Those of you who read my prompt book ChromaTober, you already know what this is :3

Long after the reset, just as people gave up on the idea that Sabre and Time survived, odd things begin to happen around the Realm.

At first it was small things, like items left outside being messed up or the occasional small animal corpse found near a village. Everyone thought it was just the weather or some wolf doing these things. It would escalate over time, but never by much.

Until two people were hunted by the real culprits.

After Light had to escape from the woods, and the Professor had to hide around his lab for a while, they both told the Leaders about what happened to them and that the true cause of the odd disturbances were two restless spirits.

Sabre and Colle.

Both having died once and taken the deal to come back to life, they couldn't go to the World Beyond once they died, and the World Below rejected them because they were still good people, but it still corrupted their souls.

They had become angry at the rest of the Realm, which was the cause of all of their suffering in life. Once Sabre was found by Colle, they realized that they both went through very similar events, only fueling their rage. They were already much more powerful than a normal restless spirit; now, they're far more dangerous.

As soon as it's revealed they're the ones behind the strange things around the Realm, Sabre and Colle start to cause complete havoc everywhere they can. And in the process, they rip apart the veil concealing wandering spirits and lost souls in the Overworld, and weaken the defenses of both Spirit Worlds.

As the Leaders scramble to find a solution to this, or at least a way to hold back the former friend and Hero, a familiar wandering spirit (reluctantly) offers aid to them. Seer.

He had finally been separated from his long-dead body when Sabre defeated Void for the first time, freeing Seer from being trapped inside the shell of what he was in life. Since then, he roamed through the Realm, observing and watching as the story went on. Before, he could never interact or be seen, but because the veil is now gone he and other willing wandering spirits can help.

As the two restless, angry heroes continue to drive the world into chaos and destruction, those who caused their pain have to find a way to calm them and fix their corruption before it's too late to save them. Will their actions finally catch up to them?

Here's some extra details for lore purposes:

- Colle didn't actually get to the portal in this AU. Professor Red found him collapsed in front of it, as Colle had depleted all of his remaining energy trying to say goodbye to his friends. The Professor was there with him as he died.

- Sabre was killed by the timeline-travel portal, as it could have allowed him to go back to the present as well, but his body couldn't handle the shock and strain of it as it was unstable, turning some of the power of it dangerous. And the thing is, the portal's instability was Hypno's fault, so he's pretty mad at him for that.

- Wandering spirits appear when someone dies in a way that leaves a remnant of them, like being absorbed or turned into something. Lost spirits appear in similar conditions, except it's related to losing their power and dying as a result of that. Given that, many characters can appear as lost/wandering spirits.

- Time is alive, Origin just pulled him into his realm to recover since he could sense the incoming danger. The rest of the group does figure out where he is and gets him back... eventually.

- The entire time, Origin is actually also kinda mad at the Steves for how they treated Sabre and Colle. He just only shows it by being a little passive-aggressive when they ask for Time back.

- Hypno knows his ass is grass if Sabre and Colle find him, so he's literally hiding somewhere terrified and hoping they can't sense him somehow.

- Seer is so very done with the Leaders' obliviousness and stupidly and the rest of the Realm here. Like- he stopped giving a frick a century ago lol.

(Since everything's fricked, Demon Steves start popping up again. Seer passes by a group of them.)

Seer: (Flipping the Demon Steves the bird) Hey there demons, it's me, ya boi.

(They flip him off right back.)

(Seer bullies the Leaders lol)

Seer: (pointing at Sabre and Colle wrecking everything) WHEN WILL YOU LEARN?! WHEN WILL YOU LEARN?! THAT YOUR ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES?!"

(Seer was just told about all of the BS that Sabre went through by the Leaders and Light)

Seer: ...

Light: ...Yeah, we uh... we kinda screwed up-

Seer: YEAH NO SH-

(This is a joke but could actually happen if the claimer wants)

Seer: (Talking to some other wandering spirits) Hey, could you guys go get Ghost Steve for me? Thanks.

Light: Why do you need him?

Seer: Before he died, Ghost was his boss and basically an adoptive dad. Colle's definitely gonna listen to him.

Prof. Red: Wait, that's what happened to Boss-?

Seer: Yep, and I have a feeling you're also gonna get an earful once he gets over here.

Prof. Red: ...oh boy.

-Later-

(Insert Colle terrified in a corner as Ghost Steve yells at him to cut it out and is basically scolding him. Sabre is very confused but doesn't intervene as he's scared too lol.)
