Roman looked over at Patton and smiled, his husband was way too adorable to comprehend. He's sat with Virgil, their child, in his lap, reading him a story, whilst acting out some of the lines, and Virgil's giggles fill the silence.

Originally, Virgil had been in bed and Roman and Patton had been cuddling, only Virgil had a nightmare and toddled downstairs, trying to get his dads attention. When it finally happened, Patton promised him a story while Roman made them some warm milk.

As soon as Patton finished the story, he took Virgil upstairs and the two stayed in Virgil's bed for a while, and Patton sang him a small lullaby until he fell asleep.

As soon as Patton came back downstairs, Roman pulled him into his lap and held him close, pressing soft kisses to his temple and cheeks.

Patton smiled and turned slightly, connecting their lips and Roman held him slightly tighter. Their life wasn't perfect to most people, but it was definitely perfect to them.
