Catherine POV

"I didn't think it would be this difficult!" Alice screamed running away from the cyclops that was chasing us. Is it just me or is my life getting weirder by the second.

"Will you stop complaining. Running from that thing won't get us anywhere. We need to approach this different. Catherine could you please do the thing you normally do?" Once we were safe I turned to Naomi smiling sheepishly.

"I don't really know how to use it" she stared at me blankly then sighed.

"Okay you work on that while we create a distraction" before I could argue she had already wondered of.

Okay.....think Catherine. What happens whenever I phase out? It just takes over. I can't control it. Can I?  I can barely use my powers how can I control some force inside me.

I knew you were worthless that voice. It's the same voice form Shadow travel.

"Leave me alone" I said holding my head.

You don't deserve this power. Let me take over something told me not to trust it.

"No!" I did it. I felt power course through the my veins. My skin melt away leaving a golden glow to my frame. My hair turned into pure light trailing behind me. It was like what happened two night ago repeating it's self. Only this time it was different. My skin wasn't white it was golden. My hair wasn't red it was just light.

"Catherine!" I had very little control over my actions. Unlike last time when I had no control. Shadow travel. I felt warmth take over my body. After a few minutes I was standing infront of a horrific scene.

Raven and Naomi being choked by a creature that seemed to be made of rocks. Brooke, Kaden and Alice were being restrained by vines.

"Cat! You did it! There's no time save them" I don't know what to do. I stretched out my hand and something happened.

Princess do you wish to free your friends form this creatures grasp? A voice asked in the back of my mind. I nodded vigorously.

I second that motion. Pheoh? Another voice appeared this on was more masculine.

Motion carried. Nefera it was then I was hit with a blast of power. I watched as a white light shone from my palm hitting the creature.

It immediately dropped my friends in a cry of pain. Before they could hit the ground Naomi had created a bed for them to fall on out of leaves. Thud!

I wish to destroy this creature! I yelled in my mind hoping to get an answer.

Why so? The female voice asked sounding intresting.

It has brought harm to my friends. I need to stop it before it kills us there was silence until the male voice spoke up.

Seconded. I do not wish to be turned to dust. Nefera? The female sighed then that familiar feeling of power came over me.

"Motion carried. Destruction of creature engaged" the creature exploded it's blood splattering everywhere. It's done. My power disappered like it was never there. The voices were gone. I was back to my human form thankfully.

"You did it! And you said you couldn't" I smiled feeling light headed.

"There are more of these creatues out here its not safe. We need to find the others. My fa-king won't stop until he gets you Catherine your powerful and he knows that" Raven then turned to me holding up my backpack. I took it form her seeing she had one of her own.

"How do you know this?" I asked out of curiosity.

"The Oracle came to me in a dream so I came to find you. She said I was to help you even if it costed my life and I will do what she says. Now let's keep moving there's a place further north were we can stop for supplies and a good night's sleep. We won't be able to go back to the Academy. At least not for now..." It took me a while to process this.

"Okay your free to go. Alice there's been something I've been wanting to ask" the popstar urged me to continue.

"What are you" she laughed then smiled cheekily.

"I'm a hybrid. Witch and a fate. We're able to shift into mighty warriors. The only down fall is we kill. Whether we like it or not. When we shift were loyal to our friends. The one in authority if not on of us we obey them like a slave it's master"

"Kind of like a secret weapon" I nodded then sighed shaking my head.

"Just when I thought my life couldn't get less complicated"

We stopped infront of a worn down motel. The windows were missing a few pieces and the doors we croaked but other than that it was normal as they get.

"Let's go" Raven lead us inside. The place was empty other that one or two persons sitting down and watching tv. There was a couch in the middle of a room parallel to the tv. Across from that was what seemed to be a mini bar with a desk infront of it.

"Raven! What are you doing here? " a middle aged man asked stepping from behind the counter. He hugged her tightly then pulled away.

"Not much. I need a place to stay and get some grub think you could help?" The man grinned.

"Anything for you princess. But tell me which species?" The man asked glancing at us.

"Ghost, mermaid, hybrid and Elemental" he nodded shrugging.

"Got a few supplies in the back. Weapons, clothes, food and a few moonstones some essentials too" Raven nodded disappearing in the shadows.

"So what's a few kids like you doing out here. Escaping the war. Running from your parents. Trying to hide form the kings rage?" Kings rage. There only three kings and five queens. Cameron is missing in action and the demon king is starting this. Who is he talking about?

"No were just on a little trip. Well be gone before morning" Naomi said sweetly. She then ran her hand through her hair then braided it.

I glanced at the hair tie on my hand then shrugged. I put my hair in a ponytail  taking it out of my face. Raven came back a few minutes later holding a lot of stuff.

"There are going to be ten of us. But right now there six. Ghost you first" Kaden stepped forward folding his arms across his chest. She then started to explain.

"Ghost you get this. Twin daggers and a communicator. You also have a first aid kit and a few moonstones. You don't need for or clothes you your good. Elemental your up" Naomi had this smile on her face that made her looks scary.

"Earth right. A katanna, communicator, first aid kit, spare clothes and some moonstones. You also have a few potions and a map of the supernatural world. You have a few packets Gold dust just in case. You have the money well most of it. Firestones are in you smallest pocket. You have a few potions to help with the food. Fate your turn" Alice smiled jumping us and down while Naomi took up her bag.

"I couldn't forget about you. You have all the essentials. Spare clothes, first aid kit everything. Gold dust may come in handy moonstones you have those. Food got you covered. Potions for you inner witch and a mini cauldron. There's a spell book in there with a few must have ingredients" Alice smirked taking up her bag.

"What about us?" Brooke asked.

"You already have everything you need. So your fine. The only other thing is clothes we have plenty of that. You already have moonstones and weapons so we're good. Brooke though you need these" Raven handed Brooke a pair of sneakers.

"What do I do with them?" She asked.

"Wear them. They'll help you. They can even make you fly just stomp three times and repeat to land" Raven then turned to  me.

"Your fine. Your mom gave you everything you needed including a communicator what she didn't give you was this" she handed me a bracelet that help multiple charms and mini figurines.

"It's a pearl band. It has multiple charms that if summoned can appear to help it's keeper. Don't ever take it off. Now let's get some food I'm starving"
