^Eldira's caravan and the back half of the inside

Chapter 4: The First Meeting

Eldira's POV:

Today is the first day that we are preforming in town.  We just finished setting up and I get ready to dance. 

As the familiar tune starts I move my body to the beat, expressing every tune and getting lost in the rhythm.  I am taken out of my trance when I hear the music die down and the roar of the crowd, that I hadn't noticed gathering, as we all took a final bow.

Afterwards I went into a back tent and changed into some street clothes.  I put on my white shirt that was like a loose cotton cap sleeve blouse on the top but on the bottom it fit to by body like a tank top. Then I put on a long layered green skirt that reached my ankles, finishing off my look with a dark brown waist sash and brown flats.

I grabbed my black shoulder bag purse and headed out to get some food.  Spotting a shop with some tasty food I went in and got a sandwich.

As I walked out of the shop I took a bite of a delicious sandwich, quickly going in for more.  This is a really good sandwich, I can't wait to finish it, maybe I can go back and get another one tomorrow? 

As I was about to take another bite, a rude jerk bumped into me and I let out an umph.  Oy! Who does he think he is making me drop my mouthwatering sandwich! 

As I looked up, I really saw his face for the first time. Oh my!  He is hot! NO, snap out of it you are mad at him Eldira.  He made you drop your food.  I was brought out of my rant when I heard him apologizing to me.

"I am so sorry! Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, but next time you should look at where you are going instead of dancing in la la land in your head" I mean seriously!  I had only four and a half bites before I lost my lunch to the ground.

I looked at him and took in his features more closely.  He had ocean blue eyes that glistened and made you want to stare at them forever.  He also had silky soft looking brown hair, long enough to put your fingers through.  His face was well defined with a nice sun kissed look.  He had a muscular looking body, but not too much so that it was bulky but it was highly toned.

When I looked back to his face I say that he was trying to secretly check me out. "Hey!  Are you done checking me out now?" I said with an amused smile, putting my hands on my hips and popping one.  What?  I may have also been checking him out but he doesn't need to know that.

He looked up surprised that I had caught him "Wa-what no I wasn't checking you out" he tried insisting.

"Okay, whatever you say big buy.  Anyways since you made me drop my food you get to buy me some more" I said pointing to the sandwich that he made me just drop.  I went to pick it up and then put it in a nearby rubbish bin.

"Fine, but since I'm buying I get to choose where, and I should know who I am buying food for instead of just a complete stranger" Ah, so he thinks that he can just buy me food and it will all just be hunky dory.  Well no!   Of course it is not but he is lucky that I am hungry today.

"Ok, where do you want to go, and by the way my name is Eldira, Eldira Moon"

"Well Miss. Eldira Moon would you like to accompany me to the Gift Bakery?" He says with a bow, smiling as he looks up.

"Why Yes I thing that would be lovely!" I say, playing into the part "Thank you ..."  Well gosh darn it I gave my name but I don't have his well hope he gets the hint.

"Caleb Rodrick" YES!  He got it, huh I guess guys are not as clueless as I thought they were.  Caleb, Caleb, Caleb... Where have I heard of that name before?

"Thank you Caleb"

Going into the shop we both get a turkey sandwich with lettuce, cucumbers, salt and pepper, vinegar, and tomatoes all on sour dough bread.  After getting our food we sat down and talked for what seemed to be a short time, since I was off from dancing for the rest of the day, but what turned into being hours. 

We were talking about our favorite color when I heard beeping coming from his phone.  Looking at my phone I realized that it was almost 6 o'clock.  Where did the time go? 

"Oh my, it has been hours I need to be getting back, and you should too."

"Ack!  You are right, my brothers will probably be going nuts!"  I had said that I was going to wonder around then come back and check in around 5:30.

As I was turning to leave he called out to me "Hey, mind if I get your number so that we might be able to do this again?"

"Sure" We exchanged numbers and I raced off to the booths.

When I got there I saw my brothers looking for me with worried faces.  "Hey!  I'm SO sorry that I am late I completely lost track of time.  Can you forgive me?"  I put on my puppy dog face that they can't resist.

"Eldira! Where have you been?"

"Oh you know walking around seeing the sights meeting new people" Well that is half true.  I did meet someone new, but I didn't see any sights.  Unless you count the inside of a bakery and some booths.

"Ugh, brother why do we still put up with her and all of her shenanigans?"

" I don't know maybe it's because she is a crowd pleaser?"

"Ooh ooh! And don't for get mom and dad are making us look after her."

"Ooooor it's because I'm your little sister whom you love with all of your hearts, and is just awesome!"

My brothers looked each other in the eyes and at the same time they turn towards me and said "Naw! That is just a silly reason!", but I knew that for the most part it was true because they were both grin smirking at me.

"Besides we all know that as the eldest I'm the most awesome out of us three" said Stefan

"No, haven't you heard of the saying first is the worst second is the best? Since I'm second I'm the best and therefore more awesome than you!  Besides you are only older by two minutes, TWO minutes!" said Nicu

"Boys, boys, we all know who takes the title of who is the awesomest, and that is me! Because if we continue with that saying that you said Nic then we will hear that third is the one with the treasure chest!  So HA!" And with that I turned around and happily skipped off to where our mother was cooking food.

Later that night as I was going to be I remembered my first day in the capital and how I met the blue eyed Caleb.  With that I started to drift off to sleep with images of blue eyes and thick dark hair.

Hey! So I first wanted to say again how sorry I am for up dating so late! But I am finally out on summer break so I have more time to do things such as write for chapters😉
