Royal Rumble Sunday

The day had finally come! Royal Rumble Sunday! The feeling was everywhere. Everyone was anxious to see who made it in, and what number they drew. That morning at the hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Brandon got up and started his usual morning routine. After he got ready, he took a selfie and posted it on his insta with the caption.

Soon after, his phone started buzzing, it was Ashley.

Brandon: Morning Babe!

Ashley: Morning! Had a good sleep?

Brandon: Yes indeed!

Ashley: I do believe you know what tonight is right?

Brandon: Well in the words of the rattlesnake himself. "Oh Hell Yeah!" I've been waiting for this night to come around. This is one of my favorite pay per views on the calendar. Just picture it, January 29, m Philadelphia Pennsylvania, a sold out Target Center, the Royal Rumble, and everyone there chanting one thing. "Let's Go Brandon POWR DOWN!!" As I toss out the last man to win the rumble match and.....

Ashley: Alright don't get too cocky now. Let's just take it step by step and see where we end up, sound good?

Brandon: Yeah, that sounds good.

So with that the two said their goodbyes, and hung up to go eat breakfast at IHOP. When they were done, they took one of their signature sightseeing tours around Philly to see what was up. A few miles later, the found a CrossFit gym, and decided it would be best to do some pre rumble workouts to prepare for the big night. After their workout they headed over to the arena to get prepared. When they arrived, Brandon got out of the car and just took some time to stand, look around the arena, take deep breaths and get his mind right before the big match. Ashley slowly walked up beside him and leaned into his shoulder.

Ashley: Pre Pay Per View jitters?

Brandon: Yeah... How did y-

Ashley: We have been together for basically a year right? Besides I've seen you do stuff like this before big matches anyway so t doesn't really bother me anymore.

She looked up at him and smiled.

Ashley: Just can't wait to see you in that ring. It's been too long.

Brandon: Well...

He looked down at her returning the smile.

Brandon: You won't have to wait much longer.

Ashley giggled and kissed him as he returned the favor and the two started walking towards the backstage area.

Once they got there, they dropped their stuff off at their locker room, and headed to catering to catch-up with Leah and Nattie, who texted them to meet up there. Once they arrived, they got something to eat and sat down to chat with the two.

Nattie: Hey guys!

Brandon: Hey Nattie! What's up!

Leah: You guys ready for tonight?!

Ashley/Brandon: Hell Yeah!

Nattie: That's what I thought you'd say. Good luck!
She said with a smile and a hug.
A few minutes later it was for the pay per view to begin. As the preshow was rapping up the lights went out to signal the start of the intro sequence as the crowd erupted. After the video package for the night's matches ended the official intro sounded over the speakers.

Cinematic voice: And now, Vudu, and KFC present. The Royal Rumble!

As soon as he finished that sentence, fireworks began going of on the stage to hype up the crowd. When they were finished, the crowd went wild as they knew tonight was gonna be good.

Cole: There is nothing else like it. The feeling, The emotion. This is the night where a superstar's career can be altered forever. This is the Royal Rumble. Hi again everyone Michael Cole along side the "Savior Of Misbehavior", and joining us for this very special night. An honor to have Jerry "The King" Lawler with us on commentary.

Jerry: Well it's an honor to be here guys! You know, the royal rumble is one of my favorite pay per views on the calendar, simply because of one word, unpredictability. You don't know what's gonna happen, who's gonna show up in the main royal rumble, or this new rumble we have here tonight, its gonna be awesome!

Graves: And of course what King was referring to was the first ever all women's royal rumble later on here tonight, everyone's buzzing about that, but boys we got a lot of action to get to tonight so what do ya say we get started right now.

Cole: I couldn't agree more!

As soon as he finished, The Deleters of worlds' theme song played as the Raw Tag Team Champions made their way to the ring to defend against The Revival. Later in the match, Bray and Matt set up for the slingshot into the Twist of Fate which connected and secured the victory and a successful title defense.
While the other matches on the card were talking place, Brandon sat in his locker room trying to shake of the problems he had been going through in the fast month. Were him and Becky still cool? Does Ashley really still love him after what she found out he did to her best friend's relationship with Bálor? Is there still time to fix said relationship?
Before he could answer any of those questions, the door creaked open and he saw a strand of orange hair peak out from the door.

Becky: Hey. You alright?

Brandon sighed and looked up.

Brandon: Yeah, I guess...

Becky: Ash's worried about ya. She sent me hear to check on ya.

Brandon looked back down and put his head in his hands. Becky entered the locker room and sat down next to him.

Becky: Hey, don't worry about everything else. Tonight is your night!

Brandon: Yeah but... y-you don't understand Becks...

He sniffed.

Brandon: Mostly everything I've ever done in the WWE outside of the ring has destroyed my reputation as a person. I mean hell I single-handedly ended your relationship with Bálor which caused you to take out my shoulder, completely reasonable by the way, but yeah...

