Sonic's P.O.V.
"Here." Shadow gave me the burn phone and I immediately dialed my mothers number.

"Hello?" She answered right away. I knew she was going to.

"Its Sonic. I heard what you said in the news." I said calmly and I could tell she was happy and relieved I had called.

"Maurice! I am so glad you called! Where are you?! Did Shadow hurt you?!" Of course they knew Shadow took me, he went missing the same day I did.

"Shadow didn't hurt me, he saved me from your stupid and idiotic plans!" I shouted at her.

"Don't raise your voice at me, Maurice! I am doing what it is best for you!" She shouted back. She was furious. "Now, get back here and Shadow won't get hurt." She threatened making my ears lower.

"W-what do you mean...?" I asked shocked.

"We know your relationship with Shadow. Why else will he take you without harming you? Get back here and he will keep his job and nothing will happen to him but will get married. If you don't come back, GUN will find you two and make sure you and Shadow never see each other again." That broke my heart.

My own mother.

How could she...?

This is never going to have a happy ending, is it...?

I looked up at Shadow who had his ears dropped and rubbing his face. He was so stressed out. He wasn't happy... I haven't seen him smile since the day we got here.

I sighed and slowly nodded.

"I will go back..." I said making Shadow's ears perked up and look at me hurt, I put the phone down. He shook his head and pulled me to him.

"No..." He whispered and let a tear roll down his muzzle. I had never seen him cry. Was he afraid of losing me...?

"I'm sorry... Im so sorry Shadow... But I can't see you like this anymore... Being with me caused you so many problems..." I pinned my ears down but he hugged me tighter when I tried to pull away. "Shadow... You need to let go... I can't get you in any more problems..." I wanted to break down.

Chaos I wanted all of this to end. I wanted to have a normal life!

Not a hero anymore!

Not a prince either!

I wanted to be with HIM! Just with him...

But I can't...

That isn't my life...
