Shu had no idea where he was going but he didn't care. He was going to run for it. Run away.  But he saw the Shirosagi carriage arrive. So just ran and kept running.

Valt decided he wanted to take a walk through the forest."Okay." Daigo asked. "Bring some berries back for dinner and remember we have to go get ryota!" He said. "Yes I won't take long!" Valt said.
Elsewhere
Shu sat at the pond in the forest. He played with the water with his fingers. His eyes were puffy red from crying. He took some water and washed his face and started singing a song his mother sang to him as a baby.

Remember me...though I have to say goodbye

Shu started as tears ran down his cheeks.
Close by
Valt was picking berries when he heard singing nearby. He followed the voice to the pond and saw a white haired boy singing near the pond. The song was familiar  to him so he sang along quietly.

Remember me though have to travel  far remember me

Valt sees him crying and comes out of hiding. "Excuse me?" Shu jumped and wiped his eyes. "Sorry! I didn't mean to scare you! I just wanted to know if you were okay." Valt said. "Yeah I'm okay." Shu said cleaning his face again. Valt looked a shu in his fancy outfit then he knew.
"You work for the prince don't you!?" He asked.
Shu went along with it. "Yeah well I used too." He said. "What? You get fired?" Shu shakes his head. "No I left and I am NOT going going a back." He said. "Why not?" Valt asked. "I'm just not!" Shu said. "Sorry I yelled I'm just angry." Valt nodded."Its okay." There was an awkward silence. "You sing well...." Valt said. "Oh thanks....my mother used to sing me that song." He said." Mine too." Valt answered. "Heh..." Shu laughed. "Do you wanna see something cool?" Valt asked. Shu shrugged then nodded. Valt took him to the tallest tree in the whole forest. "Are you sure this is safe?" Shu asked. "I've done this a million times." Valt reassured
Him as they climbed he tree. They climbed to the very top an stopped. Shu and valt could see the whole kingdom. Shu gasped. "Wow it's beautiful." He said. "I come here all the time to think." Valt said. "It's my place to be alone and all." He said. " I wish I had a place to really be alone." Shu said." You don't?" Valt said. Shu shook his head. Valt smiled. "Well then it can be OUR place to be alone." He said. Shu blushed and smiled. "Thanks uuuuuh..." He began. "Valt. Valt aoi." He said. "Uh....Ken." shu says back. He smiles. They stay there talking for hours about stuff.
"And that is why you should never pick a fight with a squirrel." Valt finished shu laughed a his story. "You are funny." Shu said. He stared at valt. 'Hes perfect.' Shu sighed. Valt looked at shu. "I want you to stay in the kingdom." He said. "Why?" Shu asked. "So I can see you again." Valt smiled. Shu blushed and nodded. " Here why don't you go back and at nine o'clock tonight we can.....Jan out again." Valt smiled. Sh u nodded."I'd like that very much." Shu and Valt get down from the tree. Shu smiles. "See ya!" He said. Valt nods and they go they're separate ways.....for now.
