"Congratulations Prince Davidson. This is my daughter, Dawn. You two will soon be married." My father pats Davidson on the back showing how proud he was over his victory.

I curtsied again, "Hello again Davidson." As he looked at me I noticed he was getting nervous. Aland quickly walked over to him to help."Your majesty, your highness. I am terribly sorry about this. Davidson is quite shy. It might take him some time to get used to this."

I remembered what Aland told me earlier about Davidson. I guess he wasn't exaggerating, "I understand. In the meantime, I hope we can get to know one another better." The King claps his hands, "How about having dinner with us tonight?"

Davidson looked at Aland not knowing what to say, so Aland answered for him. "Is it alright that I join you, your majesty? You see, we are old friends and he has never gone out of his kingdom before. So far I'm the only one that can keep him from running off."

"Very well. Please join us." Thankfully my father agreed. Aland bowed to the king, "Thank you, your majesty." Later that night. I was getting ready for dinner when my brother and sisters walked into my room.

"So, Are you nervous?" Maxwell asked. I was brushing my hair looking at him through the mirror, "A little." Ella was playing with my jewelry, "What's he like?" I stopped brushing and looked at Ella, "Well...he's a bit shy around new people..."

"How shy?" Maxwell asked wondering if he is faking it or not. "Barely speaks," I started brushing my hair again. Ella looked at me, "Will he talk tonight?"

"Maybe. I'm not certain," I put my brush down after finally getting my hair the way I want it. " Can wait to find out." Everyone looked at Bliss. She was leaning on the wall. "Be good Bliss," Maxwell said while using his king voice.

"I'm always good." Bliss sat up looking at Maxwell. "Yeah right. Just keep your mouth shut tonight. It will help everything go smoothly."

Bliss didn't say a word, she just looked at me with hatred in her eyes. "She's getting married and you're not. Get over it." Max added. "So what's his name?" Ella asked trying to get the attention away from Bliss. I looked at Ella and smiled, "Davidson." Ella looked at herself in the mirror next to me, "I hope I can get along with him." She hugged me, "You will. It's Bliss we are all worried about." Everyone laughed while Bliss walked out of the room. Ella went back to playing with my jewelry.

"I'm sorry I had to leave before it began." Maxwell began to apologize to me. I turned away from the mirror and looked at him, "It's fine Max. It was exciting." He seemed relieved to hear me say that, "So how many were there?"

I sat there and thought about how many people I talked to today, "Twelve." He looked as though I was lying, " Really? I was sure there were more?" I laughed a little, "it was, but when father said it was a Jousting tournament a great number of them left." I thought all kings to be were supposed to be trained in Jousting, "Why?" I shrugged my shoulders, "I don't know. I guess they don't know how."

He shook his head in disappointment, "That's a shame. Soon to be Kings and can not joust." Ella looked at me with a mischievous look in her eyes. She's up to something. Ella smiled and left the room with one of my necklaces. "I saw that Ella...," I yelled so that Ella could hear me. You can hear Ella laughing in the hall. "Did you know anyone?" He asked not caring that Ella stole something. "Raymond was there. He almost made it to the last match." I stood up from my seat.

"Really? I remember when he couldn't even hold a stick." He laughed at the thought of little Raymond trying to beat me in a stick fight. "I know." I laughed as well. After we finished laughing about the past, Maxwell said, "I hope all of them were nice." Going back to big brother mode. "Some nice, some shy, some flirty and one shouldn't even be a royal at all." I shook my head trying to get rid of the thought. "Who?" I put on my favorite necklace and looked at myself in the mirror one last time. "It doesn't matter anymore," I turned to face Maxwell again, "How do I look?"

He smiled and hugged me, "Beautiful as always. How do I look?" He stepped back a little showing off his outfit. "Handsome as always." We laughed. "Shall we head to the dining hall?" I nod my head yes, "After you brother."

Maxwell held out his arm and I wrapped my arm underneath his. We started walking towards the dining hall. On the way their, we ran into Davidson and Aland. Both Aland and Davidson bowed. "Your Highnesses." Aland was the first to speak.

"Aland, Davidson, how are you two?" I stood up straight looking both of them in the eyes. "We are fine. Your kingdom is wonderful." Aland once again bowed to us showing nothing but respect. "Thank you," I said.

"So this is Davidson." Maxwell gently lets go of my arm and walked over to face Davidson. Davidson looked at the ground. Maxwell held out his hand. "My name is Maxwell. Nice to meet you." Maxwell smiled trying to show Davidson he wasn't going to hurt him. Davidson looked up and smiled back, "You too." Davidson replied and they shook hands.

"Look, I know you're nervous just relax. My mother and father are very nice people. My sister Dawn and I will also look after you." He said this while stepping back and facing both Davidson and Aland. I quickly stepped forward next to Maxwell, "Ella, our little sister. She is a sweetheart that really wants to meet you."

