Backstory: Russel—Misha's father—was born in the Envy Ring, which showed a lot in his personality—those traits being spiteful and envious. He traveled between the rings a lot, and eventually went to the Lust Ring, where he met Shirley—Misha's mother—at a bar and instantly fell in love with her. Getting jealous of a succubus that had come up to flirt with her and who was making her obviously uncomfortable, he told them off for her. Shirley thanked Russel, then had him introduce himself. From there, they hit it off, getting to know each other more and eventually ending the night by going back to Shirley's place. They kept in contact with each other, quickly developing deeper feelings for one another. A week after their night together, Shirley found out that she was pregnant. Despite being unsure whether or not it was Russel's and if he would stay with her after hearing about it, she told him. He decided to propose to her, not wanting anybody else to be involved with his child and Shirley. Shortly thereafter, they got married. He supported her as she went through the pregnancy, helping her prepare for the baby and them coming up with the name "Misha" if it's a girl. When Shirley's due date eventually came, Russel rushed her to the hospital. He was left in the waiting room with a bunch of other new fathers as they took her back. He talked amongst the fathers, explaining his story and how he proposed to Sylvia—after finding out she was pregnant—to start their life together, having met her in the Lust Ring since he traveled the Rings. One of the fathers, a snarky imp from the Wrath Ring, made an offhand remark that Russel wouldn't last a day in the ring. Russel, being the spiteful imp he was, didn't stop thinking about the comment. That was, until a doctor came into the room and somberly asked Russel to follow him. He was told the news that there were complications during the birthing process that resulted in Shirley's death. That left Russel to take the newborn Misha and raise her on his own.

Russel decided to move away from their previous home and settle down in the Wrath Ring, spiting the father from before. Raising Misha in the ring, it was found just how envious her father could be, as he always wanted her to be better than any of the other parents' kids. He put a lot of pressure on her to strive to be the best in whatever she did, though still tried to be supportive of her and listened whenever she didn't want to do something. She was always rivaled up against Millie, who she had grown to be close friends with, despite being almost opposite in their combativeness. They never let their parents' forced rivalry get in the way of the friendship, however. Misha started to slowly develop a crush on Millie—which made her start to realize her sexuality and feelings—though never told her in fear that she would think she was weird or that it would ruin their friendship. Russel always pushed Misha to train using weapons and fighting, and not wanting to disappoint him, she went along with it. She grew to be quite handy with weapons and using her physical slickness to her advantage. She spent a lot of time hanging with her tail wrapped around a chain to develop better dexterity and strength in it, which eventually caused an injury that gave her the striped scars along her tail.

When Misha turned 18, she moved out to escape the violence of the Wrath Ring and her father pushing her to fight, finding herself in the Pride Ring. Wanting to strive in the opposite direction, she went into something that delved more into the communicating part of arguments, looking into psychology. Being compassionate and peaceful caused her to be an outcast in comparison to the rest of the demons and imps in the Pride Ring, though she tried to avoid any conflicts by mostly keeping to herself. Her attempts of avoiding others were cut short, however, when her oddities were noticed by a gang of mischievous demons. They mocked her into an alleyway, where they threw bleach in her eyes—giving her the tear scars—nearly blinding her, then tied her up and threw her in a dumpster. After almost an hour, she was eventually able to drag herself out using her tail. Before she could get far, she was found by a dumpster diver, who she attempted to call to help for. Unfortunately for her, the disregarding diver grabbed her and tossed her out in the middle of the street, out in front of a fancy carriage. She curled up and braced for impact. The carriage was magically stopped, however, as she was met with glowing red eyes peering at her through the darkness of the enclosed cart. The gaze was suddenly broken as a woman started yelling, asking "why the fuck have we stopped?" A gentle male's voice replied and told her that they were about to run over someone, but the woman argued that they were about to be late. The male timidly retorted that they were only running late because she was spending too much time doing her makeup, which the woman snapped back at him that she had to make up for his incompetence in some way. Misha listened in on the arguments, but paused as she noticed her restraints glowing with magic and untying themselves, along with the burning in her eyes and the blurriness from the bleach. She looked up to meet the red eyes glancing over to her, before the carriage suddenly started once more and swerved over a bit to allow her to duck under the cart. Her tail quickly grabbed on to one of the under railings and she held on, wanting to see who it was that had saved her and thank him personally. Eventually, the carriage came to another stop in front of a large palace. Misha dropped down and quickly scampered out from under the carriage and into a pile of bushes to avoid being discovered, worried that she would be punished for having snuck through the security of a higher-class. The woman complained about a smell from within the carriage, dismissively blaming it on the male and mocking him for it. Stella soon stepped out of the carriage, which caused Misha to be taken aback for a moment. The hybrid was unable but to be awe-stricken by the avian demon's beauty, locked in a trance as she watched her hurriedly walk along the path and up the stairs to joyously meet up with another avian demon—Andrealphus—embracing him in a hug. Finally snapping out of it, Misha then looked back to the carriage, where she saw Stolas finally stepping out. She immediately recognized the red eyes as they somehow immediately locked with hers, as if they could tell—smell—of her presence. Misha quickly ducked back in the bushes in fear that he would have her dragged out. Noticing that Stella had already left inside with Andrealphus, Stolas approached the bushes and gently coaxed Misha out with the wonder of why she had followed them. She then admitted that she wanted to thank him for not killing her and helping her free of her ties, saying that she'd never seen a demon be as kind to her as he was, even with as little kindness as it could be in the circumstances. Stolas assured her that it was the least he could do, unable to understand the point of such nonsensical violence and dismissal to another's life. The two of them had a nice conversation with one another, which was short-lived by Stella's howl that he needed to show face before she ripped it off. Stolas bid farewell to Misha and hoped to see her once more, before leaving to abide to Stella's demands. Misha quickly made her way out of the bushes to scamper across the path and climb over the wall and hedges to get out.

