A/N: Short chapter

"Please keep searching for the best offer on a new military airplane. Then, send the final report to the King before the end of the month. The meeting ends here. Thank you for all your hard work. Please keep it up, the tour today was wonderful." Earth gives his final speech at the end of the meeting.

He and Kao came to inspect an Air Force base at Ilithya City, 2-hour flight from the capital. With Kao's military background, the King wants Earth to visit the base together to learn more from Kao. Beside, after almost 2 months of dating, Earth's parents already seeing Kao as Earth's future Prince Consort. Thus, it's not strange for Kao to accompany Earth anymore.

After 8 hours long of inspecting and then attending a meeting, they are finally able to going back. It was a long day,  both can't wait to get some rest. After shaking countless hands, Earth and Kao are getting ready to head toward the runway, where the helicopter located. Outside, it's raining hard, filled the whole base with white drops of water. Lighting strikes here and there, shaking up the earth. Before they even get out of the meeting room, Earth security guard, Mark, speaks.

"Your Highness and My Lord, we can't get back to the Royal Palace tonight. The storm changes its direction. It is heading this way. We can't get out tonight. It's too dangerous to flight in the storm. We have to stay here for the night. The general already arranged rooms for both of you."

Earth sighs, they can't do anything about the unexpected weather. He hopes the storm will pass soon, he has many tasks to finish at the capital. "Thank you Mark!" Earth then turns to Kao who is standing by his side. "Kao, let's get some rest then!"

Kao can totally see the tired face of his boyfriend. He reaches out his hand to hold Earth's hand, bringing that soft hand to his lips for a gentle kiss. If they were alone, he would have give Earth a hug. A hand kiss is all he can give at the moment. "Get some rest, Your Highness! Everything will be fine."

They head to the elevator to their accommodations. The building that held the meeting earlier is actually a small hotel located right on the base. It is a six-story building. The general prepared the top floor of the building for them. Once they step out of the elevator, they face a spacious living room. Beyond it is the kitchen area with dining table. To the left and right of the elevator are two bedrooms. Earth and Kao head to the bedroom each, ready to rest for the night. Their security guards stand outside of their bedrooms and elevator.

It is 12:30 a.m.
Earth can't sleep at all. His stomach is rumbling loudly. He regretted for not eating dinner earlier. He was tired and had to finished reading a few reports. Therefore, he denied dinner. Now, his stomach is protesting. He heaves a sigh and sits up to get out of bed. Earth decides to find something to eat at the kitchen. It's late, he doesn't want to call room service and bother people. He heads out to the kitchen. The storm must have reached Ilithya, it's raining really hard with constant lighting. The wind blows heavily against the window, howling its voice.

Earth scans the fridge in front of him. There are only soft drinks, milk, juice, and alcohol. He changes the target to kitchen cabinets. There are ramen, fruit cans, spices, and a few bags of snack. "Ramen it is then." He says to himself.
One problem is: Earth doesn't know how to cook.... even ramen. But how hard can it be right? Just put everything in the bag into the water, then wait till it soft. He quickly search for a pot to fill it with water.

"You are not sleeping?" Kao's voice interrupts the sound of cabinet opening and closing.

Earth looks over to his shoulder to see Kao heading toward the kitchen, standing right next to him. "Did I wake you up? I'm sorry!"

"No, I couldn't sleep. Then I heard all the noises out here. So I decided to go out to look. What are you doing?" Kao gently asks his boyfriend, his eyes full of curiosity.

"I'm hungry! So I try to cook ramen. Do you want some?" Earth answers while he fills the pot with water.

"Sure! Do you want me to help?"

"No, I can do it. How hard can it be?" Earth shakes his head, stopping Kao from doing anything. Once the pot is almost full with water, he put it on the stove top. Before even turning the stove top on, he opens the bag of ramen, takes out the seasoning package. He was about to pour the ramen into the pot, then a hand stops him.

"Uhm, you know you have to boil the water first before you put the ramen in right?" Kao asks, his voice a little concern.

"Oh right! Haha.... let's me turn the stove on." Earth's face is heating up a little, embarrassing. He tries to turn on the stove top, but he couldn't. Too many buttons. Once again, Kao's hand reaches out and hit the ON button for the stove.