"The only one you have to worry about is Bliss. She doesn't know when to keep her mouth shut." Maxwell added. "And if she says something you don't like just tell us. We will make her go away." Both Maxwell and I looked at each other. Satisfied about what we said. "Thank you" Aland spoke first. "Yes....thank you." Than Davidson behind him.

When we entered the dining room everyone was already seated and waiting for us. Davidson and I sat next to each other. On Davidson's right was Aland and on my left was Maxwell. Ella couldn't wait any longer and ran over to Davidson. Just like she does with our father, she hugged him with everything she had.

"Hello. My name is Ella." She looked up at him and smiled. "Hello....my name is...Davidson." He tried his best not to mix up his words. "It's nice to meet you." She finally lets him go. He smiled at Ella, "You too."

"Can I ask you something?" Ella tilted her head slightly to the side. Davidson looked at Aland and me, then back at Ella. " Alright." He was nervous but knew he had to get through it. "When you marry my sister.....are you going to keep her happy?" She asked him while holding one of his hands. Davidson looked at me again. "I will...I will try my best."

"Really?" You can hear the excitement in Ella's voice. Davidson looked back at Ella, " Yes." Ella hugged him again then ran to the King. "I like him." The King laughed, "I can see that." He Kissed Ella's head, "Now sit down and eat. "She walked back to her seat and sat down. "So, Davidson. How did you become such a good jouster?" The King asked him.

"My...my father." Davidson looked at the king still trying to calm his nerves. "He taught you everything?" The King was amazed that one person can teach him that much in his short life.

"Yes, your majesty." He nods his head. "He must be a great King." He said while thinking back on Maxwell's training. It took three people to get him to that level of technique and skill. Davison smiled, "He is."

"What can you tell me about your land? Is it anything like Phothia?" The King asked after remembering something he had heard. Davidson looked at Aland." It's ok. Just breathe." Davidson took a few deep breaths and looked back at the King, "It doesn't compare to the beauty of Phothia. It's like any other place...we don't like to spend a lot of money that won't help our people.....our main focus is to make everyone happy. We understand that can't happen but we continue to try."

The King placed his chin on his hands, "And this place is safe? I heard there was an some years ago."

Davidson looked down at his food, "Yes your majesty. It is safe.....there was an attack some years ago....." The King saw his behavior starting to change, "Are you alright?" Davidson didn't answer. Aland stepped in, "Please forgive him, your majesty. Davidson still remembers the attack. He witnessed it first hand as a small boy. The attack killed his mother and sister."

"I'm sorry to hear that." The King slightly bowed in his seat. Once again Davidson didn't say a word but Bliss did. "Was your sister annoying?" Bliss looked at me, "Mine is." she smiled making sure I saw her. I was hoping not to hear Bliss tonight but I did. So like my sister I didn't want to keep my mouth shut, "Bliss...I thought you would know when to hold your tongue."

"Guess not. She still has the tongue of a child." Maxwell added. " I do not." Bliss started getting mad due to Maxwell and I trying to shut her up. "Why don't we change the topic. How do you like The people of Phothia?" Maxwell asked them.

Surprisingly, Davidson was The first to speak, "The people here are very nice. I wish I could look around more." I came up with an idea to show him around while he's here, "If you stay here a few more days. I can show you around. Is that alright with you?"

"Ummm.....Yes..I'd like that." he nods his head yes. I was excited to hear him agree with my idea. I can get to know him a little bit better, "Great. Just tell me when you would like to go."

"Alright," Davidson said before beginning to eat. "Davidson," everyone looked at where the voice was coming from, it was Bliss. "Are you sure you would be happy with my little sister?" she looked at me with hatred in her eyes. Why would she ask that? All I asked was for her to shut up for one dinner, but she went and asked him this. I was so mad that I wanted to throw my plate at her, but didn't when I heard Maxwell yell at Bliss.

"BLISS." he looked at her to shut up but she continued, "I'm sure you'll be happier with me". She's trying it. She's trying to still Davidson from me. No one expected to hear the queen yell, "BLISS. HOLD YOUR TONGUE." when we were smaller and heard her say that everyone would get in trouble, including the King.

"Thank you for your offer.....I'm fine with.." Davidson looks at me, "Dawn."

I smiled and looked at Bliss. Sticking my tongue out at her, "Now are you done with your games Bliss? We would like to enjoy the rest of the dinner without them."

"No, I ...." before Bliss could finish the Queen interrupted her. "Bliss. I knew you would do this. I just didn't know how far you would go. If you continue this you will soon regret your decision". She looked at our mother. "Now behave yourself and enjoy your dinner". The queen added.

The Queen looks a Davidson, "Davidson, I apologize for her behavior." He smiled at her, "It is alright." The dinner ended peacefully after Bliss stopped talking. Maxwell noticed Ella was tired so he went to take her to her bed. The King and Queen walked to their chambers.
