Attack

The Queen looked at Garrick to see if he was telling the truth, "Garrick this isn't a joking matter. Where is he?" He took a deep breath, "Someone forced a sword through his heart when he was sleeping. We didn't hear a thing. When we noticed he wasn't up training with us we walked to his tent and found him."

The Queen's legs started to lose their strength. Her face lost all of its color. I stood there looking at Garrick trying to find in his eyes a hint that he was lying, I couldn't find any. The queen hands the baby over to me and started to walk back into the palace, dragging her feet. Maxwell and Ella followed her making sure she is alright. Bliss once again was nowhere to be found.

"Who did this?" I asked Garrick. "We don't know. We suspect someone from the inside." Davidson walked next to me, "You think someone betrayed the king?" Garrick nods his head, "Yes, but we also think someone from the other side snuck in at night and did this."

I had to stop myself from yelling at Garrick, "How is that possible? There are over a hundred knights and no one can spot one person." Garrick dropped down to one knee. "Princess Dawn, I will find the person who did this to your father and bring you his head."

"I don't want you to kill him....not yet. Just bring him to me." I walked away heading for the palace while holding Alia.

Davidson was about to speak to Garrick while he was still on the ground. When he looked up and saw knights wearing silver and gold heading their way. Phothia knights were green and black armor. He saw them killing villagers that stood in their way. Davidson knew what was happening.

He yelled out, "DAWN."

I turned around as I heard my name. When I saw the silver and gold heading our way I couldn't help but stop in my tracks.

"We are under attack. Get everyone out of the palace and into a safe place now." Davidson yelled at me. I forced myself to run into the palace with baby Alia in my arms while looking for Maxwell or Bliss. I found Maxwell first. "Maxwell. We need to get everyone out of here now."

He looked at me wondering if I was alright, "What's going on?" I pointed to the nearby window, "Were under attack." Maxwell glanced out the window and saw them trying to get through the palace gates. "Find mother and Ella and head to the field."

"What about Bliss?" Alia started crying.

"I saw her already heading there. Now go and get everyone." He pushed me to get me going. I ran to the chambers and saw my mother crying on her bed. Ella was trying to get her up. "Mother, Ella we have to go now." Alia was now crying even more, I used one of my hands to pull my mother who was still lying on the bed. "She hasn't spoken yet. Dawn, what happened to father?" Ella grabbed my hand. "Ella," I looked at her scared crying face, "I'm sorry but I can't tell you that right now. We all have to leave NOW. We are under attack."

The Queen finally looked up at me. "W have to go. Maxwell said to go to the field." The Queen grabbed Ella's hand and we all started to head towards the field. When we reached the field Alia and Ella were now crying. Ella while holding onto our mother and Alia in my arms. I looked around, "Where is she?" The mother looked around as well, "Who?"

"Maxwell said Bliss would be here. I don't see her," I explained. While being far away from the palace we could still hear the glass being broken, people screaming and yelling, things being thrown and the faint sound of laughter.

Ella looked at the palace, "Why is this happening?" I was wondering the same thing. "I don't know." From a distance, you could see Davidson riding a horse heading towards us. A Knight was accompanying him while riding another horse. Davidson Quickly jumped off his horse and ran towards me. "Are you ok? Is everyone alright?"

"I'm fine, we're fine, but Maxwell is still in their and so is Bliss." The knight climbs off his horse.

" I will go find them." He drew his sword and ran towards the palace. "We have to get you all out of here." I grabbed Davidson arm with my free hand, "But there---." Davidson cuts me off. "They are here for your head. Some of the soldiers yelled that before they perished. They're after you Dawn."

I couldn't believe my ears. I was wondering what did I do to deserve this when I heard my mother speaks up, "Davidson, take my girls and head to Bewen."

"But mother." I tried to protest but my mother continued to speak, "Watch over them for me. Please protect them." Those were her last words before heading towards the palace. She didn't make it far. The enemy captured her. She was fighting them but was quickly outnumbered. They started to head towards us.

"We have to go." Davidson quickly helped me onto my horse. With one hand I held onto the horse's hair the other with Alia. Ella was on the horse with Davidson. She was holding onto the back of his shirt as tight as she could.

Taking off, the horses ran into the woods, jumping over falling trees and running through small rivers. Arrows were flying through the air, but we continued to ride. we didn't look back. Not even once. After a while, we reached a nearby village and the soldiers that were chasing us seemed to have retreated. We then climbed down to take in our surrounding.

"Where are we," Davidson asked. Ella stopped crying, but Alia didn't. I looked around. "It looks familiar." After a few moments go by I realized where we were. Without saying a word I ran to the palace. Davidson and Ella were behind me the entire way. When we reached the front door, I carefully walk into the palace. Davidson and Ella stayed behind.

While walking around she reached the kitchen and saw him.

"Raymond." He was surprised to hear his name. He was trying to sneak some sweets without the servants looking but was caught. When he realized I was in the room he ran to me.

He saw that I was all sweaty with and a few scratches on my arms and face, "Dawn what are you---." I cut him off. "Ray we don't have enough time to speak. I need to borrow some of your knights." I was breathing heavily as I told him this. All I want right now is to get to Bewen safe, "Why?"

I yelled, "Ray, please. I'll explain later." Raymond saw Alia in her arms, she was now quiet. After a moment or two, he nods his head. He left to go gather the guards as I walked outside.

"Dawn, where are we?" Davidson asked me. "Lupawen. Raymond lives here. I asked him if we could use some of his knights as we travel to Bewen."

Raymond walked out of the palace and behind him were fifteen knights. After departing with him. Davidson, Ella, Alia and I made our way to Bewen. Once we arrived the maids and other servants helped us clean our wounds and clothing.

"What happened?" Aland asked Davidson. They were in Davison's room. Aland was talking with Davidson as he patched himself up. "They were attacked," Aland stopped what he was doing. Which was reading one of David's notes, "What?" Aland yelled.

"Silver and gold. Those are their colors. They didn't carry any flags with them and no symbol." Davidson puts on his shirt. "Do you know why they were there?" Aland asked. "All I know is that they wanted Dawn dead, for what I can't answer." He buttons up his shirt.

"Is she alright?" Aland hands him his sword. "She's holding it all in. But her sister she's letting it all out." Davidson fixed his hair while looking in the mirror. "Bliss?" Aland looked at Davidson threw the mirror. "No, Ella. Bliss and Maxwell were still in the palace when we left. It was Dawn, me, Ella and baby Alia." Davidson looked at his own hands. "I wish I could do more for her."

Aland placed his hand on Davidson's shoulder, "You are. Your protecting her, you helped her and her sisters get out of there safely." He looks at Aland, "I want to do more." He grabbed his sword that was hanging on his side. "Than fight alongside her."
