And I had to write a story. Had to.

Ace ran as fast as he could. He couldn't let Akainu kill Luffy. Not his little brother. He already lost Sabo. He can't lose Luffy, too.

"Ace, no!" Aoi screamed as Ace threw himself between Akainu and Luffy. Time seemed to slow down. All Aoi could see was Ace and Luffy. The only thing she could feel was terror and her heartbeat. She ran, knowing that even with her ablilities, she wouldn't make it in time.

But, damn it, she had to try! She couldn't lose those boys! They were the most precious things in the world to her! She had already lost Sabo, her dear childhood friend and brother and -not that she'd ever tell Ace- her first crush. Now her husband and little brother were at the risk of death. She couldn't-

Suddenly, a figure shoved her out of the way and the same figure leaped forward and grabbed hold of the two men, pulling them from Akainu's destructive path just before the man of magma could harm either.

Luffy's face was one of shock while Ace's was one of confusion. But Aoi's eyes were locked on the hat that had fallen from the figure's head in front of her. Slowly, she reached out and picked up the black top hat with blue goggles sitting on it. Her heart beat fast.

She felt a hand grab her wrist. She looked up and was met by a woman with jade green eyes behind glasses, long auburn hair and black, angel like wings spread out behind her.

"... Ginger?" She asked.

"Hold on tight, Aoi!" She said, pulling the bluenette to her feet and holding her close. She beat her wings and took off from the ground. Aoi held tight to the woman's hands and the hat as they took off.

"That's-" "Shadow Angel?!" "What the hell is the Revolutionary Army doing here?!"

"Made it on time!" The man that had grabbed Ace and Luffy called out. He was beaten, bloody, and bruised, showing he had to fight his way to get to where he was.

"Who are you?!" Ace yelled. Luffy stared hard, knowing her knew the person before him. The figure turned his head up.

"GINGER!" He yelled out.

"I'M ON IT!" The woman called. She turned her attention to Aoi.

"Do you have enough energy to break our fall?" She asked. Aoi nodded.

"Just tell me when." She said.

"Now!" Ginger said. Her shadow black wings dispersed and the shadows on the ground from marines, Pirates, rocks, anywhere, rose up and created a barrier between the men on the ground and the vice admiral.

"SHADOW WALL!"

"BUBBLE!"

A large bubble of water appeared by the men and the women fell on it, bouncing off and to her feet.

"Good to see your abilities have improved." Ginger told Aoi.

"Same to you." Aoi said.

"Hey!" Ace stood and grabbed the collar of the man that saved him, twitching lightly at the burn on his arm.

"Answer me! Who the hell are you?!" Ace snapped. The man smiled.

"As much as I'd like to catch up, Ace. Now isn't the time. We've got to get out of here. Ginger, how long until that wall falls?" He asked.

"I can holding it a little longer, but I'd say we have a good ten minutes." She said.

"I'm not going anywhere with you until you answer me!" Ace yelled. Aoi gently placed her hand on Ace's. He slowly let the man go. Aoi held the hat she was holding out to the man.

"I think this might be yours." She said. He took the hat and smiled at her, placing it back on his head. Luffy's eyes widened, tears beginning to fill the dark brown orbs. Tears filled Aoi's jade green eyes as she finished connecting the dots. Ace stared with wide eyes.

"Time to move." He said. Aoi wiped her eyes and looked at Luffy.

"Can you walk?" She asked. Luffy slowly shook his head. Aoi grabbed him and pulled him on to her back.

"Please, Allow me." Jinbe said, plucking Luffy from Aoi's back. Aoi smiled.

"Thank you, Jinbe." She said.

"Five minutes!" Ginger called.

"Let's go!" The blonde man said. They took off running as fast as they could, Aoi helping Ace as much as she could. A girl with a pink blouse and red hat waved to them.

"This way! Hurry!" She called.

"Koala, get Ginger!" The blonde called.

"I'm on it, you worry about your brothers and sister!" Koala called. Jinbe gave her a wide eyed stare as he ran past. She grinned at him, then ran towards Ginger. Jinbe leaped through the air.

"JINBE! GIVE DRAGON'S SON TO ME!" Akainu screamed.

"Jinbe! Watch out!" Aoi yelled. But she was to late. Akainu punched through Jinbe and hit Luffy in the chest. Both men let out a scream of pain.

"JINBE! LUFFY!" Aoi screamed. A blur of red flew through the air and caught them, along with Buggy the clown. Jinbe was out cold, but Luffy was crying in pain.

"Shh, Shh, It's okay, Luffy! The pain will be gone soon!" The red haired girl said.

"Ai-chan.." Luffy whimpered to her. The girl lifted him and ran forward, fully on will power alone. Buggy followed with Jinbe.

"OVER HERE! I'M A DOCTOR!" A voice called out.

"Aoi, can you get us over there?" The blonde asked.

"Hold your breath." She said. Ginger and Koala came up and grabbed Luffy and Aisuru.

"Luffy won't be able to handle travel by water! I'll fly him there. Aisuru wiggled out of Koala's grip.

"Hey!" Koala called.

"I'll keep them off your backs. Go!" She called and assumed her beast form. Ginger took off with Luffy, Aoi swept Koala, Ace, Jinbe, Buggy, The Blonde, and herself on to the yellow submarine. Aoi turned as soon as she landed and saw Red Hair Shanks standing between Akainu and them. He looked at her over is shoulder.

