

"Why?"

Youngjae glared at the boy and Jaebum picked up a box of Pocky and gum which was in arm's length.

Youngjae nodded approvingly and handed Minghao, who was watching the whole interaction with close eyes, a card.

Minutes later, the two continued with their journey back to their house, except Youngjae was now holding a plastic bag.

"Why did you do that?" Jaebum finally asked, breaking the pregnant silence.

"Because I don't want my mom to be bitching later okay? Now stop talking."

Jaebum rolled his eyes, but he obeyed nevertheless.
