CHAPTER 16

GREEN LEMON

"Aside the Trinity, you're the first living creature who goes to the Mythical World called Virtual that Xi created before she died. But later, this world became invisible in everyone's eyes after her body disappeared. And that's the reason why you're here in front of us, "King Bernian said in his very deep and serious tone. His voice seems so dark because of the thickness of it, that even if he is not that serious you will be terrified because of the authority that his voice has.

"Hearlet, they knew it?" I asked through my mind. I felt that my heart skipped a beat.

"Yes. It's because they knew that this would happen anytime in this generation. But they didn't expect that you're the one they are looking for," she responded.

"I'm the one they are looking for? For what?" My brows suddenly arched.

"That's why you are here, to know everything," she said before I felt that my head suddenly hurt.

I bit my lower lip because of the aches.

"Hearlet!" I called her once again but she never responded already. So I guess she already left my mind kaya bigla itong sumakit.

"What do you mean, your highness?" I asked in confusion. Ayaw ko man sanang magtanong kasi natatakot ako sa kaniya, pero wala akong alam sa mga nangyayari ngayon. I'm really confused.

"This!" May hawak-hawak siyang isang piraso ng papel na mukhang luma na dahil halos nangitim na ito.

"What's that, your highness? I don't really get it. I'm sorry, but can you just go straight to your point? I don't really understand.”  scratched my head before smiling rawly at him. 

I know that I did the wrong move, but I can't take it anymore. I need to ask questions so that I can understand better.

Pero agad kong napansin ang biglaang pag-tahimik ng lahat. Tiningnan ko si Scarlet, pero nakayuko siya at hindi ko maka-usap, kaya ibinaling ko ang tingin kay Yazenth.

"Did I do something wrong?" I whispered to Yazenth but she just looked at me with his expressionless look that scared me. Yes, his expressionless look is dangerous for me because I can’t predict what’s running through his mind. He's the only one who scares me with that look.

"Okay, what a nice answer!" I forced a smile before I turned my gaze at the girl near King Bernian. Kanina ko pa kasi siya napapansing nakatingin sa akin, at hindi ko alam kung bakit. May dumi ba sa mukha ko? Hindi ba bagay ang dress sa akin?

I smiled sparingly at her, as I scanned her face. Kamukha niya nang k'unti si Leaves. May pagkakahawig din siya kina Yazenth at Fin. Maybe she's God Rain sibling? Or one of their relatives? I don't know. I might ask it later to Scarlet, alam kong kilala niya dahil mukhang mataas ang katungkulan ng babae rito.

But the thing that impressed me is her beauty and how she wears the green long dress. She's indeed a Goddess, and she might be the Goddess of Beauty or Nature because of her looks. I also notice the strange strength coming from her. She seems so powerful. She may have been among the Neonian Gods and Goddesses since she was next to the throne of King Bernian, who was with the second largest throne next to the most powerful creature, Alpha Goddess Hely.

"Moreover . . ." King Bernian immediately caught my attention so I looked at him seriously.

"This paper is not just a paper. It contains a fact that was recently opened, and it is because of you—"

"Me? Why me, again? I don’t remember having that paper in me. I didn’t do anything! ”I frustratedly said the reason why he stopped speaking.

"Are you done?" the King asked.I don't know but it sounds so sarcastic so I suddenly fell silent and clung very tightly to the throne I was sitting on. Pakiramdam ko kasi ay parang anumang saglit ay kakainin ako ng lupa.

"Okay, so if you have nothing to say already, I will continue now," he said in authority while looking at me so I sat down properly.

"This piece of paper is from the Arceus Book of Prophecy. Xi gave it to me before she died of something that no one knew what and why. She knew all this would happen, so she prepared and told everything to Alpha Goddess Hely. That in this generation, the most powerful Goddess will be born, who's destined to be my inheritor of the Royal Throne.” He stared at me seriously that made me chuckle." I know you know who I'm referring to, "he continued.

I immediately nodded.

"Xi also said that there will be a chosen key to know everything, the truth and past, but we didn't know kung ano ang tinutukoy niya. Until the most powerful Goddess was born, but she was taken by a shadow that we couldn't know. So we seek truths about what really happened to her, and there we found and realized everything that Xi was talking about before." The King looked at the girl I was looking at earlier.

"That's the reason why we stopped finding her," he said so calmly to the girl beside him. And I immediately noticed the tears that flowed down the woman's cheek.

"Ha? I don't really get it," I whispered.

"She's Infinity and Leaves' mother," Scarlet whispered back.

Tumango-tango ako sa nalaman. "I see," I simply said while looking at the girl who's about to sobbed but she refused it.

"Recently something happened that we did not expect, where time stopped for the first time after a million years. And at the same time is the openness of the truth written in this paper, where it says that the creature that Xi was referring to has arrived, and it is you, Green who grew up in the world of mortals,” he magically said. I could feel my heart beating fast.

