Flashback,

Y/n slapped Chaeyoung. She kept looking down. While tears scroll down her face.

"How dare you sleep with him?" Y/n asked. She doesn't care when he sleeps with concubines, but she hates it when he purposely sleeps with the women who work for Y/n.

Y/n doesn't want the maids and court ladies that work for him to sleep with him. It makes her angry to see their faces if they have touched him.

And Chaeyoung, she was close to Y/n. It changed the way she looked at her.

"I am sorry, I didn't have any other choice. Your highness." She said,

"You had a choice, you could have d'ed. I would be proud of you if you had refused to sleep with him. Now I feel ashamed. I called you my friend."

"Please forgive me." She was crying, she didn't ask for this life. She was living happily, but Y/n pulled her back to this dark spot.

"You did it on purpose right? I have noticed you are a different person now. Before you used to be friendly to me but you have changed. " Y/n said. Chaeyoung loved her life before being assigned as Y/n's court lady. Y/n took her life from her that is why she changed. But still she never hated Y/n.

"No, your highness," She didn't want to sleep with Namjoon, she only agreed because she knew her saying no would have gotten her k'lled.

"You are my friend, I still consider you my friend. That is why I will not k'll you." Y/n said.

"Thank you, for having mercy on me." She doesn't want to live like this but she also doesn't want to.

"You will still get punished as a lesson to not repeat this mistake again." Y/n said.

Chaeyoung got punished, In Front of all the ladies that work for Y/n.

"I want you all to stay away from the king. Even if he wants to sleep with you, you must stay away. And refuse, d'e for me if you have too. Or else I would k'll."

After the punishment, Y/n was back to being normal with Chaeyoung. But then Y/n noticed her stomach. It has been months since that happened.

And she was hiding that she is pregnant. Y/n got really furious when she got to know about that. Chaeyoung didn't know what to do, so she just hid it. She was scared of Y/n.

She knows the baby will be taken away after the birth, so she thought she could hide it from her. And it was a disaster when Y/n got to know about it.

But Y/n didn't do anything, she told her to not work for her when she is pregnant. Namjoon does have children with few of his concubines, but none of them get any heritage or ranking.

Y/n doesn't even know where they are and even who they are. She just knows they exist. So she thought it would be the case with Chaeyoung's child.

She was proven wrong, because when Namjoon got to know. He wanted to provoke Y/n, so he announced that he will accept the child.

"Why are you doing that? You have never done that before?! Then why do you want to accept her child?" Y/n asked,

"She is your servant Y/n, which means her child is your property. I am just accepting your property. Indirectly, it's your child." He said, with a smirk. Knowing really well she is burning with anger.

"It's not my child! I don't want you to give him any rank or heritage or anything! I don't want to even see his face!" Y/n exclaimed.

"I have made my decision." Namjoon said.

"I hope the child is healthy, or else you would not accept him right?" She said, If the child is abnormal then he will not accept it.

She waited patiently. Until Chaeyoung gave birth. Y/n went to visit her with so many gifts.

Y/n smiled, "So good to see you and baby, healthy." She holds the child. Y/n went through pregnancy and miscarriages, and here she just gave birth to a perfectly healthy child. "I wanted a healthy child too, but I gave birth to stillborn."

Chaeyoung looked down. "You own me, Your highness. You own the child too."

"I didn't even accept the child I gave birth to, what makes you think I will accept your child?" Y/n asked. Y/n give the child to Chaeyoung. "But still, I own this child right? I own his life, and him."

"Yes your highness," She replied.

"Good, k'll him with your hands.." Y/n said. She looked at her in shock then quickly looked down.

"I can't do that." She said, She can't just k'll the child she just gave birth to.

"See how easy it is to say no, but you couldn't say no to him. If you had, we would not be in this place." Y/n exclaimed.

Chaeyoung got on her knees, "Please don't do that, k'll me instead or send him away. Far away from here. But don't k'll my child."

Chaeyoung was so worried for Y/n when she was giving birth and didn't wake up for 5 days. The only reason she went to Namjoon was for her. And here Y/n doing the opposite.

"Your child? You said I own him." Y/n said. "I want him de*th, before the King even sees it. You want to do it gently with your own hands or you want me to make someone do that?"

Chaeyoung knows there is no use of begging. No one can save her child. It has to d'e. She picked her child and looked at him sleeping peacefully.

She can't do that to him, a mother can't do that. But she also can see him get k'll in a worse way.

Chaeyoung strangled the child with her own hands. She started crying loudly, while Y/n was just watching. She wasn't feeling even a little bit of guilt.

Chaeyoung hugged the body of the child and started crying. They took the child from her and brought it near Y/n. They announced that he had passed away.

Y/n smiled and caressed the baby's face. "Poor little angel, d'ed in the hands of his own mother. He was not meant for this cruel world. Surely he would be in a better place."

She crossed her arms. It was announced that the kind was coming. He never came to check Y/n when she gave birth to Yesol for the second time.

He came to check Chaeyoung, because he was sure either she would be de*th or the child.

"Sorry, Yeobo. She failed to give birth to a healthy child. So he won't be able to claim your name." Y/n said.

He could control his chuckle, "I can see."

He put his hand on Y/n head, and patted her; he was so proud of her. She was doing exactly what he wanted.

Present day,

Y/n kept her head under the water. She was 17 when she did that. Namjoon provoked her. She couldn't understand that now, but she can now. He did it on purpose. Everything, he planned it that way, so Y/n would do bad things for him.

She took her head out of the water, she gasped and pulled her hair back. Namjoon will not k'll this child, she is sure he will not. He will wait for her to give birth before he does anything.

She is scared of Namjoon, if Y/n can make Chaeyoung k'll her own child. Namjoon will do worse if he gets proof that the child is not his. Or maybe he will not even wait for proof. And still k'll the child.

In the end Chaeyoung did sacrifice her life for Y/n, making Y/n more guilty.

Y/n get out of the bed, the maids dried her body. She looked at Yuri, "Yuri,"

"Yes, your highness." She answered while they dress her up.

"What if the king asks you to sleep with him?" She asked.

"Your highness I will refuse. I am your servant, it must follow your order and be loyal to you first." Yuri said, giving Y/n the type of answer she wanted.

"You can d'e if you refuse."

"My life belongs to you, I can sacrifice my life for you." She said, Y/n really like Yuri.

She informed Y/n that Taehyung wants to meet her.

"Really? He wants to see me?" Y/n asked. Maybe seeing Taehyung will distract her mind.
