Imma make this one a bunch of bullet points bc the chapters in 'The Stories He Has to Tell' sums up the AU pretty well lol-

- Sabre has the power to control dolls he makes, as long as they have a special component inside them. The component looks like a small sphere with a metal casing around most of it, but inside the casing is a dimly-glowing blue source of magic surrounded by tough glass (to be careful that it doesn't break). The magic source kind of mimics something like a hollow soul, and is connected to Sabre when it's active so he can control it at any time.

- When using his power on the dolls with the magic component inside them, white strings appear that lead from his hands to any doll that is under his control, representing how he's taking control of them. The strings disappear after a second after and the connection is invisible.

- Sabre replaced his slightly deformed eyes with doll's eyes a long time before he went to RQ, using his magic in order to see out of them. The deformity he had was basically an on/off version of needing glasses; sometimes he could see perfectly fine, other times he was blind as a bat. So he decided to go "Frick it" and replaced his eyes. If his magic was forcibly deactivated for any reason, he'd instantly be blind.

- Sabre sometimes likes to make little dolls for his friends as gifts, all without the magic component he normally makes his dolls with.

- Sabre makes the dolls completely on his own, from gathering materials to putting them together. He normally makes them out of wood, but occasionally likes to do something different and make a rag doll or a clay one.

- Sabre has his own space everywhere he lives throughout RQ that he uses as a workshop to make dolls; A small building in both Hubs, a basement in the Rainbow Kingdom, and a little side room in the village. It's where he keeps all of his supplies and most of the dolls he makes, so they're out of the way of everyday life (and so random guests don't see exactly how many dolls he's made- a lot. He's made a lot.)

- Sabre tends to be kind of... obsessive about his doll-making sometimes. It's hinted at in the 'Doll' prompt of that book (when he literally used his own blood from a stab wound to paint a pair of doll's eyes-). It's often that he stays in his workshop for days at a time and doesn't leave until someone drags him out and makes him realize how long he was in there, or just eventually passes out from overworking himself and exhaustion. If anyone messes with any of his dolls, he gets very angry with them (and may Origin help them if someone decides to break one because oh boy, that's a crapshow-). This obsessive behavior gets at its worst in the Rainbow Kingdom arc, with Sabre not having anyone to keep him from spending too long in his workshop and that he's still grieving over Rainbow's death.

- Sabre made a little doll of Rainbow after he died, even sometimes puppeteering it to do things that Rainbow would do on a normal day, to try and help with his grief. He doesn't want anyone to see it, let alone touch it. 

- Yeah, he's very much not okay in this AU- Like- He seriously can't get to therapy sooner- This boi needs help-

(During the point where people were staying in the Rainbow Hub to take shelter from Darkness. Time is chilling at a table in Sabre and Rainbow's house bc he wanted to visit, and Rainbow went to go check on Sabre in his workshop because nobody's seen him in a while and people are getting worried. Time suddenly sees Rainbow dragging Sabre over to the couch.)

Rainbow: Four days, really dude?! Come on, we talked about this!

Sabre: 's fine-

Rainbow: Nope, no it's not. You've gone four days without sleeping or taking care of yourself in general.

(Rainbow literally just throws Sabre onto the couch.)

Rainbow: Sleep.

Sabre: No-

Rainbow: (picking up a pillow that was on the floor) SLEEP.

(Rainbow smacks Sabre in the face with the pillow, aaand he's instantly out. Rainbow and Time just stare for a bit.)

Time: ...Did you just knock him out with a pillow?

Rainbow: (turning around) Oh- Sorry Time, forgot you were there. Uh... guess I did. Whoops.

Time: What'd he even do?

Rainbow: Turns out he's just stayed in his workshop the past four days, just working on dolls.

Time: Does- Does this happen often?

Rainbow: Buddy, you have no idea.

(Same arc as last one. Sabre is sneaking out of his workshop late at night, when he sees Elemental sneaking to he and Time's house with a crap ton of pies.)

Sabre: ...

Ele: ...

Sabre: ...

Ele: (whispering) ...I won't snitch if you won't?

Sabre: (whispering) ...Deal.

(Before Orange is Rainbow.)

Orange: (in the doorway of Sabre's workshop) You have a problem-

Sabre: (holding a bunch of dolls he made) NO I DON'T-

(Reverse trying to attack the Hub)

Reverse: (Teleports in) Alright, I've had enough of you tw-

(Sabre and Rainbow stare at him, then Sabre starts controlling the crap ton of dolls around them both and they're all suddenly holding weapons.)

Reverse: Nevermind-

(Therapist Green checking on Sabre in the Rainbow Kingdom)

Green: (knocking on Sabre's door) Sabre? Hello, are you home?

Sabre: (waking up at his workshop desk in the basement after passing out because he worked in dolls nonstop for days) What fricking year is it-
