All of us remain silent as we wait for the four of them reach in front. We also bow our heads as a sign of respect and also following the royal rules.

The moment they sitted, we turn to them and say our greetings in unison.

"So, what is the commotion all about?" The queen dowager asked sgain after they let us sit.

"Your highness. I just want to asked that lady if the rumor is true. I know you arw aware of the rumor that is circulating in the palace and I want to confirm it to her."

I mentally rolled my eyes. Megan way of speaking is far diffirent from a while ago. It sounds like she is such a good lady who can't even kill a mosquito. If there is a course or masteral degree for faking everything, Megan will be the first in class. She is good at it.

"And why is that?" The queen dowager asked.

"So that I can protect her. I'm so worried that the rumor might ruined her name."

Concern my ass. If I know you are furious because the king never visit you. All your expectation is not happening and it disappoint you a lot.

"Do you think you have the right to confirm the rumor?" Princess Jam asked.

Megan did not answer. She just bow her head and became silent.

The great queen dowager shook her head while princess Bai stand up.

"We understand your concern Megan. Somehow, what you said is truth. Rumors can destroy anyone. But remember this, if the rumors has something to do with the king, it's none of your business. The king can talk to anyone, can visit anyone and be with anyone. If he want to be with a girl then so be it. And if the rumor is about what I mention about, bear in mind that it is real and not just a baseless rumor."

Megan peak a look at me. I want to laugh to his expression. She is mad. Maybe, if this four lady are not here, she will gone balistic.

Princess Bai speak again. "This is for everyone. I know my mother already said this, but I will repeat it. Your status will never be a ticket for you to get in the position. It will always the queen dowager and the great queen dowaget decision. The king might participate in the last part of selection but it doesn't mean that his opinion will be prioritize but will still consider. Public opinion will also take its part but will not be a big impact. It will always depend on what kind of person you are. Your personality, your intelligence and your up bringing will give impact on this. Also, we will not give any shit to your fake attitude. You can never deceive us, specially me. So don't play your game here."

"We understand your highness." We all answer in unison.

Princess Bai is well known by being a prank and straigh forward person. Palace my restrict her mouth but she can always look for a way to speak what she want without breaking the rules for them. Many people admire princess Bai. She maybe prank but she is a good princess.

Same with princess Jam. She is not as frank as his sister but she will always show who she is in front of everyone. If she mad at you, she will show it without hesitation.

"Sharon and Lanie, bring Nath back to his chamber. I will ask a royal physician to check her. She might be shocked of what happened." Princess Jam said after princess Bai went back to his seat.

"I'm fine you highness. I'm not shock at all." I answer.

"We insist Nath. Besides, we are not in mood to continue what is scheduled today. Go back to your room and wait for the physician." Princess Jam said.

"I understand." I'm against of what they want but I don't have a choice.

"All of you, go back to you room and take a rest. We will continue tomorrow." Princess Bai said then he help the great queen dowager ro stand up and they left the hall.

I let out a deep sigh and throw a stone in the pond. It's 5 in the after and I'm in front on the big pond full of lotus. With me is Sharon, Lanie and four royal palace.

What happened in the hall this morning  bothers me a lot. Honestly, I really don't take a shit of what Megan will do. I'm used of  her attitude and I just ignore it. But, today and for the next days, I know it will be stressful to me. Megan's target is me and she will never stop bothering me.

I never plan to stand out in the crowd. But it was ruined by the king. This selection process is like a battle in arena. Those who take part of the selection, specially those who really have an ambition to be a queeen, will do everything to attain it. And when I said everything, it mean the worst among the worst.

I let a deep sigh again. This stressing me a lot. Now that I drawn all their attention, thanks to the king, I'm afraid of what will happen next. I'm afraid for the safety of my family. Luckily my mom is not working anymore to Megan's family, but still, they can harm them in many ways.

I throw another rock in the pond.

"If fish are living in that pond, I think you kill them all already."

I immediately turn behind be. The king is standing there, with a seriously look.

"Your majesty." I slightly bend down my knees and bow my head.

"I heard what happened. Are you okay?" He raised his hand to dismissed all the people behind us.

"I'm still throwing a rock here, so I'm fine." I answered then I turn my back to him.

"Your mad." He said. He stand beside me and get the rocks on my hand and throw it all in the pond. Then he turn to me and grab my hand. He pull a handkerchief from his pocket and wipe the dirt in my hand.

"I'm stressed but I'm not mad." I pull back my hand from his but he held it tightly. I look at him but he is seriously wiping my hand.

"I know. It's all over your face."

"You know but you are still here."

He immediately stopped wiping my hand and look at me. "What do you mean?"

"Do I need to elaborate it?" I pulled back my hand and this time I made it.

"Yes."

I inhale and let a out a heavy breath before I speak. "I don't want to stand out. I don't want everyone to notice me or to know who I am. I know where I should stand, neither I don't have any ambition to be part of your family nor to be your queen. All I want is a better life for my family. A peaceful life for them."

"So?"

"Stop bothering me your majesty."

"Why should I?"

"I already said it."

"I don't understand."

I sigh. "Megan like you. She is expecting to be your queen. And what you are doing is against of what she expecting."

"Should I follow her expectation?"

"No. What I mean is, what you are doing will put me in danger. You know how the game in this event is."

"I'm ready to protect you Nath. That's why I assign some of my palace guard to protect you."

"I don't need them." I point the palace guards that still standing a meters away from us. "You can protect me by leaving me alone."

"But I can't do that."

"Why is that?"

"Because I like you."
