MAX'S POV

"Niel."

I immediately run towards them. All people inside also run to them as soon as they heard Archie scream.

"What happened?" I left Niel body. His sent sneak in to my nose, making all my body cell alive.

"You happened brother." Archie hissed at me.

"What did I do?" I curiously asked.

"I'll smacked the hell out of you later so that you will know what you do. Now let's bring your wife to the hospital you dimwit."

I just glared to Archie for a while before a properly lift Niel. We went straight to the car outside and ordered my driver to drive us to the nearest hospital.

"Why are your here brother?" Archie asked me the moment the car move.

"To see him." I  answered. My gaze remain to Niel face. He looked so tired. I missed his glow when he was pregnant with our twin. Maybe the two is giving him a hard time that's why he looked like this. Well, Ryu is a good boy, but Reigh is not. One Reigh is equivalent to then kids. That naughty princess of mine. Tsk.

"So that is the reason why there are less people in the hall." Archie said.

"They are my maid and guards in disguised."

"Why don't you asked all the palace maid and royal guards to disguised." Archie said sarcastically. "You scared Niel."

I let out a deep sigh. "I just want to see him up closed."

"I don't have any word to say brother.  Both of you is hard to understand."

Archie shook his head and let out a deep sigh. He look at Niel for a while then shift his gaze outside the car.

I caress Niel's face.

5 years.

It's been five year since I let him go away and escape.

FLASHBACK

I open my eyes when I heard the door close. I look at the empty space beside me and sadly smile.

I woke up and went out the room. Louis immediately come near and put a robe on me.

"I banged him hard. He is limping." Louis said while fixing my robe.

"I don't want to but I don't have a choice."

"But he still left."

"Yeah."

"What your plan now?" Louis asked.

I start to walk to follow Niel. I want to be with him until he reach the gate.

"I let him go today. I can't protect him."

"I order guards that making rounds to hide whe  they saw Niel."

I just nodded my head. I slow my  walking pace as soon as my love back.

It hurt me. The pain is worse than the day I know he can't remember at all.

15 years. For 15 years, I go with the flow. Royal father told me that it is the best for us. Niel will be in danger if I stick with him.

I sit in the throne with all the hope that one day, I can protect him with my everything. I thought that the day Niel step in the palace is the day that I am waiting for.

But,no. I'm wrong.

I am a king, but I can't protect the person I love the most. I still need to go with the flow. With the flow that that jerk made.

"Any update with that poison?" I asked Louis in whispered.

"It will be out in the black market next week. The last pace is done and they are ready to market it. The effect got worst. Memory loss and hallucination.

"Informed everyone." I stop my step when Niel reached the gate. When he turned around I grab Louis arm and hide in the tree.

"He will not notice us. We are in the dark place, Max." Louis said.

I came out from hiding and stare at Niel. I let my tears run down my cheeks. For the second time, I let him go away from me. Same reason, I can't protect him.

"Kros." I called my most trusted figther and royal guard who is hiding somewhere in the dark.

"Your Majesty." I turn around as I heard his voice in my back.

"Keep him safe until he reached home. Keep his family safe. Be with them."

"How about you, Your Majesty?" Kros asked.

"I'm with him." Louis butt in. "I keep him safe."

"Nathan is with them." Kros said.

"Kros, he can't fight. He is Nath now not Nathan. We fully truth Niel safety to him.

"I understand. I will entrust the king's safety to you Duke Louis."

"Can I come with Kros?" Archie came out from nowhere. He smile cheekily at me and stand beside Kros. He is wearing his favorite pajama.

Archie is my brother. He is one of the son of my father to Royal Consort Marlene. He is a month older than Hayes.

"Why are you still awake?" I asked him. He is as naughty as Hayes and only Kros can control him.

"It's too hot." Archie answer.

"Is the aircon in your room broke again Prince Archie?" Kros asked.

"Maybe. I don't know."

"I'll asked the technician to check on it again." Kros said.

"I don't care about that aircon." Archie said then he look at me. "You are sending Kros for a mission. Can I come?"

"I'm going to protect Mr. Niel, Prince Archie. I can't protect you also if you come." Kros said.

"I can protect myself Kros. Focus to my brother lover."

"But...."

"Let him come Kros. Guiding someone alone is kinda boring." I answered giving Kros a teasing smile.

"It settled then. Good night everyone." Archie said and walked away to us. I just shook my head.

Why I have weird siblings?

The next day, I was woke up by Kros and Jerah.

Jerah have a teary eye while looking at me. I got scared. I thought something happened to Niel because of Jerah expression.

"We're leaving." Jerah said, wipping her tears away.

"To where?" I asked trying to hide the pain I feel.

"To Idris. What exactly happened? Why my brother come home last night crying?"

"It's a long story." I answered her.

"I don't want to leave, Your Majesty. Can you please talk to my brother? I don't to go to Idris."

I smile at her. I know why she don't want to leave. It has something to do with my brother Hayes.

"Go with your family. Take care of your brothwr for me. Okay?"

"But..."

I cut her word. "Prince Hayes will remain single until you comeback. His wife will be you but promise me you will take care of  Niel."

"Okay fine. Actually I already packed my things. I will contact from time to time."

I laugh of Jerah's answer. She is really head over heels with my brother.

"Kros will come will protect you. Prince Archie and Prince Boun will also be around to keep you safe. I'll be the one who'll you from time to time. Just contact me something important happened."

"Copy paste Your Majesty."

I was one of the guard in the entrance of the city when Niel and his family left. I know they wore diaguised because Jerah told me. I say my silent goodbye to their parents.

When they settled in the Idris, I give them enough money to start living. I bought the land of his father with the help of someone. I assigned guards to protect them. I make sure that I'll got all the update on Niel, not missing a single one.  That is the only thing I can do to him, as if the moment.

End of flashback

I can't protect him that time, that's why, I let him go.

But now that the twin is coming into age, I'll protect them with my everything. Who dare to harm them will pay with their life. No one can touch them, not even the tips of their hair.

I look again to Niel. I kissed his lips and smile.

"Welcome back to Cardial, my love, my only queen, my Niel."
