Homura's Curse pt. 1

PMMM - The Forgotten Goddess Rp

Years had passed for the group, and it was a given. Time stopped for no one, not even your best friend. Rio and Haruka has grown closer, obviously. What other direction would they go?

Cyclone and the other saints had taken control of the Homura search in light of new developments. What they were, the group wasn't told. They could only hunt down witches and keep each other sane.

Rio's finger rubbed a dot of melted chocolate from the Hershey's kisses off Haruka's face with a soft smile. "We can't take you anywhere." He said with a teasing grin as he pecked her lips. The shy girl let our a muffled squeal in surprise before her cheeks reddened to the color of bright, vibrant apples.

"Rio." Camilla gently hummed as she braided Yuuki's hair for school. She always sent notes with Yuuki's lunches to deter suspicious teachers from questioning the expensive looking ring known as the soul crown. Always with notes like, 'Mommy wasn't able to pack you the silver utensils today, I'm sorry' or other stupidly obvious 'I'm rich' notes. "Don't tease the poor girl. There, you're all ready to go." With a kiss to the little girl's hair, the witch in a human body got up and walked over to the kitchen while Rio continued to tease the ever living heck out of Haruka.

Liam watched in mild amusement as he and Lapis, along with Sakina, Amara, and Lucas waited on the two to continue the game of life.

'It's quite ironic.' Liam thought with pursed lips as he leaned back. He grinned before calling, "Get a room or play your turn!" Harina helped and scooted away in humiliation whine Rio smirked and consulted to Akane about his next move.

"Hey, no fair! He has two people on his team!" Amara scowled. "The rest of us should pair up too!" The pretty girl was promptly shut up by Akane suing Amara in the game for 3 grand. "I'll get you back for that!" She lunged across the table while Akane promptly shoved Rio back in control, making the boy Yelp and blush darkly from the sudden position he was found in.

"Now, you're a nice girl and all, but-" Rio started nervously, a slight smirk on his face.

"UGH! Whatever! I'm going to go take a walk!" She huffed, cheeks burning. She, of course didn't hate Rio, but she respected him enough to leave his relationship alone. Rio just laughed, a deep laugh which made Haruka's cheeks flush before she quickly moved her piece.

Liam had a wide grin on his face as he called after the beautiful girl, "You Can tackle me whenever you want babe!" He was promptly met with a flip flop to the face.

Sakina silently moved her piece, deep in thought as she always was these days. "C'mere." She told Yuuki. "Let's get your to school." She sent an apologetic look to the other magical girls and boys before getting up to walk Yuuki to school. Of course she was missing school, but no magical girl could compromise being hunted by demons. Yuuki was the only one cleared by Faith to continue schooling through the event.

Through the two years, Yuuki had grown into a fine young woman. While still a kid, she had proudly reached 12 years old and looked the part.

She didn't have a huge chest, but she didn't need one. She resembled a dainty fairy. Thin legs and good form, although her facial structure was a bit more thin and mature. She had grown her dusty light brown hair out to Suzume's length and kept it there, much to Sakina's dismay.

Sakina got out of the hideout and walked Yuuki to school, her lips pressed into a line as she clutched her soul gem in her pocket. She missed the days where she would walk to school with her mother and maybe get a doughnut if she was good, and even the days where she would walk with the whole group to school even though she was mostly stoic and scowling the entire walk.

Her lips twitched in a moment from a distant smile to trembling lips.

Sakina received many looks from the adults, they knew she was being 'home schooled', but it was easy to see something was eating her up.

After returning to the house they were set up in, Camilla pulled Sakina aside to speak while the others talked of something. With a single glance, Sakina stiffened.

The saints, and they had returned with nothing other than a single cracked soul gem which Liam was looking over. Dread churned in the group's stomach as they realized who did it, and why.

Faith had tear filled eyes and Tamer was unconscious on the table, labored breathing as her soul gem cracked a bit more.

"What happened?!" Rio demanded while Haruka tenderly took the soul gem with sad eyes. The magical girl caressed the cracks with magic to ease the pain that the saint was experiencing.

"I-I'd rather not say..." Faith whispered with a nervous look in Sakina's direction, lips puckering. She had to find a way, to save everyone. Surely Suzume didn't want to attack her friends, no one would want to. Homura was forcing her to. Liam was having none of it.

"Suzume did this?! Dammit just kill her already! For three years she's been tormenting and attacking us! Stop holding back for Sakina's sake, she's a big girl and has enough common sense to know when someone was to be put down-" Liam was cut off when Sakina pinched him hard in the face, tears welling in her eyes.

Liam narrowed his eyes in anger as Sakina shoved him to the ground and started to pound his face. He transformed and summoned a sleeping bomb specialized to target Sakina while Camilla desperately tried to pull Sakina off and the others tried to do the same, but Sakina's magic lashed out at them.

"Throw that and I'll slit your goddamn throat!" Sakina screamed as she summoned a dagger, but Liam kicked her off.

"Stop!" Lapis, the wall flower, cried as she got in between them. "Please, stop. We have to stay together! No more-" A cry of insanity game out of Sakina as she lunged at Liam, who had thrown the bomb. As soon as the fumes hit Sakina, the girl's movements grew sluggish and her anger diminished. As Sakina fell to the ground, Lapis caught her mentor with tears in her eyes. Why did they always have to fight?

Liam looked at Faith with a pointed look. "She Can deal with it, if you don't kill Suzume, I will." He bit out. Faith shook her head helplessly. "You saw the note! She sacrificed her very being to save Yuuki! Whatever happens to her now is what she deserves!"

"I can't, I can feel her soul, it's in so much pain, Rio-" Faith started weakly as a sob broke through her mouth. "She's fighting it so much, if we could just- find a way to-"

Haruka narrowed her eyes. "To what? Save her? That means Yuuki would be back with Homura!" She spat bitterly. Dismay was deep in Haruka's stomach, for she knew no one would look for her, only Rio. At least, that's what she thought.

"That's the problem with her wish." Liam said with a quiet voice. "Blind faith in everyone, in her allies." Faith was about to protest but was quickly cut off by the miracle healer. With a sharp glare, he addressed her with, "Not everyone is good, people can be spies and they can betray you. Her priorities weren't with us to save Madoka, they are for her own selfish gain. Face it, faith."

Faith let out another sob as she sunk to the ground. Lapis couldn't help but find herself agreeing with the three magical teens. She knew, deep deep down, it was out of her own selfish wants, but that didn't stop her desire to rid the world of the one girl that diverted Sakina's attention from her.

Faith looked at Lapis for help, eyes pleading to take her side and give Suzume even a chance at survival, but the bitter hearted magical girl turned her back and carried Sakina to her room. "All of you... can just turn your back on her like that?"

Camilla spoke with wide eyes as she looked at the group who made no efforts to save their friend. "After all that she's done for us?" It was no secret her voice wavered with doubt. The witch sat by Faith and held the shaking, sobbing girl to her chest with eyes full of disdain for the group she saw before her.

When no one said anything, she stood. "All of you are bitter." She spat. "I'm going to join the fight, come with when you find your hope again." With that, she took Faith out of the situation while Liam worked on Tamer's soul gem. The truth hurt hard for the group. No one would leave this battle unscathed, and one of them would betray the others.
