Warning: fluff overdose
"Quack."
Youngjae sighed as he watched the older quack at a baby duck.
"Princess, you know that they won't quack back."
Jaebum stuck his tongue out at Youngjae and turned back to the baby duck nestled in his hands. He brought it up to his face and stared at it.
"Quack."
QUAACKK
Youngjae jumped when he heard the baby duck quacking very loudly.
Jaebum laughed and pecked the baby duck on the head, "See! Beep does quack back."
"Beep?"
"Yup. That's her name."
"What's this guy's name, Boop?" Youngjae motioned to another baby duck trying to climb on his bed.
Jaebum sheepishly nodded, "Actually yea, that's Boop."
"Beep and Boop." Youngjae sighed as he nudged the baby duck with his foot.
He yelped when it pecked his foot.
Jaebum giggled and picked up the little spawn of Satan.
He brought the small fluffy ball up to his ear.
Youngjae stared at Jaebum as he whisper-quacked to to the duck.
"What are you doing?"
"Shhh! He's trying to talk to me."
"We are not keeping these." Youngjae finally announced.
Jaebum spun towards the boy heartbroken. He had already grown attachments to the small creatures. Beep was happily nuzzling it's beak against Jaebum's cheek and Boop made itself comfortable on Jaebum's head.
Youngjae chuckled at the adorable sight in front of him.
"Sorry princess, but those things used to be my chair and nightstand."
Jaebum pouted, "You can live without those things right?"
Youngjae grinned evilly. He was having too much fun with this.
"Nope. Sorry Bummie."
He thought the older one would retort against the nickname but instead he put the ducks down sadly.
He waved at the two ducks with a frown.
"Bye Beep and Boop. You guys were the best friends I've ever had."
"Hey!"
"Shut up." Jaebum snapped.
Youngjae glared at the ducks. He wasn't considered Jaebum's friend because of those evil things.
Jaebum closed his eyes and pointed at the ducks.
Youngjae stared as the boy just wiggled his finger at the two yellow creatures.
"Uh...Jaebum? What are you doing."
"Trying to turn them back into furniture."
"Uh..do you know how?"
"Nope!" Jaebum chirped, popping the P at the end.
Youngjae leaned in at the ducks who suddenly stopped moving.
"Jaebum did you kill them?"
Jaebum opened his mouth but before he could answer the ducks exploded (in a non bloody way of course) into a cloud of smoke.
Youngjae rolled backwards on his bed and started coughing, wearily waving his hand in the air trying to get rid of the smoke.
"Uh, Youngjae. There's good and bad news."
"Oh god."
"Good news, the ducks are gone. But there's a-"
Jaebum was cut off by a loud bark.
"YOUV'E GOT TO BE KIDDING ME."
Youngjae groaned as he watched Jaebum cuddle the small white dog.
"Get that thing off my bed."
"Awh Youngjae, look how cute he is!"
Youngjae stared down the small animal which was currently taking up all of his Jaebum-time.
He looked back at Jaebum who was staring at him with puppy eyes. Youngjae sighed heavily, "Alright fine. But you're buying me a new chair and nightstand. AND that thing stays downstairs."
Jaebum pouted but nodded.
"Can we go shopping for stuff for him?"
"I'm not paying for it."
"I will!"
"No don't spend your money, I'll pay for it." Youngjae cursed himself on how weak he was for the older boy.
"Can we go?!"
"Can you restrain yourself from turning anything else into ducks."
"I'll try."
Youngjae grinned and held out his hand.
Jaebum stared at it.
"Well?" Youngjae said, shaking his hand slightly. Jaebum lit up and grabbed his hand. Youngjae helped Jaebum off his bed and took the dog as the older boy wriggled into his coat.
Youngjae grunted as the dog licked his face.
"Jaebum quick, it's doing something cute. Take it, take it, take it."
Jaebum laughed at Youngjae's panicking and took the small dog back.
"I'm going to name this little guy Coco."
"Coco?"
"Yes. Come on Coco!"
Youngjae sighed again as the older boy ran downstairs with the small dog in tow.
Youngjae grabbed Jaebum's hand before he could step outside.
"Princess, your shoes."
Jaebum looked down to see that he was only wearing his fuzzy penguin socks.
He smiled sheepishly as he raced back inside.
Youngjae chuckled as the boy slipped and caught himself before he could fall.
Jaebum slid his shoes on record time and picked up Coco with one hand and grabbed Youngjae's hand with the other.
Youngjae took a deep breath in the fresh air as they stepped outside. He squeezed Jaebum's hand to motion for him to start walking.
"So where are we going?" Youngjae asked, watched as Jaebum hopped over a puddle.
"A pet store."
"Okay."
They walked to a nearby store and Jaebum tore his hand from Youngjae's when he saw a bright pink leash.
Youngjae laughed to himself as Jaebum immediately fastened the leash around Coco's neck.
"There." He said satisfied.
Youngjae smiled to himself as Jaebum took his hand again. He liked the fact that no matter how many time the older boy let go of his hand, he always came skipping back.
While Jaebum concentrated on picking the best mini shoes for Coco, Youngjae intertwined his fingers with the latter, and pouted when Jaebum didn't notice. He was too busy cooing over the doggy shoes.
"How may I he-"
Youngjae spun around and swore silently when he saw an awestruck Jinyoung standing behind them.
Jaebum tried to pull his hand away but Youngjae held on tight.
Jinyoung eyed their intertwined fingers and cleared his throat, "How may I help you?"
Jaebum motioned to Coco who was sniffing at a toy, "Just picking up some stuff for Coco."
Jinyoung raised an eyebrow, "I thought you hated dogs Choi?"
Youngjae looked away from Jaebum awkwardly, "I do but Princ...Jaebum wanted to keep him."
Jinyoung nodded and left reluctantly. As soon as he was out of earshot, Jaebum smacked Youngjae's arm, "Why didn't you let go!"
"You're my princess, not his."
