Chapter 38
''You can capture me but what about the others. They won't let you stay in peace.'' A giant man warned Dev.
''You are the one with broken limbs not me and they will follow my rules. These are my lands and like others you and the one you lead are my employees . Its me who sets and breaks the rules.'' Dev's eyes met that for his guard , ''Keep him here till he completely forgets Mahendra Singh and his glorious days.''
With that Dev left the the dungeon to moved to his room. He had to leave for Sona's wedding and he wanted to be a part of everything . Sona was his life and he wanted to show the world the same.
''Sagar, check your stuff. You are not leaving anything behind.''
''You don't me to come back here.'' Sagar complained
Dev huffed, ''You have already missed many classes , I don't want you missing more.''
''Just say it, you don't want me around.'' Sagar's pain filled voice did the job. Dev couldn't understand why Sagar suddenly had grown so persistent. Walking to his baby brother , he held Sagar by shoulders , ''You are my brother and I love you Sagar.''
''If you did, you wouldn't have shared your pain with walls of this castle all night. You would have chosen me.''
Dev shut his eyes and there she was smiling at him. Her small dimple added to her cuteness. When Dev reopened his eyes, they had the remnants of his pain. He had not slept a wink for days and would roam around the Palace all night but he didn't realise that his brother had seen it all.
''Is it so difficult to let her go?'' Sagar asked
''Let her go? How ? She runs in me like blood, I breathe her like air. She is every where.'' Dev finally confessed.
''You will not leave me?'' Sagar asked for a reassurance. Dev smiled, pecked his teen brother's forehead, ''How can I ? You are the reason for my smile.'' Sagar hugged Dev. For him Dev was epitome of perfection and he hated Rathore princess for breaking his brother's heart.
''Hukum, Rathore Princess is here.'' The brothers froze hearing about the arrival of Rathore Princess. Dev held his heart which was ready to jump out of his chest. Whereas, Sagar was determined not to let his brother face the proud Princess alone
''You stay here, I will do the formalities.'' Sagar commanded
Dev chuckled, ''She isn't a rose bud. One wrong move and she will wring your neck. More over, I haven't seen her for ages.''

Rolli groaned inwardly as she was being driven to Suryagarh. She couldn't understand why her father assigned her the task of handling the gifts for Sona to Dev. he was aware of their past, she knew Ranvijay want her to let go all the anger but she just couldn't. For now, she feared how to face the man she loved so fiercely.
''We are here Hukum.'' The voice of her guard pulled her out of her thoughts. She got out of her vehicle and stood watching the magnificent Palace. Once known as one of the most powerful clans, Suryagarh has faced its own demons for quite a long.
'Just be cordial. Nothing more.' She huffed recalling her mother's strong words. Her mother and aunt had tried to dissuade her father but his ind was made up. Rolli couldn't understand what her father expected out of her.
She was being lead to the massive hall and served refreshments. Rolli just shut her eyes and started breathing deep, she needed to calm down. Her heart had its own mood, it was more excited than her mind and pumped the excitement to each nerve of her body through the blood.
The frantic beating for her heart multiplied when she heard footsteps approaching her and then came the voice she longed for days, ''Welcome to Suryagarh, Princess.''
Rolli opened her eyes to meet his dark ones as her voice failed her again. She took a deep breath again, ''There are few gifts for Sonakshi. I have just come to hand it to you in person.''
''Sure! You were right on time. We are leaving today for home.'' He informed and then there was a silence.
''The tea is getting cold.'' He tried to break the silence. She nodded and lifted the cup with shivering hands. Dev noticed everything, her body language gave away her pain to him.
His mind debated what to do next but heart won the battle. Keeping aside all his inhibitions, he moved closer to her and pulled her in his arms, ''Don't push back.'' He warned when her palms pushed his chest.
''Let me go.'' She pleaded.
''I tried but can't, its not easy. You don't leave me.''
''I don't want to be with you.'' Her voice didn't support her resolve. Dev cupped her cheek turning her light eyes to him, ''Say that to me on face.''
''You tried killing my dad, I hate you.''
''I hate myself as well but can't hate you and I am sorry. I know , in this life you won't be able to forgive me for my deed but please try.'' There was a desperation in his voice. She buried her face in his chest inhaling deep, ''Dev, its difficult now.''
''I know and I won't push. Once things are in place, I will go far from everyone. You will then have a life in peace.'' She didn't utter a word but displayed her pain gripping his shirt in a wild grip. He wanted her to move on. How could she tell him that she didn't wanted to be in the world which she couldn't share with him. If moving on was so easy, she would have have happily done that long back but it wasn't.
Dev's palm's moved around all over her back. It was after months he could hold her at her will. he wanted the time to stop forever. It could be the last time he will be able to find her this close. She gently pushed him back, ''I should leave.''
''Can I stop you.'' He asked
''DOn't! because I won't be able to leave.'' She pleaded. Dev took her hand into his, bringing them to his lips her kissed them deep. ''Its just you that I love and will love for life.''
She wanted to repeat those words but couldn't, instead she punched his chest hard, ''Why did you do it Dev. Why did you break us apart?'' Rolli never felt that weak all her life. She stepped back, ''We will see each other in the wedding, lets keep it cordial.''
He pulled her back, ''Explain cordial. Not to smile at you or not to look at you or pretend that there is nothing between us.'' He questioned.
''Yes, we have to be like this from now on. Forgive me Dev.'' She tried stepping back but was pulled up again. Dev's lips found hers and he poured all his love for her. Rolli couldn't hold more , she welcome the warmth she had been missing for so long. This could be the last time she would be in his arms and she was going to relish the same for life.
Pecking his lips once , she stepped away, ''Good bye Dev!'' He stood frozen watching her walk away but he couldn't reply to her goodbye.

