Chapter 77
''Ah! Welcome your highness.'' Dev nodded as the old politician stood up to greet him and his wife. Rolli greeted the old man with respect as they all took seats. ''I am sorry they way my subordinate behaved with you.'' He addressed the Queen.
She kept playing with her finger ring; smiled and looked up. ''I will accept the apology just from him. He threatened that I would regret stopping him from doing what he shouldn't.'' her voice was sarcastic and threatening. The old politician sipped some water. ''I think its best you contest election, we will offer your ticket.''
''You Think I need that?'' Dev cleared his throat trying not to smile. ''No, its just an apology we offer.''
''Call him and make him apologise.'' That came with lot of aggression. The man nodded and asked someone to call the guy who miffed the Queen. Rolli gave the young guy a sinister smile; she wasn't here for apology, she never wanted nor she cared of an apology. Her ego wasn't that high; but she needed to do so that others realize who held the power. The man did apologize and on his knees. The Queen didn't bother to acknowledge the a same before walking out.
''Don't you think that was too rude.'' Dev asked. She smiled adorably at him. ''Learn this Devansh Singh, to do the right things, sometimes you need to show your wrong side.'' Dev just shook his head. His mom and grandmother had fed him with hatred for years, and when reality surfaced, he just wanted peace. He wanted to undo all the wrong that his family did but with compassion; his wife thought otherwise.
''We have a surprise waiting at home.'' Rolli broke the chain of his thoughts. He frowned but she just gave him a sweet smile.

Vikram took in all what Agni said. They had decided to visit Rolli on their way back from honeymoon and Agni's words angered him. His eyes went to Sonakshi; who seemed busy with Dev's cute pets. ''I would love to see my grandmother.'' Agni smiled leading him in.
Vasudha's was left shocked when Vikram entered her chambers and the door got locked behind him. His eyes spoke haterd and his clenched fist depicted his anger. She knew he just wanted to kill her every time he saw her. Vikram wondered why he left her alive when he had a golden chance to kill her. ''I heard you are doing better than required.'' Vikram said taking a step closer, Vasudha woman retreated. Before she could think, he was close; locking her to the chair. ''My sister will never be alone. Forget about harming her, even a thought about it, will be harmful for your life.'' His fingers curled around her neck. ''I don't care for anyone but my sister. So, live your life till it lasts.''
''Anna!'' Sona jumped into Dev's arms . He cuddled his sister as Rolli watched her brother descending the stairs. From his eyes, she knew where he had been. He smiled as she hugged him. ''That's some surprise.''
''I am glad I visited.'' Vikram replied. ''Dev, are you planning to start an animal shelter home.'' Vikram teased looking at the kittens and the small bird that now had taken Dev's shoulder. Dev took a step and hugged his cousin.
''They are so cute. Today they all will sleep with us. What say Vikram?'' Sona asked and he lost all the color on his face. ''Why am I even asking, they are sleeping with us.'' She declared and Dev stared at his sister in shock. ''What got into you?''
''Nothing, I am improving.'' With that, Sona grabbed Rolli's arm leaving the two men alone. ''She has changed.'' Dev exclaimed
''Ask me! She keeps dropping the bomb. Leave us, how have you been.''
Dev smiled. ''I am happy, because of her.'' He pointed towards Rolli. '' She brings me life.'' Vikram nodded. ''Tell me if you need help, not because she is my sister but because I am your brother as well.'' Dev nodded; ''I will, if I need it. Your sister is no less.'' Their conversation was broken as whiskey decided to intervene. ''Stay away!''
''You don't like animals.'' Dev asked cuddling the small fur ball
''No, I am not a pet person.'' Vikram replied stepping back from the kitten who seemed to be ready to jump on him.
Sona started off like a chatter box describing all her adventures and the gifts she picked. Rolli's mind was playing the words of young man who came to apologize to her. He mentioned someone one from the family wanted power. She knew who it was. Once Dev slept, she sneaked out of the room to have a word with Vasudha.
Unlike her brother, her patience had ran out. She barged in and woke Vasudha up rather too rough. ''You are hurting me.''
''I am going to feed you to the animals, the way your husband did. Listen to me witch, I am here to stay. If you don't mend your ways, I will kill you in sleep and prove it a heart attack. You are not dealing with some novice here, I am Aahana Ranvijay Rathore. Though, I am brave as my dad; I can be cruel as Rudrani Rathore. From hereon, you will not step out without my permission. You don't get to use phones.''
''I will let Dev know.'' Vasudha warned
''Do it! I challenge you, and the same night you will see your husband in hell.'' Rolli pushed the older woman on the bed, pinning her down. Picking a pillow, she pressed it on her face. Vasudha struggled to breathe, trying to fight the stronger opponent. Rolli let go as the old woman coughed for air. ''You just got a life.Don't waste it. Next time, I will make sure you die without a sound.'' Dumping the pillow hard on the floor she walked out. Rolli was aware, Vasudha won't be able to open her mouth; she was aware that if Rolli wanted, she would be dead and no one would call it a murder. People would throw flowers on her grave and pray for her soul. Vasudha's eyes moved towards the door from where the Rathore Princess walked out, she decided to stay low.

