So in this AU, Sabre is a magical fairy boi :3

Fairies in this AU's world were known to exist in the time of SL, but were thought to be wiped out when the Biome Steves, Winter Steves, Obsidian Steves, and Giants were. They lived all around the world, even around villages/towns/kingdoms of Steves, so they were all different and had different powers. They all knew each other from the start, and would visit. When Colle started discovering the Biome Steves and such, everyone was confused when all of the fairies already knew each other. The fairies' reactions were; "Wait, you guys didn't know about each other?!"

Here's a list of them:

- Lived around the Ocean Steves: Water fairy. Have powers that control anything water-related, whether it be rain or water in a pond, river, or any other body of water. Can even control very, very little amounts of powdered snow, but it's extremely difficult even for ones who have mastered their powers. That can also submerge themselves in water no problem, but have to go back up for air every 10 minutes or so. They'd either live on islands close to the Ocean Steves' settlements or made floating towns right above them.

- Lived around the Forest Steves: Nature fairy. Controls anything related to plants. Can make them grow, move them, and change them from one plant to another. They tend to more lean towards flower-growing, but it's not uncommon for a few to specialize in trees and other plants. They live in either treetops, inside trees, in the ground, or the Forest Steves would make small homes on the fences surrounding their houses.

- Lived around the Desert Steves: Fire fairy. Very careful about using their powers near the Desert Steves, they can (obviously) control fire, turn obsidian into lava on command when they're touching it, make small embers appear, and emit a kind of heat wave around them. They were the energetic counterparts to the Desert Steves, given their 'fiery' personalities, and would often be dragging their lazy friends into doing the chores that needed to be done in their village or even making sure they keep themselves alive. The Desert Steves might've been lazy, but they hated seeing their small friends upset, so they would listen.

- Lived around the Winter Steves: Ice fairy. Similar to the water fairies, they control anything related to the frozen lands of the taiga. Can move snow around, make things out of the snow, control ice, create ice at will, and a large group of them can conjure a snowstorm if they work together. They have a subspecies; the ones that lived around the Giants. These larger fairies were bigger than the others, of course, but had many similarities to the ice fairies given their exactly-the-same powers. They had always known of each other, even while the Giants and Winter Steves weren't exactly friendly with each other. Not wanting to cause problems between the two, they just wouldn't let them know that they were seeing each other. These two acted as ambassadors when the Giants and Winter Steves were re-introducing each other, and were still a little hesitant. The Giants and Winter Steves, once they found out that the fairies were meeting each other in secret because of their disagreements, actually felt pretty bad about it and quickly got over it so they wouldn't sever ties between the fairies anymore. The ice fairies live inside the ice spikes like apartment buildings, while the giant fairies made their own houses from stone and other materials.

- Lived around the Obsidian Steves: Crystal fairy. Made just as strong as their near-indestructible friends, these fairies became natural warriors and learned combat alongside the Obsidian Steves. These fairies can create crystal walls for defense, spikes to use as weapons, larger spikes for either traps or another way of defense, and make crystal grow along a surface. They can easily make precious resources like diamonds or emeralds grow from just stone, which helped a lot with weapon-making. Just like the ice and giant fairies, these ones would meet in secret with other fairies so they wouldn't cause arguments because of the Obsidian and Winter Steves' not-so-well-off relations to one another. And just like with the other two, things were quickly reconciled when the two sides realized that they were making their small friends meet in secret because of their squabbles.

(I'm making these ones their own list bc this would get long)

- Red ones have a small amount of fire powers, but mostly have powers that revolve around knowledge. They have a better memory, are naturally wiser and learn faster, and can understand redstone better than any of the others. They can also grow roses on command. These fairies live in tree hollows, mostly, but also make homes in giant rose bushes.

- Orange ones love to build, and put detail into every little thing they make. They can carry heavier objects, have natural talent for things like painting or pottery, and create small things like a colorful rock from thin air. They brought in a new flower to the world using their powers, a marigold. These fairies usually live inside in-ground hollows that they build out like the underground part of an anthill, but it's not uncommon that they make treehouses.

- Yellow ones are just as speedy as the Steves they live around, with faster flight and running abilities. Other powers are immunity to lightning, and electricity conduction/release on command. They can grow both sunflowers and dandelions, but prefer the dandelions. They usually live in high places, because of lightning, so they like to settle in tree canopies or make their own add-ons to trees or abandoned buildings and turn them into settlements.

