[Sabre's POV]

So... the meeting we had this morning where I told the other Leaders about the thousand-year rift went pretty well.

They only reacted to things I really knew they would be surprised about, like how this situation came to be. They actually looked kind of excited that my two friends are coming to this universe soon.

Speaking of which, we now have four days before the rift opens. The Professor has been asking me things about the sundial and other stuff about this, I have no idea why. He even tried to take the sundial so he could apparently 'get a better look at it', but of course I didn't let him. M shut that down pretty quick, too. It's been pretty busy since I've told everyone already, and there's a bit of a break now for a few hours, so I decided to go home for a bit.

As I stare at the sundial on my desk, I've just been trying to get myself to calm down a little. I always start panicking a little bit whenever the rift opens, because 1,000 years is a long time. What if they've changed? What if I've changed? What if something happened to one of them and they don't show up? What if they've been mind-controlled and are evil now? What if-

"Hey, Sabre."

I look over to my room's doorway and see Time leaned against the doorframe.

"Oh, hey Time." I reply as he walks over.

"You alright?" He asks. "You've looked tense since you walked into the house."

"Yeah, I'm alright. Just... nervous."

"Nervous? About what?" Time chuckles. "You're about to see your friends again soon."

"Well, you of all people know how long a thousand years is." I sigh. "I just keep getting worried that... something's happened to them. What if the three of us have changed to the point we won't get along anymore? What if while they're here, something bad happens? What if that thing that caused the whole 'thousand years' thing comes back? What if-"

Time interrupts me, wrapping me in a hug.

"Alright, no more 'What Ifs' buddy. It's going to be fine." He says. "You're just overthinking about this. Nothing bad is going to happen while they're here."

I feel myself calm down a little, and return the hug.

"Yeah... I guess you're right. Thanks Time."

"No problem, Sabre." Time says, as we release each other. "It's understandable that you're worried about this, but I know that this is going to go right."

Time leans against the wall next to my desk, as I pick up the sundial.

"I mean, think about it." He continues. "There's no enemy out there at all now. Heck, the First Curse himself is gone."

I laugh, remembering how that battle ended.

"Oh, I can't wait to tell Lucas and Ryan how you threw him across the forest like that." I say.

"Pfft, oh shush." Time giggles.

"What, it was awesome!"

"Okay, okay." Time says. "Now, what was that you said yesterday about the three of you fighting dragons for fun?"

Time and I had been talking for a while, as I tell the stories of what Lucas, Ryan, and I would do together before the thousand-year rift happened. It's pretty fun, and Time's reactions to some of the stories are hilarious.

"So, you set up this intricate prank on Ryan..." Time says.

"And it didn't even work!" I laugh. "All it did was put a one-block hole in his floor! I asked Lucas to record it because I thought it would work, but instead of recording Ryan getting pranked he got my absolute fail instead! It was still funny though."

Time laughs too. We're both interrupted by a knock on the front door.

"I'll get it." Time says.

Time then leaves the room, and in a few minutes I hear him open the door.

"Hey Sabre, apparently the Professor wants you back at the lab." Time calls. "It's more stuff about the rift."

"Alright, I'm coming down." I call back.

I pick up the sundial and leave the room, wondering what the Professor is going to do this time. Knowing him, it's going to be a long four days before the rift opens.

Still, I can't wait until it does.
