Nathaniel's POV:

I'm back at the Palace of Hell. The next morning after I met Gray, the day King William talked to us, Kate and I left to the airport. She never talked to me or even gave me a single glance. Her eyes were red the whole time and sometimes I would see a couple of tears falling. Her parents didn't deserve her shedding a single tear for them, but I couldn't say anything since I hurt her just as much.

The only time we talked, or actually I did the whole talking, was in the airport that is at the Island before parting ways. I promised her I would be the one marrying her and I wouldn't let her go that easily. I also apologised again and promised to make it up for her.

After heading to the palace, I spent the whole day waiting for his majesty to give me some of his 'precious' time so that I could talk to him, but his schedule was tight according to Derek.

Today I got to know from Derek that he has some free time in the afternoon, so I'm going to talk to him then. 

"Your highness, Ms. Winslet has requested your presence. She's waiting for you in the drawing room" I nodded. 

As I discovered, Eleanor Winslet, is my new arranged wife. Her dad and the king have a lot of business going on between them in the country. So I assume that me marrying her, would benefit whatever business they have between each other.  

"Hey babe" she greeted as I entered the room. Now she definitely looks like she's using me, I can't believe I ever thought of Kate being like that. I really did mess up big time with her, I need to work hard on getting her forgiveness.

Eleanor might have the body and the looks, but no one beats Kate in my eyes "Ms. Winslet, what can I help you with?" I said formally and she pouted "Why the formalities when we are getting married soon?"

"Look, you seem like a great girl" lies "but we're not getting married"

"Why not, but I love you?" She whined and couldn't help but I scoff "How can you love me when you just met me seconds ago?"

"No, I've known you ever since I was young, we even went to the same school. I loved you ever since then, but you never noticed me. When I found out that my dad arranged my marriage to you, I only accepted it because it was you" I was shocked, I don't even remember her.

"Still we can't marry each other" 

Her expression turned from sad to angry "Is it because of the girl you were arranged to first? Are you in love with her?"

"I am not in love with her, but yes it's because of her. I am going to marry her" she was boiling now "If I can't have you, then no one can. Mark my words Nathaniel" she threatened and left the room.

I scoffed. Empty threats, she can't do anything to Kate. No one can approach us because of the excessive security so I don't have to worry.

"I see you've met you new arranged wife, that's good. You asked for me Nathaniel?" my dad interrupted me from my thoughts. I turned to him and nodded.

"I wanted to talk to you about the sudden change of plans. I know you changed my marriage because you fought with King William, but I don't agree with it. Don't you think you should fix things with the King because it would benefit you more if I marry the princess rather than marry the Winslet heir? I mean merging the two sides of the Island would be a great benefit and a huge accomplishment for us. You do know that we have been trying to do that for the past decade and now is our chance" he thought of it for a while then nodded

"Why do you care though? I though you didn't want to get married and that's why you ran away?" he looked at me suspiciously 

"Well, I don't agree to getting married either way, but since I don't have a choice, the least I could do is choose my marriage. I had a lot of time to think the past month and I accepted the fact that I am going to end up as a king so choosing Princess Kate would benefit me as a King more than Ms. Winslet" I shrugged

"You're right, I'll fix things with the king and cancel the arrangements I made with Mr. Winslet. After things are official, I'm going to need you to take the Princess to buy the rings so we could give the press some hints. A while after that, we would give an official statement confirming things" I nodded calmly even though I was dancing from happiness on the inside. 

I couldn't show it to him because he would then start thinking that I like Kate and that she might be my weakness. Though I do actually like her and she really is my only weakness, yet no one can know or they would use it against me. 

Katherine's POV:

"Your highness, his majesty has requested your presence in his office" I nodded and followed Barry out of my room. 

Once I reached to my father's office, I knocked on the door and as soon as I heard a rough 'come in', I went inside. 

"You asked for my presence?" Father nodded.

"King Benjamin and I talked, and sorted out of the differences we had. So now you are marrying Prince Nathaniel again. At the end of this week, you and the Prince are going out together to buy the rings. We need to hint to the press that the both of you are together, a while later we will confirm the news for them. Also, the wedding is at the end of the month" I nodded, it's not like I have a saying in things.

"Why are you not objecting, or did you fall in love with him?" Father asked suspiciously 

"Me being quiet doesn't mean that I'm with your plans, I am just accepting things calmly since I have no other choice but to follow. And how can I fall for him when this whole thing is arranged. You need money and power so you created this arrangement, and now, I have no other choice but to go with it"

My father just smirked "Glad to know we're on the same page" I just shook my head, he will never get it.

"Excuse me your majesty" I slightly bowed and left back to my room.

I bet this had to do with Nate, I remember when he told me that he would be the one marrying me before we parted ways in the airport. I admit I was and still am mad at him, but still deep inside, I want to marry him and not the other guy they arranged me to. 

I have a feeling deep inside of me that I won't regret marrying him. He might be afraid of commitment and opening up his heart, but I bet I can change him.

I snapped out of my thoughts hearing the sound of my phone. I reached to it and found a message from Nate. 

Nate: You probably got the news by now, I told you I won't give up on us. And as for your forgiveness, I'm still working on it. I just needed you to know all of that.

I knew it was him!

Kate: So this was all your doing?

Nate: Yup. I miss you by the way. I got used to sleeping next to you so much that now if I don't feel your warmth next to me, I can't sleep. Can't wait to get married to you, see you next week my Queen.

I really did get used to sleeping next to him as well, but I shall not admit that to him.

Kate: Seriously, my Queen? What's with the nicknames now?

Nate: I confess to you that I miss you and that's all you got, what's wrong with you woman? And yes my Queen, you really are going to be my Queen when we get married, so why wait ;)

I laughed. I probably bruised his ego now. 

Kate: I miss you too my king, sweet dreams rich snob ☺

One 'I miss you' shan't hurt, it's not like I'm confessing my undying love for him. I just hope I'm making the right choice by being with him.

"Sweetie, may I have a word with you?" my mother asked from the other side of the door. Did she just call me sweetie?

I sat up straight on the bed "Sure mum, come in" she walked into the bedroom and took a seat next to me

"I wanted to apologise for my behaviour" she said while keeping her head slightly down as if she was embarrassed

"What are you talking about mum?" I asked confused  

"You know, after getting married to your father, I spent the whole time focused on my being the perfect Queen. When I had you kids, I still kept my focus on my work and in the meanwhile ended up forgetting that I had to be the perfect mother for you guys as well"

"Oh mum...." I felt tears building up in my eyes.

"I'm sorry it took me seeing you unhappy and running away to realise that. I promise from now on I'm going to make more time for you guys and make up for the past" her eyes were teary as well but she had a bright smile

I wanted to hug her but she stopped me to say something else "I'm sorry for forcing you into this arranged marriage. I want to help you out of it but there's nothing I can do about this one" I nodded smiling "It's okay, I'll marry the Prince"

"I love you mum"

"I love you too my little princess"

I hugged her tightly and fell asleep in her arms that night like a child.

Unknown POV:

How the hell did the Kings sort this out and get the wedding back on? When they fought, they seemed as if they wanted to kill each other and now it's as if nothing ever happened. Luck may be on their side but that won't stop me.

She might have won this round but I shan't let her win the next one. I won't let her take away from me the only thing I've ever wanted.

This wedding shan't happen, one way or another.

Plan B it is.
