Had this idea while I was at school-

What if, when Sabre arrived in the Steve Realm through Red's portal, he suddenly had an amulet stuck around his neck? As in, the amulet has bound itself to Sabre, and he can't get it off no matter what he tries. It wouldn't go without benefits, though. The amulet would give Sabre powers, too, like telekinesis, pyrokinesis, magic blades (like magic floating swords he can summon whenever), invisibility, and the ability to hover for a short amount of time.

Many villains would try to get a hold on the amulet, but it wouldn't work because it's bound to him. Some wanted it for immunity to the Darkness (because they'd think it was the amulet's doing), some wanted it for the power, and others wanted it because they knew where it came from.

At the end of the story, it would be revealed that the amulet used to belong to none other than the First Curse, as it had rejected him once he became evil. It had bound itself to Sabre because it sensed the Origin's power from him. Sabre used the amulet against TFC a few times, and later figure out that it could reverse and break curses that TFC put on things or people. So, that turned out useful :)
