Age: You choose. He's normally 18-19 years old (until Ishida gives us our home back, dang it!), but there are flashbacks in TG where I'd assume he was about 7 or 8 or somewhere in elementary school.

Gender: male

Hair color: ... orange. Some people call it bleached blonde. In season 1, it also has a patch of brown at the top, and it's pretty short. In root A, it's longer, and it no longer has brown.

Eye color: brown (at least in the anime. I looked at my anime pictures if you're suspicious.)

Species (spoiler alert): huuuman.. but.. ghoulish..? You get to choose. There are theories that he was actually a ghoul, and he is implied as dead. There are also theories that Ken only ate his legsies, and some theorize that he was kidnapped by Aogiri/Eto/Kano/etc. and turned into a half-ghoul like his boyfriend. Oops. Sorry.

Sexuality: so very gay. He clearly likes boys, what are you talking about? He clearly has the hots for Kaneki. He just flirts to make Ken think he's not gay. So very secretive and conniving, hehe.

Personality/Description: He is a sunflower. He is the Sun. Hide laughs; Hide smiles; Hide innocent as f*ck and yet very intelligent and observant - too much for his own good. Hide has a good intuition, and he acts really naive and stupid. He is very compassionate and wants nothing more than Kaneki to be happy. Therefore, he has to make the entire world happy. Such a weight on his shoulders. Hide makes it his life mission to make Kaneki happy, smile, and laughy. Yay.

History (spoiler alert): Moved to the 20th Wa-...dudes. I just realized. If the theory of him being a ghoul is correct, that's why he moved to the 20th Ward: his old home wasn't safe anymore. Maybe the CCG found out they were ghouls or something. anyway-rd at some point in elementary school. (I assume around 2nd grade, but it's just an assumption/perception thing.) He made friends with Kaneki (bless his heart. ... and his body because Kaneki - ahem) and has been best friends with him ever since. Clearly has a crush on Kaneki. (I ship Hideneki if you hadn't noticed haha.) Got into the ghoul mess when Ken became a ghoul. Knew Ken was a ghoul the instant he became one but got proof/got his assumption confirmed in the fight with Nishiki. Was barfed on and stomped on by Nishiki. Nearly got eaten by Kaneki but was saved by Touka. (...bless her soul.. *mumble, mumble* I guess. Because Kaneki probably would've attempted suicide again. .. WHICH WOULD BE BETTER THAN CHAPTER 125 DANG IT! Carry on.) Walked in on Nishiki and his girlfriend Kimi. Hide x Kaneki because Kaneki ate Hide and supposedly that's marriage. Carry on, I'm babbling in denial.

Manga: Led the CCG anonymously to Aogiri's hide out. (..pft. Hide. I didn't mean to do that.) Joined the CCG as a messenger to find Kaneki and was found out as the anonymous helper/tipster. Became Amon and Akira's assistant.

Now into books because Kaneki bailed on him. Goes to Sen's book signings in hope of seeing Kaneki. (AND DANG IT, WHY?!! WHY, ISHIDA, WHY?!! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO BREAK OUR HEARTS BY PUTTING HIDE *THIS* SHY OF MEETING KANEKI?!!! (sobs in my watermelon corner))

Later finds Kaneki in the sewers as Centipede and has se-ahem. Kaneki hallucinates and wakes up with Hide no longer there. Who knows if there was blood or not because Kaneki sees flowers. It's implied that Kaneki ate Hide and healed up. Theories suggest Hide is not dead, but that's denial. ..that I full-heartedly believe in.

Anime: joins the CCG as a messenger to find Kaneki. Later sees Noro standing over Seido's body and gets stabbed by Noro as he runs away. Finds Kaneki and drags him to Anteiku with a giant hole in his stomach. (Who knows how that occurred now that I think about it. Dang, Hide's strong!) Smiles and asks Kaneki to go home with him. Possibly had se-ahem. Kaneki carries Hide to Arima so that Arima will save Hide anD EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE AND KANEKI AND HIDE WILL GO HOME.

Seme/Seke/Uke/something else: depends. With Kuroneki, he's seme. With anyone else, he's either Seke or Uke. Let's just call him a Seke.

Likes: Kaneki. Kaneki Kaneki Kaneki- ok. Investigating. Putting trackers on people that his intuition tells him is dangerous. Going home with Kaneki. Eyepatches? Ghoul masks? The sort? Foreign languages. Music. People. Is now into books because that's the only thing that connects him with Kaneki now besides the jacket he wears in Kaneki's place and clearly sniffs at night when he's mastur-okay. Supposedly he is suicidal, so he likes dying. Unfortunately for him but fortunately for us, he keeps failing at being eaten by Kaneki. Supposedly he has an eating kink. .. I won't lie, I have the same issue.

Dislikes: Tou-dy-yea. Nothing. He used to dislike books. He has Kaneki Separation issues. Having to follow Kaneki, having to figure out Kaneki's issues on his own, being alone.

Kinks of the character: praising Kaneki(?), making people happy, being eaten(?), possibly a domination fetish. Thank you for reminding me, Ellie. Hide also has a rough sex kink (which now that I think about it, I never knew that was a kink. Whelp, one more thing to add to my list of kinks! I seriously need to have a list written down somewhere). And he has a Master kinky.

Other info: I ship Hideyato because Kaneki left them both without a partner. Hideneki may be my TG OTP, but I am up for anything with Hide.