''We could have stopped this. WHy are we doing this Dhananjay?'' Nandini asked as Maan and Leela exchanged the vows.
Dhananjay smiled but it didn't reach his eyes. ''I know she is hurting, but trust me its for her own good. DO you know who got them clicked together at the club?'' Nandini thought and then exclaimed. ''You father.''
''He was never happy with our decision to declare Leela as our own. He had plans to malign and throw her out.'' Dhananjay huffed. ''Ranawats are good people, she will find what she could never find with us. Respect.'' Turning his eyes to Leela, he swallowed the dryness. ''I failed her; again.'' nandini pressed her husband's arm. He had taken a lot from his proud father and at times from her, but he loved his niece. Though, he failed to express.
Leela stepped closer to her uncle and aunt, her face devoid of any expressions. Dhananjay smiled at his niece pulling her in a hug. ''Forgive me...for everything.'' Leela heard pain in his voice. She lifted her arms to wrap around him. ''I know, you tried..you always have and I have no complaints. Just don't break Urvi's heart.'' He pecked her forehead but didn't let go. Along with Nandini, he walked her to the waiting vehicle. ''He is a good guy, give him a chance.''
''I will try.'' They watched as Ranawats drove off with their eldest child. ''Your dad needs a lesson.''
''Yes, will give him one.'' This time Dhananjay sounded mad. When his dad blackmailed him on Leela, he had then decided to strip him off all the power and name next. This time he crossed all limits in his desire to hurt Leela

''I am glad you are back Raksha.'' Adi smiled at his wife.
'' I had to, Maan is like a son. Moreover, the mess is created by our son. Anyways, I am not interested. I have requested Leela to be welcomed in our home; she needs to get a proper reception. This is the first wedding in Ranawats and it shouldn't be simple. I don't want people to talk about the sudden wedding.'' Adi huffed, his wife had come back after two months and still seemed miffed.
Raksha welcomed Leela in Ranawat Palace. Adhiraj's parents were no more and Maan was his only son. Raksha didn't wanted new girl to feel left out or unwelcome. Adhiraj looked tense and some what worried. Adi patted his brother's back. ''Calm down.''
''These kids have created a mess.'
''Adhiraj, no one is going to talk about it. Once we give them something to talk about, an unforgettable reception.''
''I am more worried about their future life.''
''We will do all to help them settle.'' Adi smiled when his eyes fell on his nervous nephew. ''the groom looks more nervous than the bride.'' Raksha pulled Maan's wrist, pushing him to sit next to his new wife but he seemed to have frozen. ''Maan, move.''
''I can't.'' he whispered.
''Why?''
''I don't know, my feet don't move.'' He replied looking very nervous. Raksha rolled her eyes, grabbed him by ear and pushed him down next to Leela. He looked at her and whispered. ''Hi, how are you?''
Leela wanted to hold her stomach and laugh, the man she married way too funny. But somewhere she had started respecting Maan for keeping her family's and her honor.
''Will you stop shivering!'' That came from his mother
''I think its cold in here.'' he replied nervous. Leela pressed her lips, her life started exciting. She was glad for the veil on her head that hid her smile. The elders stared at one another. Maan wasn't submissive; he was a well behaved, confident and matured but for some reason he behaved oddly. ''He is going to malign ranawat name with all his fear.'' That came from Adhiraj.
Adi smiled ''We all are equally scared of our wives but with time we have learned to hide it.'' They nodded and decided to give nervous Maan some company. On the other hand, Maan wondered how will he survive with the fiery Leela in one room.

Sona jumped into Dipika's arms the moment she entered the Rathore home. Dipika had to balance her form from falling on her back. ''Ma, I got you so many gifts. All from my money.''
''That's great. Now, freshen up and join all for dinner.'' Sona nodded hopping back to her room.
''For whom did you buy that?'' Vikram asked as he watched Sona locking a box in the shelf. ''That's for Chitra, I miss her. No one to bitch about you.'' He rolled his eyes. She will be back
''That's 2 years. I feel bad for Vansh.''
''Look at the good side; he had turned to his passion. He never wanted to be known as a privileged Rathore, he wanted to be Vansh. He has secured a good job in a big Automotive firm, and that makes all of us proud.'' She nodded

''How dare you?'' Jayant roared at his son. Dhanajay glared at his father. ''I warned you against harming Leela, you seemed to have ignored that. Now, try ignoring this. I have declared that you are retiring and henceforth, there will be no public appearances by you. You will also not have any powers in making the decision regarding the Chauhan estate, let alone my kids.
''She is not your kid. You are depriving Urvi of her share.''
''Stop talking about me ; I am still here.'' Urvi screamed. She have had enough. The pain Leela went through till the wedding and then her mother's constant warning against Advay. Now, hearing what her grandfather had done, made her feel disgusted. ''You should be ashamed Jayant Chauhan. About me, I want all of your to hear loud and clear, this is my life and I am going to decide who stays and who leave. This implies to all.'' Urvi uttered the last words, her gaze locked with her mother's before walking away.
Dhananjay turned to his staff. ''If you want your salary, follow my orders not my father's.'' He threw his father a smirk following Urvi in.
