Ed's POV
I sighed as someone banged on my door. "Fullmetal! Wake up!" Mustang exclaimed. I grumbled and sat up. "Okay! I'm awake Mustang!" I replied. I stood up and opened the door. Muatang smirked. "Morning Fullmetal." He greeted. "Shut up." I replied with a glare. He chuckled and ruffled my hair. "Come on, breakfast is downstairs. We'll be late for work if we don't hurry." I sighed. I was only staying here for a week, until Al got back. Last night, Mustang had found out that Al was in Resembool, and I basically had no place to stay. I would've been perfectly okay with sleeping on the street. I got dressed and tiredly walked downstairs and into Mustang's kitchen. "By the way, I found a lead for you and Alphonse." He stated. "Really?" I asked. He nodded. "I'll show you it when we get to my office alright?" He asked. I nodded. Eventually, we had finished breakfast and headed to Central Command.
-Time Skip-
We got back to Mustang's house, and I yawned "Tired are we?" Mustang chuckled. "Shut up." I replied. "And besides, you weren't the one cleaning up military archives." I added. "Maybe not, but I do have to deal with a trigger happy Lieutenant." He replied. I laughed a little. "Congratulations. You have my sympathy." I stated sarcastically. Mustang just pretended to look hurt. "My my Fullmetal, it seems that you don't understand the fear of not doing my paper work." He replied. "Where's the fear? Cause I never see you of all people working." I teased. After our argument that lasted for at least an hour, Mustang made dinner, and I decided to read as he watched a movie. "You sure the TV won't bother you?" He asked. I nodded in response and read. A few hours later, I fell asleep on the couch.
Roy's POV
After the movie ended, I looked over Ed and saw he had fallen asleep. I smiled softly and picked him up gently. I placed his head on my chest, and used one arm to support his weight, and the other to wrap around his back. I walked into the guest room, and placed him down on the bed. I lingered for a few minutes, taking in the sight of Ed. I normally see this golden haired boy tense, constantly working, walking around with caution, hell he even had his guard up! He was alert. And now, I look at him, and see a boy, peacefully sleeping, unguarded, and this all looked like a fragile picture. I felt as if, I were to even gently cup his cheek, this picture would crack and shatter. Even so, I couldn't help but gently kiss him. "I love you so much Ed." I whispered into his ear softly and stood up to leave. Until, something -more like someone- grabbed my hand. "Please...could you stay.....Roy?" A tired and most likely half asleep asked. I softy smiled and nodded as I laid down next to him, and Ed snuggled close to me. I wrapped my arms around his waist and kissed his forehead. As I drifted off, I heard Ed reply, "I love you too." And kissed my cheek.
