[24] Halloween-ish
This was supposed to be out yesterday and I'm sorry it wasn't. I had a really rough day and things were really bad. But it's here now and I hope it's okay, even though it's really short.
Enjoy.
Roman hadn't made any plans for Halloween, not even with his boyfriend. It wasn't that he didn't want to, but after having one too many bad things happen on the final day of October, he'd chosen to do nothing pertaining to the holiday.
He sighed and lounged on his sofa, waiting for Patton to come home from work. Instead of trick or treating with their families, or a Halloween party, or a haunted house, they'd decided on nothing. They didn't want to do anything. Well, Patton had wanted to, but upon seeing the stress it out on Roman in previous years, he agreed to take a break from celebrating it.
Patton didn't know why Roman disliked the holiday so much, but he wasn't going to make his boyfriend feel bad about it. He wanted to make sure Roman felt comfortable.
Roman sighed softly and flicked through Netflix, waiting to select something for them to watch. He sat up slightly as the door opened and he grinned.
"Cookie."
"Hey," Patton smiled and kicked off his shoes, moving to press a soft kiss to Roman's forehead. "Whatcha watching?"
"Nothing at the moment, I was waiting for you."
"Let me go put my pyjamas on, and I'll make a hot chocolate for us both." Patton kissed his forehead again and smiled.
Roman lay back and continued scrolling through until he found a movie he thought they'd both like. He smiled and placed the remote down, waiting for Patton.
Patton soon came back and lay on him, lacing the hot chocolates to cool on the table. He hit play in the remote and snuggled up closer to Roman.
They stayed like that for the rest of the evening, no words needing to be spoken, and nothing to make them feel bad.
And maybe Halloween sucked sometimes, but it was okay as long as Roman had Patton by his side.