"Go." He mouthed to her.

"Thanks, Shanks." She said. She turned and helped everyone in to the submarine.

"Submerge!" Ordered the tall tan man that helped them. The submarine submerged and headed away from Marineford.

"Get them in to surgery now! They won't survive without Law's help!" A purple haired woman called.

"Hey, Aka." Aoi said.

"Hey, Aoi. Glad you're alive." Aka replied.

"A-Ai.." Luffy groaned out.

"She's with her dad. She's safe." Aoi whispered to the boy. She placed a kiss on his forehead. Luffy closed his eyes and relaxed, letting Law move on with his surgery.

"You have nothing to worry about. Captain Law is the best surgeon on the seas." Aka told her. Aoi nodded. She turned to the blonde male, standing and talking with Koala and Ginger.

"Dragon is already angry enough that we left with out his permission. When news spreads that we were here, he's going to be furious." Koala said.

"We knew what we were getting in to when we left, Koala. We'll face his fury when we get back." Ginger said.

"I'll take the punishment. I never asked you two to come with me. I couldn't let my brother die." The man said.

"Don't be stupid. He's my-" Ginger's sentence was cut off when Aoi suddenly hit the man and knocked him off his feet.

"Ow!" He groaned and looked up at Aoi, tears were streaming down her cheeks.

"Do you think you're funny? Showing up and acting like that! We're not stupid, damn it! I saw him die!" She cried. The man stood.

"Let's wait for Luffy to wake up before we discuss this." He said. Aoi reached back to hit him again. Ginger caught her hand. Aoi stared at Ginger. Ginger only offered her a smile. Aoi pulled her arm away and stalked back over to where Ace was resting.

Time skip

"You're lying." Ace said as the blonde finished speaking. The raven male jumped to his feet and grabbed the blonde by his collar.

"DO YOU THINK YOU'RE FUNNY?! SHOWING UP AND CLAIMING YOU'RE OUR BROTHER?! SABO DIED WHEN WE WERE TEN!" Ace yelled. Ginger pulled Ace off of Sabo.

"Ace, it's true! I didn't believe it at first either but then when he saw news of your execution, his memories came back! I was there!" Ginger said. Slowly, Aoi reached out and touched Sabo's cheek. She closed her eyes as his memories played for her.

She opened her eyes and tears immediately fell.

"Aoi?" Ace asked. Aoi jumped on Sabo and hugged him tight. She hiccuped with cries.

"It's really him... It's really him guys! All his memories are there! Everything that Ginger and Sabo just told us! It's all true!" She sobbed. Sabo returned the hug and held Aoi tighter to him.

"Don't cry. Everything is okay." He said. Ace limped over as Aoi fell away from Sabo, wiping her eyes. Sabo looked at Ace and Ace looked up at Sabo.

"I'm sorry, Ace. I wish I had remembered sooner." He said. Ace pulled him in to a hug.

"Who said you could get teller than me?" Ace said. Sabo returned the hug. Luffy tried to wiggle out of bed, but Ginger stopped him.

"Sorry, kiddo. You heard Doc. Bed rest until we get back to Amazon Lily." Ginger said. Aoi glared.

"We got on the wrong ship." She grumbled.

"You and your grudge." Ginger giggled. Aoi huffed.

"Not my fault she's generic." Aoi said. Ginger laughed, making Luffy's head snap to her in surprise. Sabo moved over to Luffy's bedside and hugged him gently, yet tightly.

Luffy was immediately distracted from Ginger and returned Sabo's hug. Tears rolled down the boy's cheeks.

"I missed you." He cried. Sabo ruffled the boy's hair.

"I'm here now, buddy." Sabo replied lovingly.

"Shishishishi how cute." Ginger laughed.

"You laugh like me." Luffy said to her.

"Well, I am-"

"Dinner's ready!" Aka called.

"MEAT!" Ginger cheered and ran out of the room. Aoi burst in to a fit of hysterical laughter.

"She even has your appetite, Luffy." Aoi laughed.

"Well, siblings do have traits in common no matter how much time they spend apart." Sabo said.

"Wait..." Luffy started.

"Siblings?!" Ace, Aoi and Sabo all yelled at once. Ginger returned to the room with a smear of barbecue sauce on her cheek.

"Sorry, what were we talking about?" She asked sheepishly. A bright grin over took his face and everyone saw it. Sabo side and pulled a hanky from his pocket.

"Babe, you made a mess again." He said, wiping the sauce from her cheek.

"I know. Aka threw me out of the kitchen. Shishishishi." She laughed.

"W-wait! Kotani Ginger, do you mean to tell me that you are related to Monkey D Luffy?" Aoi asked. Ginger grinned again.

"Yeah, sorry 'bout all the secrecy, but my name ain't actually Kotani Ginger." She said. Aoi stared blankly at the woman.

"Yeah, imagine the shock I got when I realized I was marrying my boss's daughter." Sabo laughed.

"MARRY?!" Ace and Aoi yelled in surprise. Luffy stared in confusion.

"Yup. Ace, Aoi, Luffy. This is my wife, Monkey D Ginger." Sabo said and planted a kiss on Ginger's cheek.

"Monkey D-" Aoi spluttered.

"YOU'RE MY SISTER?!" Luffy cried out in shock. Ginger giggled.

"I guess we all finally reunited, huh?" She giggled and hugged Luffy.