Pero bakit ako? P'wede namang iba na lang, kasi ano'ng alam ko rito? I'm just here because of my parents. I just want to get the justice they deserved.

"So you're saying that I'm the Key of Past and Truth? But wait . . ." I stood up. Something just suddenly flowed through my mind.

"Why don't you just go to the Tree of Truth and Past if you really want to know everything you want about what happened to Infinity? You just need to pass a portal, and in just a blink of your eyes, you are in front of that tree already. You're powerful enough to do that, right? Also, I didn't use anything to go there, so I know you can go there too, so the problem is solved, right?” I confidently said and I smiled broadly before sitting down again.

"You're so dumb! Aren't you listening? "I heard Yazenth whisper.

I immediately turned my gaze at him. "How dare you to say that? Of course, I’m listening, kaya nga nag-suggest na ako ng magandang plano, ‘di ba? Hindi mo ba narinig?" I asked as I rolled my eyes.

"Right, you’re not really listening. Virtual World is invisible to everyone's eyes, gets?" he said sternly causing me to be stunned and suddenly wondering if they had said anything like that before.

"Fvck, self!" I mentally cursed. He's right, I'm not really listening. Sobrang confident ko pa naman sa suggestion ko kanina Argh!

“I think you have a point, but that’s unlikely to happen like Yazenth told you. But if all that could happen, you probably wouldn't be here in front of us, and we wouldn't have to worry about what would happen in the next generations,” King Bernian said.

I forced a smile at him. Parang gusto ko na lang maging kamatis dahil sa kahihiyang ginawa ko. Akala ko pa naman ma-i-impress sila. Pero gumawa lang pala ako ng kahihiyan sa sarili.

"Going through, whether you like it or not, Green. You're the key to find the truth and past of Infinity. You could do nothing about it because it was destined to happen. And no doubt that you've been chosen to become the key because we saw your performance in Royal Academy. You're a powerful enough for this journey, and all you need to do is— "

"Wait . . .” I started. “Sorry for interrupting you, your highness. Pero hindi naman yata p'wede na diktahan ni'yo ako kung ano ang dapat kong gawin After all, it's my life, so I will do whatever I want. If I don't want to obey what you wanted to happen, then it's not my fault already. Because in the first place, I didn't wish to become what you called key of past and truth. I'm here for a reason — no, I'm here because of my own reason.” I seriously said.

Well, to be honest, I went in this world because I am seeking justice for the death of my parents, and I do not want to get involved in the troubles that are happening in this world.

Pero naramdaman ko bigla na tumahimik ang paligid. I wanted to shut my eyes and ears close because I didn’t want to see and hear what would happen next.

"You are heartless!" Yazenth exclaimed, and my brows narrowed as I looked at him.

"Seriously? I'm a heartless?" I sarcastically laughed. "Wait, ha? I just want to clear these things. Bago ako napunta rito sa mundo ni’yo ay nangyari na ang lahat ng iyon. Kaya ano pa ang pakialam ko, ‘di ba? Also, I don't want to add to my thoughts, because honestly. . ." I suddenly stopped, until I felt hot tears flows down my cheeks, but I closed my eyes tightly to stop it and just wiped immediately.

"I will search for the truth in what happened to Infinity, but I can’t solve my own problem? Yazenth, I have a lot to prioritize over finding things I have nothing to do with. Pero sabihin ni'yo lang kung may magagawa tayo ngayon para ilipat ko ang pagiging key of the past and truth ko sa iba o sa iyo na handang gawin ang pinagagawa ni’yo kasi willing din akong ilipat ito ngayon kung gusto ni'yo!" I gasped as I closed my fist.

Naramdaman kong nagbago ang atmosphere namin. Isa itong senyales na anumang oras ay may masamang mangyayari. This is the storm, so I intervened suddenly.

"You're unbelievable! How do you say that? The future of the Therra Universe depends on Infinity, and that includes the world you come from. So we need to find the truth and the past about what happened to her, so we know what to do next!” He smirked, the deadly smirked he rarely does, so I fought the urge to bite my fingers in uneasiness.

"Yes, I'm unbelievable because despite everything that happened to me, I'm here fighting and growing strong. Pero hindi ko na responsibilidad ang gusto ni'yong mangyari. I just want a peaceful life, pero ipinagkait ni'yo iyon sa akin. You don't know what happened to me, Yazenth. Hindi ni'yo alam kung ano ang pinagdaan ko sa buhay. Kaya 'wag kang magsalita ng ganiyan!"

My body suddenly twitched. I really felt the tension between us. It seems like any time we will be hurting each other in front of the highest and most powerful Gods and Goddesses. 

"I'm so sorry to tell this, but I need to go. I have my own problems to deal with. Hindi na rin ako babalik pa sa Royal Academy. Let me do what I want to do with my life because you don't know how much pain I'm carrying!" I almost shrieked. I wanted to yell at him in frustration, but I couldn’t, so a tear escaped to my eyes before I ran away and out of the hall while holding the hem of my dress.
