Whoops I lied.
One more update guys
Standing in front of a crusty ass mansion was not what Youngjae would be wanting to do at 7:00 on a Sunday morning.
But here he was, standing next to Jaebum, in front of a crusty ass mansion, at 7 on a Sunday morning.
Jaebum looked over the nailed up windows, the dusty framed and the creaky porch, "Uh you can go first."
"Oh for fucks sake." Youngjae grumbled as he pushed past the scared boy.
He boldly knocked on the door and jumped a bit when the door flew open.
Jaebum slowly walked next to Youngjae, making sure he was in arms length of the boy.
"Let's go."
Jabeum shook his head.
"Oh princess, come on. Luhan and Lay would be waiting for us."
Jaebum shook his head again stubbornly. Youngjae sighed and grabbed Jaebum's hand and intertwined their fingers.
"I'm right here if you're scared okay?"
Jaebum nodded and took his first step. Youngjae smiled to himself and started walking as well.
"Hello?!" Youngjae called into the empty mansion.
It was oddly dark and the pair couldn't even seen a few feet in front of them.
"FUCK!" Youngjae swore as he walked into some piece of furniture.
"Luhan!!? Lay?! I'm Jaebum. My mom told me to meet you guys."
The lights suddenly flashed on and Youngjae stumbled, clearly being caught off guard by the sudden change of lighting.
A short man walked into the room. His hair was blonde with blue streaks. His eyes sparkled with mischief as he took in Youngjae and Jaebum.
"Why didn't you say so?!" He said loudly.
He smiled and yelled, "Lay!! Jaebum is here."
Seconds later, a taller man jumped in from a pathway above our heads. Jaebum screamed and hid behind me.
Youngjae chuckled, because this man looked completely harmless.
"You done princess?" Youngjae asked snickering.
Jaebum peeked over Youngjae's shoulder to see a lazy looking man smiling at him.
He cleared his throat and stepped out from behind Youngjae and bowed, "Sorry. My name is Im Jaebum."
The blue haired man smiled, "Awh you're such a cutie. I'm Luhan and this is my partner in crime and husband Lay."
Jaebum pointed to Youngjae, "He's my partner in crime and not my husband."
"Not yet." Youngjae whispered earning a smack on the arm from the older boy.
Luhan giggled at the two and motioned for us to follow him.
"So I'm sure your mom has told you. Lay and I have been assigned to train you. I specialize in telekinesis and Lay over here specializes in healing and shapeshifting."
"Cool when do we start?"
"Now."
Youngjae leaned back on his chair as he watched Jaebum turn yet another barrel into a small duck.
"IS DUCKS THE ONLY FUCKING THING YOU CAN DO?!" Luhan yelled, clearly getting fed up about the sheer amount of ducks in his training room.
Youngjae snickered as he saw a duck peck at Lay's ankles.
"Little devils." Lay spat out as he waved his hand. In a flash, all the ducks in the room became barrels again.
Youngjae glanced at his phone. It was nearing 3 o'clock and Jaebum didn't have lunch. Youngjae stood up, it was time to stop this.
He walked over to Jaebum, who was on the verge of crying. Luhan was staring at him, not knowing what to do. Youngjae gently turned the boy towards him and lifted his chin with one finger.
"Hey, princess what's wrong?"
"I can't even turn a stupid barrel into a wooden box. Only these ducks." Jaebum pointed at the barrel with disappeared in a blue puff of smoke, only to appear as a duck.
Youngjae hid a smile and pulled the boy into a hug.
"Hey it's okay. You're being to hard on yourself. You only found out about all of this like three days ago."
Jaebum sniffed and nuzzled his face into Youngjae's neck.
"What if I'm never able to do it? What if I'm the worst enchanter in the history of bad enchanters?"
Youngjae hugged the boy harder and gently rocked them back and forth, "Don't worry about those what ifs. Focus on what's in front of you and you won't go wrong."
Jaebum nodded and held onto Youngjae's shirt, not wanting to let go.
"I think this is enough. I'll see you next Sunday." Youngjae said to Luhan firmly.
Luhan nodded and let the two boys go.
He waited until he felt their essence leave his mansion before speaking up.
"Lay?"
"Yea baby?"
"There's something about the other boy."
"Youngjae?"
"Yea. He's giving off these strange vibes."
"I kinda felt that too."
Luhan sighed and walked over to his husband's side. Lay was lying on the ground with a duck on his stomach.
"How many barrels were turned into ducks today?"
"I lost count after 286."
Luhan sighed and rested his head on Lay's shoulder.
"You know what he feels like?"
"Like what?"
"An amplifier."
"An amplifier?"
"Yea. My mom always told me. Every enchanter has their own amplifier. Someone who makes them stronger, physical and emotional."
"Who's your amplifier?"
Luhan scoffed and turned to his husband, "Who do you think?"
"Uh, your brother, Xiumin?"
"Pabo." Luhan chuckled softly.
"Who is it?"
Clearly Lay wasn't the sharpest knife in the kitchen.
"You!"
Lay's eyes widened and he smiled.
"Awh thanks."
Luhan was about to say something when something clicked on his head, "Wait!"
"What?"
"What if Youngjae is Jaebum's amplifier?!"
Who's needs to study? Lol what is math.