Being infatuated with Stella and wanting a friend like Stolas, Misha did everything she could to somehow get in their lives. Despite worrying that she would be caught by someone else, Misha started to visit Stolas. Stolas didn't mind it, happy to be able to talk with someone of likemindedness, though he always made sure to hide her whenever Stella came around in fear that he'd be yelled at. They would often meet in his garden, Stolas always leaving a small hatch open to allow easy entry for Misha. Though Misha wasn't as passionate in gardening as Stolas was, she did like the way the plants and flowers looked. She would often replicate the way they looked on paper, finding that she had a passion for drawing.

While not talking with Stolas, Misha would watch Stella from the shadows. Coming out of the palace one day, Stella was ambushed by a group of thug demons who circled her and started to make snarky remarks about how a Goetic princess would get them a lot of money. They were quickly thwarted as Misha jumped out from the bushes, tackling one of them to knock them into another. She got them out from behind Stella to allow her to back away. She then continued to make work of fighting the thugs off until once they were bloody and bruised—and Misha had ripped the head and connected spine from their leader—they finally got the message. They ran off with their leader's dead body and decapitated head, leaving Misha to cautiously stand on guard as she panted, out of breath. Stella was left frozen in slight shock from it all. Misha worriedly looked back to her, timidly turning toward her and looking up to her. It took a moment for Stella to regain her bearings, but she was able to when Misha asked if Stella was alright and apologized for the "episode," saying that she just didn't want her hurt. Being the pompous princess she is, Stella made sure to quickly dismiss the efforts, then started to complain about how her dress had been stained with blood and how one of the "little shits" had tore the bottom of her dress with a knife. Stella looked to Misha suspiciously, starting to wonder how she had gotten into the courtyard of her palace in the first place. Deciding that she was a "generous" princess, however, Stella let Misha leave without alerting a guard, under the agreement that she said nothing of what happened. Stella made the quiet, slightly underhanded comment that she would make a good guard dog before she turned away and started back inside.

Figuring she had no other choice and being too desperate, Misha took the comment literally and gave in, deciding to apply to be a guard dog for Stella, despite not liking the violence. Though suggesting that she could deal with fiendish demons herself, Stella agreed that a guard dog would be of convenience. Misha and Stella's relationship started off with Stella being snooty and demanding and Misha doing everything with no complaints, basically taking the job of a servant. Their relationship was a very slow burn, it taking a year for Stella to even address Misha by her name.

When Stella was pregnant, Misha made sure to be there by her side 24/7, and once the egg was laid, Misha was there to assist Stella in keeping it warm and healthy. When Octavia eventually hatched, Misha was infatuated with the chick, being there to watch over her and play with her during the times Stolas was busy with his duties. Stella didn't think much to care for the newly hatched chick, thinking it to be Stolas's job anyway, but couldn't help but find Misha's interactions with her to be endearing. Misha was sure to be a good companion for Octavia as she grew up.

While Misha didn't approve of the way Stella treated Stolas, she believed that it wasn't her place to say anything, so she tried her best to ignore it in the moments and talked with Stolas in private later to apologize. Misha often tried to pull Octavia away during rowdy arguments to avoid getting her involved, though she wasn't always able to keep her from seeing it. One night, Misha returned to Stella's side after a particularly heated argument, where Stella was still fuming with anger. Misha listened intently as Stella started to vent to her, expressing her worries and such. When Misha suggested a way to overcome a few of her troubles, Stella realized that she was ranting to her. She started to dismiss it—secretly slightly embarrassment—but Misha assured her that she didn't mind and was there to listen. She told her about how she had graduated in psychology and was a certified therapist, then suggested that she could double as Stella's therapist in addition to her bodyguard. Stella was hesitant about the idea, since she was egotistical and believed that she didn't need a "therapist." Despite that, Stella started to vent to Misha whenever she became troubled, which Misha would respond to appropriately and help her through it. Over the years, Stella started to slowly become more affectionate toward Misha, treating her more like a loved therapy animal than the obligatory guard dog from before. Misha is always worried about Stella's outbursts affecting her physical wellbeing. She's always trying to deescalate situations whenever things start to get tense, though finds that Stella's explosive temper can make it difficult. She'll always try to coax Stella to calm down, and once Stella's stormed off from the situation, she'll comfort her. Sometimes she'll use words to calm her down, other times she'll simply rest close to Stella's face and purr as she entices her to pet her—since she knows that the sound and feel of purring has a stress relieving effect.

Over the years of growing closer to Stella, Misha's feelings grew more intense. Though Stella had never realized that her growing comfort with Misha was feelings starting to emerge, she was eventually clued in when her brother pointed out their affectionate behavior to one another. She started to question herself, slowly realizing that she did have romantic feelings despite how much she tried to convince herself otherwise since Misha was of lower class. Though she feared that she would be considered a plebeian if her secret got out—along with a hypocrite due to her outbursts in response to Stolas's infidelities—she kept the claim of Misha being her therapy pet, using it as an excuse to stay affectionate with her. Misha never catches on to Stella's shared feelings, thinking that Stella was of too high a class to even consider Misha as nothing more than a pet. Misha had grown to understand that despite the way Stella acted, she wasn't inherently "evil" as everyone had thought. She understood that the way Stella was raised and the environment had warped her sense of right and wrong, and is always trying to inconspicuously persuade her to do the right thing.
