I shook my head. This can't be happening!

How? When? Why?

How does it happened?

Why? Why my sister?

"Tsk!" I let out a deep sigh. I step down my bed and walk back and fort while biting my nail.

"Care to share what's going on Niel?" I look at Nath.

I let out a deep sigh again, then went back to my bed and sit.

I stared to my twin who is also looking at me curiously. My head start thinking of when did my twin attend a party where there is a possibility that the king also attend.

But my twin never attend a party. I am the one who disguised as her to attend those party. So how the king meet my sister?

I lay down, slamming my body in the bed and stares at the ceiling.

This is frustrating!

Everything went out of my control. Everything change from what I know and I don't have any back up plan for it. I never expect this to happened. I based all my plan on how the selection was. I never think that it might change.

Everything change, just like today. This is our second week in the palace. In the past queen selection, in second week, the queen dowager or the queen great dowager will choose the lucky ladies who will advance to the second stage of the selection. Then, those ladies who is  not lucky enough to be choosen will go back to their family with gold and land title. Those things serve as a gift from the royal family.

But two days ago, a decree came out from the chamber of the great queen dowager stating that every ladies will take part of the final selection. Meaning, there will be no first, second and third stage at all, only last stage.

It bothers me a lot. I never plan nor imagine that I will take part of the last process. I was messing these past days on all the lessons we took. I make sure that I  left a bad impression to our mentor. That my name will be the first in list of ladies that will go home with golds and land title.

But this happened. Not to mention that the palace open its gate for our family. They allowed them to enter the palace to visit us rather than sending us home. That is the reason why Nath, Jerah and my mother is here. What worst is, my mother is with the queen dowager as of the moment. For what reason? I don't know and that what bothers me the most.

I sit up and cross my legs on the bed. I look at my twin.

"Staring is rude Niel." Nath said.

"Did you ever attend a party?" I asked her making Jerah stop eating and curiously look at me.

Nath on the other hand, raised his right eyebrow and look at me as if something weird came out my head.

"Did you ever missed any party?" Nath asked me back.

"No."

"Then that answer your question."

I bite my lips. I bow my head and play my fingers. This is frustrating. How come did the king like my sister?

"What's going on Niel?" I lift up my head and look at my sisters. She is looking at me seriously.

"Nath, the king like you." I answer in a low voice.

Jerah suddenly laugh hard while my twin eyes went big then laugh out loud.

I let out a deep sigh. I know what I said is absurbed. I should not believed those word. I should not be bother about it. But still, why does the king said that?

Those word is a serious matter when it came from the kings mouth. But... arrrgghhh! I hate it.

I look at my sibling who are still laughing then I went back lying in my bed. I hate this.

"Young lady." I immediately sit up as I heard Lanie's voice.

"What is it?" I asked.

"I got a news that the king is on his way here."

"What?"

I got nervous. My brain cells is going wild.

"Young lady, you need to fixed yourself." Lanie said.

"Go out and wait for the king. I fixed myself with the help of Jerah." I said. My voice is shaking, same with my whole body.

"But your brother.." Lanie look at my twin.

"He'll stay. We shared the same room since birth. Nothing to worry about it."

Lanie was hesitating to leave so I stand up and push him out of the room. I know what she is worrying.  Well, she knew that Nath is Niel. I need to fix myself, change clothes and everything, then my twin will stay inside the room. What I said to her is real. We share the same room ever since, so it doesn't really matter.

The moment I close the door I run towards Nath.

"What am I gonna do? Ahhhmm... You should leave. No...stay...ahmmm...."

"NIEL, RELAX. WHAT ARE YOU WORRYING ABOUT?" Naty hissed at me in a very low voice. She held my shoulder tight.

"The king like you." I said.

"And so?"

"Nath, the king like you. Can't you understand it?"

"I undestand it. And I really don't know what are you worrying about? He liked me but he know that I am you."

"That's not the point. You should not meet the king. We should not meet him together."

"Why?"

"Why? Seriously Nath, why?"

"Look Niel. If you are worried about we might got caught if we meet him together, that's not gonna happen."

Nath suddenly pull me in front of the mirror.

"Look at me and look at yourself. We may look the same but you are more femine than me. No one will think that we switched. That I am you and you are me."

"But...."

"No more but Niel. It will be happed soon as you are going to join the last part of selection. Let's get it done today. Let's meet the king together."

"I'm scared Nath." I hugged my twin. I'm so nervous and I on verge of crying. I'm scared and there is a lot of what if in my head.

"No one will know of who is who, even the king. Trust me."

Nath pushed me away to her. She smile at me and top my shoulder.

"Fixed yourself Niel. Make sure you are beautiful that the king will never look to other lady. We will meet him together."

"Okay." I pouted.

"And Niel. It is you that he like not me."

Then Nath turned his back to me and went to the other room leaving Jerah with me.

It is me that the king like. What does it mean?

Sorry for the long wait. I got busy with my work. I got a split off so I don't have enough time to write an update.

Please bear with my grammatical errors and typos. As I said, English is not my first language but I'll try improve myself.

So... the twin will meet the king together.. any thoughts about it?