Becky shushed him, and smiled

Becky: Don't worry about that.

Just then, Finn himself walked in, and the two Irish lovebirds shared a kiss.

Brandon: Wait... No way.

Becky: Surprise!

Finn: What's the crack BP!

Brandon: Finn I am sooo sorry for interfering with you guys' relationship. I-I didn't know what I was thinking...

Finn: Ahh. No sweat. I heard you guys had been going through a lot, so I didn't want to add any more drama. Not my style you know.

Becky: So... We cool now?

Brandon: Yeah! Absolutely!

Finn: Of course!

Finn held up the 2 sweet symbol to which Brandon and even Becky joined in.

Becky: Well if that is the case, Don't you guys have a match to prepare for?

Finn: I Believe we do! Rumble Time?

He said looking at his new friend.

Brandon: Rumble Time!

They did the 2 Sweet hand gesture one more time before heading to the door. Before heading out though, Brandon stopped and walked back towards her.

Brandon: Hey... Thanks.

Becky: No problem.

She looked down in disappointment.

Becky: Something tells me we're probably not gonna be able to talk much anymore you know.

Brandon: Well, I'm always if ya need a friend to talk to!

She brought him in for a hug.

Becky: Thanks!

Finn: Oi! You ready to go BP?!

Brandon: I'm coming.

With that, he walked out the door and on his way to gorilla where the superstars that were in the rumble waited to enter. A few minutes later, Royal rumble match introductions began.

Hamilton: Ladies and gentlemen! It is now time for the Royal Rumble Match!

The crowd roared.

Hamilton: Now the rules are as follows. Two superstars will start in the ring. Every 2 minutes another superstar will enter. This will continue until all 30 superstars have entered the match. To be eliminated, you must be thrown over the top rope with both feet touching the floor. The last superstar remaining in the ring will be declared the winner, and will advance to the main event at WrestleMania!

After the rules were announced, entrant number one in Rusev made his way to the ring followed by entrant number to in Finn Bálor.
30 minutes later. Around entrance number 26, Becky and some of the other women's roster were watching as most of them knew who was coming up next.

As the clock rounded down, the entire audience counted down in anticipation and when the clock hit zero the crowd roared even louder as Brandon made his way to the ring. But he wasn't going to have it easy. At number 28, The Undertaker entered the rumble followed by Jeff Hardy at 29 and Sheamus at 30. Later in the match undertaker was looking to clothesline Brandon over the top rope, but Brandon pulled down the top rope as Undertaker flew over. Meanwhile Hardy was looking to hit a Swanton, but he was super-kicked out of the air by Powers as he threw him over and out. Now it was just him and sheamus.. or so everyone thought. Just then, Finn who was resting out side of the ring because he wasn't thrown over. He threw Sheamus out, and then Brandon and Finn had a stare down as they circled inside of the ring before Brandon pointed at the WrestleMania sign. A few hard hits later, Bálor was looking for the Coup de grace, but Powers found a way to reverse and hit a super-kick which gave him some time to breath, pump himself and the crowd up before hitting the Power Outage, and throwing Bálor over over the top and out as the bell rang.

Hamilton: He is your winner of the 2018 Men's Royal Rumble Match, Brandon Powers!

The crowd went ballistic. This was his first rumble, and he came out on top. Brandon got down on his knees let his mind adjust to what just happened.
As he was Finn rolled back in the ring to celebrate. He held up the two sweet to which Brandon completed it with his hand, before sharing a hug in the center of the ring. A few minutes later, Bálor got to his right side and raised his hand as Brandon pointed to the sign, and fireworks went off around the sign, over the ring, and on stage.
When they got backstage everyone applauded the two on a fantastic match. Later outside of gorilla, Brandon was walking down the hallway to catering when he felt someone come from behind and hug him tighter than anyone has before.

Ashley: Oh! My! God! That was freaking incredible!
Awesome match babe!

Brandon: Thanks Babe! Looks like those pre ppv jitters didn't really hinder me tonight!

Ashley: I'll say!! Hey, I gotta get ready for the 1st ever Women's Royal Rumble, you gonna chill at catering?

Brandon: Basically, good luck out there!

They shared one more hug before going their separate ways

Later on that night

Hamilton: Ladies and gentlemen! It is now time for The First Ever Women's Royal Rumble Match!

The crowd came alive because the anticipation was real!

Near the end of the night, it was Charlotte vs. Asuka which ended in Charlotte hitting the natural selection and throwing her over the top rope to win the rumble.

When she got to the hallway where they met last, Brandon was chilling on a crate. When he saw her, he jumped down and kissed her.

Brandon: Bravo! Bravo! Excellent job my queen!

Ashley: Why thank you my king! But enough about this king and queen thing. We won!

Brandon: Hell Yeah we did!

They shared one more hug before getting changed and heading back to the hotel