- Green ones grow more plants than the average fairy, and especially love making tall trees. Their powers on top of that is healing and the ability to speed up a plant's growth or fix it in case it's broken or infested. These fairies also grew in a new flower, green chrysanthemums. These fairies also tend to make homes inside trees, but expand into the tree's canopy and into other trees.

- Blue ones can freely travel from the World Beyond and the Overworld without any consequences, as they originally lived in the Overworld but were able to move to their Blue Steve friends. They can sense souls, turn transparent for a short time and go through things like walls, and see spirits that are lost in the Overworld and don't know how to get back to the World Beyond. They grow blue orchids with their powers as well, and enjoy making hats out of the blooms occasionally. If they live in the Overworld, they reside in snowy mountaintops and make small towns just like the Steves do. If they live in the World Beyond, the Blue Steves tend to just help make tiny houses for them and set them near the own houses.

- Indigo ones, like the Blue ones, can travel freely between the Middle World and Overworld. They can teleport (unlike other fairies), open portals at will, and can establish a telepathic connection with someone if they have a close enough bond using a special pendant charm only they can make. What better flower for them to grow than the plant literally known as 'indigo'? If living in the Overworld, they tend to make homes built on cliffsides far inside of forests as they're more shy, however there are some more outgoing ones that prefer to live around other people. If in the Middle World, they have their own little section of island near the Indigo Steves.

- Violet ones are very much affected by the Violet Steves' color-changing aura, even to the point that they gained heart-shaped wings over the years. These fairies can make flowers bloom just by touching them, have a natural way with potions and such, and are immune to most harmful effects of potions (withering and instant damage are the exceptions, as they're too hard-hitting). Rather than having one flower to grow, the Violet fairies can instantly grow a multitude of pink flowers, from roses, to hydrangeas, to carnations, to tulips, to peonies, to lilies, even escalating to flowering trees like sakura, pink trumpets, pink magnolias, and pink dogwood trees. The most social out of all of them, the Violet fairies always live around either the Violet Steves or any other group of people in a town.

Now that all of that is out of the way... like I said, the fairies were thought to have been killed off when Void wiped out the Biome, Winter, and Obsidian Steves and the Giants. Really, the ones that survived hid within a small dimension(a lot of them survived, actually. They were able to fly away from the Darkness' attacks once it realized it couldn't infect them). This dimension is entirely forest, with differently colored trees, floating islands, and other things the fairies could hide in.

However... one was left behind.

Sabre was separated from the rest as a child during the portal travel, and survived out in the wilderness in a world between the Steve Realm and the Fairies' Realm. When he grew up, Void tricked him into the tomb while he was out getting supplies. Thus began the adventure...

Now, some things about Sabre in this AU; He is a special type known as a Prism fairy. This type is rare, and is a culmination of every fairy type. Yes, every. Single. One. So, he has a lot of power. He is slightly bigger than a normal fairy, has all of the combined powers of the Chroma fairies and the Biome/Ice/Crystal fairies, has immunity to most potion effects, and has a few powers exclusive to him. Problem is... he doesn't know that.

Having been separated from all of the other fairies, he doesn't even know what he is. All he knows is that he has wings, is tiny (but has a bigger form he can turn into which makes him the same size as a toddler), can grow a lot of different flowers, and for some reason lightning doesn't effect him. That's it, that's all he knows. So like Orange Steve, he's extremely powerful and doesn't even realize it. When he enters the Steve Realm, he only knows he's a fairy once all of the Steves make such a big deal out of it.

Now, you may be thinking: "Oh, he's tiny most of the time, someone could easily crush him or something and he'd die!" Nah. That's not happening. Why? Because this dude has Ant-Man logic.

Nobody can crush him, he can push back on someone's hand if they try. He can actually flip someone over if he wanted to, but he doesn't really want to do that much. Tiny dude can break down a metal gate and be completely fine. Just imagine the moment where Nightmare is holding the Orange Village in his evil lair place thing: Everything's fine, when suddenly the Darkness is getting got by a tiny little ticked-off fairy.

About his design, Sabre mostly looks like his normal self (most recent skin). The only change is iridescent, large, flowy wings on his back and the fact that he's the size of a small doll most of the time.
