Catherine POV

"Angels, Fairies and nymphs in there respective groups. Fall in formation" this is so boring.

"Psst. Catherine over here" I turned to see Andrew calling me. Anthony was right beside him with his wings extened.

"Why aren't your wings out?"

"I feel insecure whenever there out. Here just different form everyone else's" Andrew laughed.

"There supposed to be different. No two wings are exactly the same unless there soulmates" he said knowingly.

"Miss Johnson would you like to tell me why your wings are not out?" I shook my head.

"No thank you" I grew my wings which were twice my size. Andrew smiled and stepped back making space for me. I mouthed a thank you he just nodded.

"Now students, we have a guest today the king himself. Behave" she warned then smiled as my father stepped out.

"Good afternoon students. It's a pleasure to be here infront of all you aspiring young warriors. Oh it seems we have another royal in our midst" he eyes settled on me and I internally groaned.

"Catherine would you like to come out here so I may introduce you" all eyes landed on me they all held a questioning look. I stepped out nervously waking my way to my father.

"Students, this is my daughter Catherine Snowstorm" I looked up nervously then waved my hand.

"Hi" I whispered as my long curly hair covered my face. I was shocked by the sudden applause. I expected them to be all mean but they were smiling. Or its just because my father his here.

"There goes the slut. I bet she paid him to say that" I heard someone whisper. I looked up to she Tracy Steel. She's been down my throat since she found out I was half angel. I groaned internally. This will be intresting.

"Hey Catherine what's up?" Naomi asked running up to catch me. I just received my new schedule meaning I now have less classes meaning school ends early.

"I'm going to swimming" I repiled bluntly.

"Oh" her face fell at the tone of my voice. Now I feel bad.

"I'm sorry. It's just that I've had a really bad day for me and I'm not in the mood for anything" she nodded smiling again.

"Don't worry....I'll see you after school" I nodded while she ran off. I made my way to class which was partially empty. I went to the girls locker room. Once I changed into the schools swimsuit, I went back outside to join the class.

"Cat" I smiled seeing Matthew.

"Hi Matt. You good" I took this opportunity to study him a bit. Is it wrong to this he looks hot in boxers. I have a mate who cares for me. Instead of thinking of Matt is was thinking of Kyle.

"Students listen up" the teachers voice snapped me out of my daydreaming.

"The king has requested me to select the best swimmers. We need then to protect the waters surrounding the supernatural world. I will be judging you based on speed, agility, strength and durability"

"Put your selves in groups of four" I gulped looking down at the Olympic sized pool. This is going to be fun.

"Catherine join our group" I smiled seeing Matthew with two other students in do not know.

"Hi" I whispered shyly.

"Oh my scales! Your hair what conditioner do you use? I'm Brooke by the way a Oracle" Whats a oracle.

"It's a creatues that can predict the distant or near by future. But it's sometimes hard to interpret the message" I nodded the turned to look at the boy who was staring at me intensely.

"That's Devon he doesn't talk much" Brooke whispered in my ear I nodded.

"Okay students , when I call your name your group should step up" seems simple enough.

"Waverly" three guys jumped into the pool while the girl took her time crawling in.

"Set. Go!" And there off. The girl moved quickly gliding through the water gracefully. Her green tail shimmered making her look more.....majesty. She was about to touch the flag when Waverly I think touched it first.

She turned back looking determined to beat her opponent. The other two guys where fairly close. They were neck and neck until she just swam past him winning. Wow!

"Good job Daphne" the girl nodded pulling her self out of the water. The guys did the same.

"Go to the bleachers and wait until I call it. Next is Felix" two girl and two guys jumped into the pool preparing themselves for the race.

"Set. Go!" I was shocked to see the tallest guy racing ahead beside him was a nymph who seemed to be enjoying her self. He's was in fount of the four of them until she just passed him out. Her wings creating a rippled effect.

"You bitch! You cheated"

"Accept defeat Felix and stop being such a jerk about it" as the nymph stepped out of the water her clothes appeared and she went to the bleachers.

"Felix see me after class. Next is Johnson" I paled upon hearing my name.

"Relax Cat your the best swimmer I know" Matthew encouraged. I took a deep breath before jumping into the pool. I transformed as my feet touched the water.

"Your tail is so beautiful. It looks just like the royals"

"I get that alot" I said focusing on the flag at the other end of the pool.

"Set. Go" it was all a blur. My tail was working on its own. I was in my own little world. I swear the water around me had a silver glint to it. I looked beside me and saw Brooke giving me at thumbs up.

I pushed forward snatching the flag. I don't know why but I jumped out of the water instantly. I felt like something was off but before I could look around I dropped back in.

Everyone was infront of me. So I swam harder like never before. First I passed out Devon then Matthew and lastly Brooke. Once I hit the finish line I gasped. It felt like the air was being sucked out of me. In the corner of my eyes I could see a Shadow watching me. It mouthed well done and disappered.

"Catherine you can come out of the pool now" I blinked a few times then turned to Brooke.

"Could you help me up" she nodded. The rest of the class went by quickly right now we're were listening to who stays and does swimming.

"Felix, Daphne, Catherine, Brooke, Matthew, Waverly, January, June " two nymphs who seemed like twins high fived each other.

"Quinn, Crystal, Kingston and Alice" I did it! Yes in your face suckers.

"All those whose names were called please meet me back here for the next class. Your dismissed" I went to the girls locker room with a smile on my face. I made it.
