Chapter 14

My screams became louder, watching as the creature in front of me stared me down. My nerves shook violently, as did my body. The sets of footsteps from the skeletons became louder then they had ever been, coming closer to me every passing second. The creature began to vanish, like smoke spreading around the room. My breath was quickly escaping me, the shock making it hard for me to even breathe. I grabbed a nearby weapon from the side table, the weapon being a simple wooden cane. I felt a little safer just holding it in my hands. I began to muster up my strength, throwing the cane at the creature. It finally faded, causing the cane to hit Papyrus in the head as he bounded in the room. I watched as the monster rubbed his skull for the impact, my breathes hitched and quickened by my experience.

" Big Pup! What happened? " I began to sob slightly, my body shocked and frozen in time like I was made of ice. About to come over to me, Sans takes a small step forward. My cries had obviously caught the skeletons off guard, taking note that Sans was only half dressed and his rib cage on show fro all to see. I watched as the shorter skeleton reached down, picking up a piece of black cloth up from the floor. He tuts and closes his sockets for a mere moment before turning to e and smiling brightly. His smile wasn't the same as before, worrying me slightly. Did he know the creature? That was the vibe I got from him. I felt like he was hiding this even from his own brother, placing the cloth in his pocket quickly to avoid being seen. There was defiantly more to this monster then he let on, stuff I knew I would find out in die time. I kept my eyes on Sans as he made his way over to me, placing a hand on my shoulder comfortingly. He didn't look me in the eyes, just narrowed his brow and looked ahead into the black void of night just beyond the glass.

" Head to bed kiddo, will bring ya food up when it arrives "  I nodded once more, my hair swaying gently as I did. I didn't look back, wanting to be alone fro a while in my room. I begin to ascend to the top of the stairs, hearing voices behind me.

" What is it Sans? "

" Nothin' bro " I indeed hoped that it would be nothing, crawling tight under the overs of my bed for protection as tears soaked the sheets. Nothing is ever easy is it?
