You stare at the book in front of you, the most confused look on your face as your boyfriend tries to explain the problem to you for the fifth time.

"So the question is find the word that names a necessary part of the word 'cage'. Here are the options," he explains again, his voice calm as he uses his pencil to point to the words on the paper, "Captivity, security, display or door?"

"But what if the cage is to display something? What if it's for the things own security? Why is it captivity!?" You exclaim, looking at Jaeden, "The fuck does this mean."

"Y/n, you're thinking too much about it," he says, a small smile on his face, "Let's try another one."

You just nod and look at the next problem for a second before closing the book and standing up, "That's it. I won't get into this high school. I'm okay with that."

"It's just one segment of the test. You won't fail the entire thing to one segment," Jaeden tries to reassure you, placing a hand on your shoulder, "We got this. We have a month. Don't worry."

You calm down by his touch and you bury your face in his shoulder, "Thank you."

"No problem. I'm here for you."

He wraps his arms around you and the stress leaves your body.