"Here you go! By the way, I think you put too much water. It might flow out when we put the ramen in. Let's pour some water out." Kao quickly grabs the pot and pours out the water. Then, he puts the pot back on the stove top.
Earth knows he is blushing right now. He shouldn't think that it was easy. He shyly turns his head away from Kao, hiding his tomato face. Kao chuckles at his boyfriend's cuteness.

"It's okay Earth! I'm not judging you. Don't look away."

Earth is still embarrassed, he wouldn't look at Kao. Kao can only smiles while shaking his head on Earth's stubbornness. They are both standing quietly by the counter, waiting for the water to boil.

"Do you think we would meet each other if we are normal people?" Earth asks, breaking the silence.

Kao doesn't answer right away, thinking over his answer before he says, "I think we would. If we are destined to meet, then we would no matter the circumstances."

"I didn't expect you are the type to believe in fate."

"Hey, don't judge a book by its cover." Kao winks. The response makes Earth smiles.

After two months of dating, their relationship is deepening everyday. For Earth, his heart always beat faster when Kao is around. He loves every moment that he spend with Kao. He feels safe in his boyfriend's presence, knowing there is someone who can support him when he need.

"I wish we can always be like this." Kao breaks the silence this time. "It feels good doing such simple thing with you, like any normal couple."

"For the both of us, such a normal thing for everyone else could be so rare for us." Earth agrees with Kao. "Say Kao, do you regret being with me? You could have a more private relationship with someone else. With me, we are always watched by the public."

"Earth, please don't say that!" Kao hurriedly says. He takes a step toward Earth, his hands touch Earth's cheeks, bringing them close together. "When I decided to ask you to be my boyfriend, I already expected this. Beside, I am the son of a Duke. I'm used to all these situations. Getting photographed more is no difference. Plus, I get photographed with the Crown Prince, isn't that everyone's dream?" Kao smiles, hoping he had eased Earth's concern.

"How can you even joke at such serious moment." Earth couldn't help but laugh, feeling a little lighter.

"Whatever we are, Royal or not, I still like you as who you are, I still choose to be by your side. To tell you the truth, I think you are the best thing I can ever asked for. Every moment with you makes my life brighter. Your smile pierces through my heart, making it beat wildly. So don't think I regret any of this." Kao looks deep into Earth's eyes, conveying his feeling for Earth. The Crown Prince's face has a shade of pink, his lips form a shy smile.

The Crown Prince's next movement gives Kao a surprise. Earth lifts up his feet, giving Kao a peck on the lips. He can smell the soft jasmine scent on Earth's body. "Thank you Kao, for being my boyfriend."

"I don't think a small kiss is enough to say thank you Your Highness!" Kao smirks. It's not easy to see Earth taking the initiative, he can't help but tease.

Earth can only smiles at his boyfriend's tease. He lifts himself up again, giving Kao another kiss. This time, Kao would not have only a soft peck. He captures Earth's lips, pulling him closer for a longer kiss. They enjoy each other's warm, forgetting about the boiling water on the stove.

The longer they kiss, the more they addicted to the sweetness, the deeper the kiss. Kao lifts Earth's body up, making him sit on the kitchen counter. Earth also adjusts his body, hugging Kao's waist with his legs. The whole time their lips never break connection. Earth tilts his head to the side, opening his mouth. Like a predator who had been waiting for its opportunity, Kao's tongue immediately enter Earth's mouth. Their mouths dance together in the wild dance of two lovers, getting more intense as time passes.

"AHEM...AHEM..." Sadly, their private moment is interrupted by the voice of Mark.

"Yes?" Kao answers, clearly annoyed. Earth embarrassingly put his head on Kao's shoulder, hiding his flushing face while catching his breath.

"Your Highness and My Lord, I'm sorry for interrupting, but the stove is still on. I don't want to burn this place down. Excuse me!" Mark hurriedly warns the two then quickly return to his post.
Kao looks over the the stove top, the water must have boiled for a long time, because there is barely any water left. He can only laugh and then says, "Let's get you some food." The two releases each other, return back to their original plan. This time, Kao just cooks the ramen without letting Earth touching anything.

They enjoy their late night meal, heart wildly beating, forgetting the storm outside.
