Yes I'm doing these out of order, shush-

So in this AU, the Realm is mostly made up of water with a lot of islands scattered around (think like LoZ: Wind Waker). The Steves usually travel on boats when they're not teleporting, and pretty much everyone owns a boat themselves unless they're comfortable with just being an islander.

Each Kingdom is actually an island, and so are any other important landmarks of RQ. Of course, there are a few islands that are just empty fields and other biomes. Islands can range from only a bit bigger than a boat to big enough to hold multiple Kingdoms.

Sabre was sent through the RQ world's portal after getting pulled into a whirlpool while out swimming back home, and Orange and Red find him hiding at Red's home island and take him in. Getting around and meeting the Steves is a little awkward or even difficult sometimes for Sabre, because...

(Fun facts: His clothes and even his blindfold are green because he made their fabric from kelp. Also, he tried cookies once he met Orange because he brought some to him, and they're now his favorite thing lol.)

Usually, Orange/Rainbow has to carry Sabre around when he has to be on land lol. That, or Sabre just crawls. He is much happier being in the sea, and can actually get to things the Steves can't because of the deep sea.

Sabre explores underwater ruins all the time, finding treasures and resources for Orange/Rainbow to use or sell for profit. It comes in handy a lot, like when Orange/Rainbow needs more resources in order to get something for the ship, or if somebody accidentally drops something in the water and needs it back.

Because I want to leave this up for speculation for the claimer to have fun with, it's situations time! Enjoy shenanigans:

(Orange hanging out with Sabre at the edge of the island.)

Orange: Hey, you think you could find some stuff I could sell under the water for me? I need to repair the ship, and I don't have enough to buy the wood or other materials...

Sabre: Sure I can! Wait here.

(Sabre goes under the water and stays there for a while. When he comes back up, he's holding a medium-sized bag.)

Sabre: (Dumping the bag out on the sand to reveal it's full of pearls) Will these work?

Orange: ...I owe you a crap ton of cookies.

(Climbing the Indigo Tower, and yes that's what I call it)

Orange: (on the stairs) Sabre, you coming?

Sabre: (Having to climb the stairs like they're a really steep hill because no legs) THIS ISN'T EXACTLY AS EASY FOR ME AS IT IS FOR YOU, MAN!

(Just Sabre messing with people by splashing water on them by using his giant tail fin. Prankster merboi.)

(After he was kind of cast out after Shadow took control and he broke through, Sabre hid beneath the sea where literally nobody could get to him for a while. So cue this)

(Everything sucks on the surface, and the war is still going and getting worse.)

Meanwhile, Sabre: (Vibing with the other sea creatures while Caramelldansen blasts from a speaker)

(Yellow visiting the Hub, and walks up to Orange, who's just sitting at the end of the island's beach.)

Yellow: Whatcha doing?

Orange: (holding a bunch of cookies while Gerald sits next to him) Playing with Sabre.

Yellow: What?

(Orange throws a cookie towards the water, and as it flies above the ocean Sabre jumps out like a dolphin and grabs the cookie, quickly eating it before diving back down into the water.)
