Those of you that read my prompt books know this one lol

In this AU, Sabre has an incident with a mysterious underground lake, falling into it while exploring the area and almost being dragged down into it by the water itself. Little did he know at the time, that 'lake' was actually a gateway into a place known as the Abyss.

Nobody had ever fallen into that gateway and came back out before, so it's a shock to everyone when Sabre's appearance suddenly begins to shift. He starts to grow much taller, his skin turns into a cold grey with hints of various colors, his hands start to form into claws, his hair's color begins to desaturate, and antlers begin to grow on his head. After some brief panic from he and Time, Sabre is brought to the Professor in hopes that he knows what's happening.

Soon, it's confirmed that Sabre is slowly turning into a creature of the Abyss.

Now Sabre and his friends are trying to find a way to reverse the Abyss' effects on him, and while they search, more and more secrets of the Abyss start to surface from beyond the gateway. Those who have disappeared left behind clues as to what happened to them, both outside and inside the Abyss. Some are journal entries, some are pictures...

While warnings of a great beast are numerous, and somehow start to appear wherever Sabre is.

(The Leaders being told about the situation during a meeting.)

M (wrapping up the explanation): So yeah, that's... happening.

(Silence)

Orange Leader: ...Why is it always Sabre when these things happen?

Green Leader: Seriously, it's like he's a magnet for it.

M: I have no idea.

—

(Sabre exploring the Abyss, which is very ominous.)

Sabre (muttering to himself, clearly scared): We're gonna be safe, and we're all gonna turn out alright-

(Sabre sees a silhouette of a humanoid creature move, accompanied by skittering sounds)

Sabre: WHAT IN THE FREAKING WORLD WAS THAT-

—

(Time relaxing in the house when he hears a 'thunk' noise upstairs.)

Time: Sabre? You alright?

(Sabre, who is now very tall, got his newly growing antlers stuck in the doorframe when he tried to duck under it to exit his room.)

Sabre: ...I can't get through my door.
