—--------After the ball—----------
Mya is sitting on her bed thinking about her almost kiss as Adelaide goes on and on about the mysterious stranger. "His eyes Mya, His beautiful sea green eyes that light up the room he walks in." Adelaide sighs and sits on the bed.
"Wow Adelaide, you're really in love with him, aren't you." Mya says and stares off into space..
Adelaide rolls her eyes playfully, but the light blush on her cheeks betrays her. "I'm not! I can't be. I just met him. Things can't happen that fast, right?"
Mya shrugs. "It can. Especially with you." She waggles her eyebrows at her. Adelaide sighs, giving up, and flops backwards onto the bed, putting her face in the pillows.
"Oh shushhh!" she said, voice muffled by the pillows. "I saw you with that one guy. There seemed to be some serious flirting going on."
Mya laughs at how wrong she was. But she couldn't help but think, maybe she was right? It obviously didn't start out that way, but by the end... by the end it definitely seemed like he was flirting with her.
"Definitely no flirting" Mya says, not even believing herself. Adelaide smiles and turns to her. "Has Mya gotten her second crush." She teases. Mya furrows her eyebrows at her. "What do you mean second crush? I haven't even had a first crush."
"You know what I mean. The boy, who used to pull your hair and tease you? You definitely liked him. We both know it," Adelaide responds, smiling.
"No I did not." Mya scowls. "Let's just go to bed, mother said she had big news for us." Adelaide giggles. "Okay sure." She goes to her bed.
"Shut up" Mya says, laying down and hiding her face in her pillow.
—--------The next Day—---
"So why did Mother call us here" Adelaide says, standing next to Mya in the throne room.
"I'm...actually not sure." Mya admits. "Let's wait and see?"
Adelaide shrugs. "Alright. When did she say she'd be here?"
"Soon, like in the next five minutes," Mya responds.
Jungwon walks in, smiling. Niki walks in with his hands in his pocket, not a care in the world.
Mya immediately frowns when she sees them. "That's them Adelaide, the boys who teased us." Mya scowls.
Adelaide smiles slightly, before remembering why they didnt like them. She whispers out of the corner of her mouth to Mya. "I mean, they turned out kinda hot. Do you remember how old they are?"
Mya shakes her head. "No, i don't. Probably somewhere around our ages. I think one is a little older though."
Adelaide watches the two, eyes landing and staying on Jungwon.
Niki see's them and scowls, "Look Jungwon, That was the girl who teased me about being so tall." He motions to Mya. "And remember when that other girl teased you about being three years older than us." Niki says motioning to Adelaide. "Niki, that's in the past, maybe they've changed and they grew up gorgeous don't you think." Jungwon says looking Adelaide up and down.
She notices his action, and her eyes widen slightly. She turns away to hide the blush on her cheeks.
Niki, unaware of this exchange, responds to Jungwon. "I guess they could've turned out worse..."
Jungwon looks at him in shock. "Niki, that is not a nice thing to say!"
He rolls his eyes. "Whatever."
Mya scowls at Niki, looking him up and down, eyes lingering on his broad shoulders and slim waist a little too long.
He smiles at her slightly, the corners of his mouth tilted up in a smirk. Mya rolls her eyes, pretending like she totally wasn't just checking him out.
Just then, Adelaide and Mya's mother walks into the room. The eye-flirting stops then, and everyone turns to look at her.
She stops in the middle of the room, where the others are waiting. "So, you're probably all curious about why I brought you here."
They all nod in agreement, quiet while she talks.
"Well, as you might know, one of our rival kingdoms, Lendora, is threatening to invade Winchester, and in order to keep the crown prince safe-" She nods to Jungwon. "He and his step brother will be staying here for a while."
Right at those words, Adelaide's brain makes a connection. Wait a second, so the boy she danced with last night was the one who teased her about her crush when she was little? Her eyes narrow as she studies him again, a new opinion of him fresh in her brain.
Jungwon studies Adelaide for a moment. Isn't that the beautiful girl he danced with? She was way more beautiful without the mask. He looks her up and down multiple times, mesmerized by her beauty.
Mya has a realization, the boy she had danced with was the same boy from her childhood. Dang it, why'd he have to be so hot? Mya quickly shakes her head, clearing those disturbing thoughts.
Niki quickly studies Mya. She had turned out so beautiful, but he couldn't meet her eyes for a second without her glaring back at him.
Mya and Adelaide's mother continues. "Since all the rooms are currently full, we've decided that Jungwon will be staying with you, Adelaide, and Niki will be staying with you, Mya."
Mya and Adelaide had two, VERY different reactions to their mothers words. Adelaide's face went bright red, and her eyes flicked to Jungwon, who smiled back at her. Mya, on the other hand, frowned, looking at Niki with a suspicious look on her face.
Their mom was still speaking, and they both snap back to attention. "Is that alright with you both?" she asks.
Adelaide nods, face still red, eyes still trained on Jungwon, but Mya protests. "Why do I have to share my room? I barely even know him. Do we have to sleep in the same bed?!" She asks, shocked.
Their mother shakes her head. "We can put in another mattress, if you really want to."
"No" Niki protests, realizing this is a great way to get on her nerves. Mya scowls at him trying to rid her mind of all the thoughts of what could happen if they shared not only a room, but a bed.
"Now go to your rooms, it's getting late." Their mother says, then walks away.
A/n How was that, Bye my Purple Raindrops 💜