''You are aware of everything, yet you pushed Rolli to go.'' Ananya was beyond mad on her husband and his calm demure was making her lose her mind. ''Answer me Ranvijay Rathore.''
Ranvijay tossed the book aside, coming to his full height , he stood looming over his wife, ''Because my daughter loves that man.''
''That man tried to kill the man I love, and Rolli knows it.''
''Ananya, Dev is a kid. Like Vikram. Your Vicky too shot his wife, the girl he loved so much. If Sona can forgive Vikram then Rolli should forgive Dev.''
''Vicky never wanted to kill Sona. His intention was to stop her, for you.'' Ananya argued.
Ranvijay smirked, leaning closer he said, ''You and I both know what Vikram Rathore is. He didn't do anything sinister because he was being restrained. Dipika decided to keep Sona away from him, with Chitra.''
Ananya said nothing, ''This is never going to happen Ranvijay.''
''If I can fight for my love, you can't imagine what I can do for the smile of my favourite child.''
''You will have to fight me.'' Ananya challenged
Ranvijya smiled, ''I am use to it.'' His smile irritated her more, stomping she walked off. Ranvijay chuckled. Moving to the porch he stared at the oblivion, ''I have already started and in Vikram's wedding I will make sure you two are together for life.''

''Have you lost it? You just escaped the dangerous brigade of grannies and now you want to give them another reason to crucify you?'' Advay reasoned hearing his cousin's planning.
''Advay, you need to calm down. I have perfect man to do my job.'' Four pair of eyes moved to the door where Velu stood with a wide grin on his face. Vikram wrapped an arm around Velu's shoulder , ''Guys, we should be thanking Velu for saving me from grannies. Thank you Velu.''
Vikram ginned wider, Velu felt at the top of the world. Vikram added, ''I am going to teach Velu English , just like foreigner speak . You want to learn English, right Velu?'' Velu nodded like a good boy. He was overwhelmed that Rathore Prince felt obliged to him.
Vikram understood everything. He pulled out some of his t-shirts and gave it to Velu, ''From now, we are friends.''
Velu grinned wider, ''Friends. Velu do all...but no Sona.'' Vansh pressed his lips trying to hide the laughter.
Vikram huffed, ''No..meeting Sona. But letter...yes.''
Velu thought, he got new t-shirts , the Prince called him his friend and he was going to learn English. Something he always wished to do. Since Vikram agreed not to meet Sona, a letter wasn't breaking any rules.'' He agreed with a shake of his head. They just had few days before leaving for Bangkok and he wanted to promise Sona in words what he held in his heart.

Sona had turned alert, all eyes seemed to be on her. Her grandmother, Neelambari wasn't a gullible woman. She could read people like open book and Sona was hell scared about getting caught again.
Sona felt the reason to explain her grandmother but her feet wouldn't move past the threshold of her room. She didn't wanted grandmother disappointed in her. She took a deep breath, ''Okay, I will do it now.'' Just when her determination was on the sky, Velu broke it handing her the letter from Dev, ''From Your Prince.'' Sona blinked hearing the clear pronunciation from Velu. The young boy thought Sona didn't understand what he said so he repeated in tamil, '' ungal ilavarasanidam irunthu.'' Sona's eyes went wide, She understood what Vikram did. Sona face palmed walking back into her room cursing Vikram for destroying her plan.

Vansh walked out into the plantation, it had been 48 hours since he last spoke to Chitra. He knew Sitra had confiscated her phone but there was someone who would help him. Vansh always had been the baby of the house and he knew he was the weakness of his grand parents. Picking his phone he dialed his Grandfather, ''Dadi, I will just speak to her once. I am worried about her.''
His grandmother huffed, ''She is fine son. I will make sure Sitra doesn't go hard on her.''
''Can I speak to her , once.''
''Vansh, its not the right time for you . I promised to be on your side but this way would earn you the wrath of everyone.''
''I don't care.'' Came his voice
''Then you should son. You can't; fight Ranvijay and Veer. You need their yes if you want to move ahead.''
''I will marry her anyways.'' He disconnected without hearing another word. Vansh didn't care if he had his father and Uncle's support. He loved Chitra and that was his ultimate truth. He was ready to fight his father and her mother to have her in his life. Vansh couldn't understand that what his father did was for a reason.
In his determination he forgot that the man he was dealing with was his father. SOmeone who knew what being limitless meant. Vansh had always witnessed Ranvijay's calm friendly side, he didn't knew that his rebellious nature was bringing him closer to his father's other side. A side , which should be feared.
