~Day before her parents died~

I woke up this morning in my blue and purple bedroom, that mi tía Roxie and mi mamá designed for me as tía Roxie and her familia live a few blocks away, I look on my nightstand at the picture of mi familia y mi amigo - Lee, all together, smiling happily- apart from Lee and I as we were laughing, it was taken a week ago, form order of us standing it was; at the back mi abuela, mi abuelo, grandma and grandpa, in the middle row it was mi papa, mi mamá, mi tía Roxie and mi tío Lenny, and finally in the front it was Greg, Keithie, little 7-month-old Becky in her chair and me then Lee on the other side.

It was taken on my birthday so we had party decorations behind us and Becky had a really cute dress on while Lee, Greg and Keithie were in a dress shirt and trousers along with mi abuelo, grandpa, mi papa and mi tío Lenny and then mi abuela and grandma had nice summer dresses that reached the floor and mi mamá and mi tía Roxie were wearing matching dresses that they made- they were playing their identical twin antics, me however I was in my favourite blue short-sleeved top, light wash skinny jeans and a thin white cardigan.

Lee and I were laughing because of mi papa y mi tío Lenny making weird noises such as blowing raspberries, buzzer noises and mimicking different types of alarms, but Lee and I were the only ones, other than mi mamá y mi tía Roxie that heard the noises but they were both used to mi papa y mi tío Lenny's silly antics.

"Rose, honey, time for breakfast." I was so deep in thought that I didn't hear mi papa walking to my room and knocking at my door, I only knew he was there because he opened the door to see that I was looking at the picture, I looked over to him, to see him smiling at me from the doorway.

"Okay papa, I'll be down in a minute, I just have to wash, get dressed and brush my teeth and then put my tooth brush and things I want to take with me to tía Roxie's house for the weekend." I told papa with a slight nod of my head, he gave me a small smile as he walks over to me to give me a hug. "Papa, I have to go and wash and put things on my bag for tía Roxie's house." I said to mi papa, trying to get out of his hug. It worked after five minutes. "I will be down as soon as I finish." I explained, while pushing mi papa out of my bedroom.

"Okay, mija just be quick before your mamá and I come back up here to drag you down." Mi papa said, when I was closing my bedroom door. I go to my wardrobe to pick out my outfit for today- a white long-sleeved top, light blue skinny jeans, a red and brown flannel and black knee-length leather boots with a locket that has a smaller version of the picture on my nightstand inside.

I then went into my bathroom and did my morning routine and brushed my hair, grabbing a hair tie before packing my toothbrush, toothpaste, brush, pajamas and change of clothes as well as a formal dress into a small suitcase to take to tía Roxie's house, and started going downstairs, stopping in the living room where mamá and papa were sitting, going through old photo albums that mamá has had since she and tía Roxie were little, tía Roxie having exact replica books and mamá having replicas of the ones tía Roxie made, they show baby photos of them and shows different moments as they grow up, there are even photos of their first dates, weddings, first baby scan pictures and first photos of my cousins and so on, all the way up to my birthday a couple days ago.

"Buenos días, mamá can you do a french plait in my hair, por favor?" I said sitting next to them, mamá nodded her head and motioned for me to turn around so she could do it, once she finished she gave me a small hug and kissed my forehead, I then got up saying a small 'gracias' and going into the kitchen to eat my breakfast at the table top we had in there.

Once I was done, I put my dishes by the side of the sink and went to take my suitcase to the front door, mamá and papa were standing at the front door when I reached the bottom of the stairs when I came down, smiling at me, I was going to mi tía Roxie's house because I along with the rest of the cast for Iron Man for the premiere, I played Thalia Ciara Stark daughter of genius Tony Stark and twin sister of Thomas 'Tommy' Howard Stark who is played by Lee, so I got to work with a lot of experienced actors and learn different tricks and techniques from them, and I invited tío Lenny, tía Roxie, Rita, Greg, Keithie and Becky to go with me because I was going to spend the weekend with them anyway and tío Lenny is my agent, so it was really coincidental.

"Come on mija, we have to get to tía Roxie y tío Lenny's house so you can be on your way for tomorrow. I am so proud of you mija, you really did well with school and filming, you will be a beautiful and talented young woman when you are older." Mamá told my when I reached then and she and papa gave me a hug and we were off, walking the couple of blocks to get to tía Roxie's house, one thing you have probably noticed by now is the fact that mamá, papa and I sometimes use the Spanish words for certain things, that's because mamá is Mexican-American and papa is Spanish-American so since I was really little I have been learning Spanish and just sometimes slip into Spanish out of habit, like when tía Roxie is mad, she starts saying things in fluent and should not be repeated Spanish.

When we reached tía Roxie's house, I rang the door bell and gave mamá and papa hugs, seeing as they had to go to work, mamá to the studio to design a new line of children's clothes- which most of the time when I was younger she would get me to model so I have experience in modeling and design as well as acting and papa to the police station- he's the chief of police. Rita- Greg, Keithie and Becky's nanny, opened the door for me, and smiled when she saw me.

"Hello, Rose, how are you today? Mr and Mrs Feder are in the living room, making sure they have everything, are you excited for the premiere?." Rita greeted me, like she usually does, she is also the only person I allow to call me Rose, everyone else either calls me Rose-Maria, Maria or Rosetta- which is also my stage name as well as one of my nicknames.

"I'm fine, Rita, how about yourself? I am really really excited about the premiere and I get to see the others again, I have everything here. I will leave this here so I can get it on the way out for when we leave and I will go see tía Roxie, tío Lenny, Greg, Keithie and of course little Becky." I replied politely to Rita, she is really nice and I don't like taking advantage of peoples kindness, so I do everything- well mostly everything, by myself because I am not aloud to use the oven on my own.

I walk into the living room after putting my bag into the lobby for the time being. "Tía Roxie, tío Lenny!" I exclaimed when I saw them, they turned towards me and smiled, as I ran over to them and gave them both hugs.

"Hello cariño, are you excited? I can't believe my little niece is growing up." Tía Roxie said, stroking my cheek as her eyes teared slightly, I swear she is more emotional than mamá sometimes.

"Yes, I am very excited tía Roxie, how are you? You look like your about to cry, ¿estás bien?" I answered her, stroking her cheek. like she was doing to me, tío Lenny started giggling, causing both tía Roxie and I to turn towards him, he stood there giggling slightly with Greg and Keithie giggling as well beside him.

"What are you giggling about Lenny?" Tía Roxie questioned her husband, as we both raised an eyebrow at him.

"It's just, you and Maria look and act so alike, it's like you two are either sisters or mother and daughter, rather than aunt and niece." Tío Lenny explained, Greg and Keithie nodding in agreement, tía Roxie and I turned to each other and we both also started giggling, causing little Becky, who was in her carrier to also start giggling at us.

"I have to agree with tío Lenny on that, but I think it is because mamá and you are so close and are identical twins, so that you naturally also had a strong bond with me, tía Roxie, but I got my looks from you and mamá as well." I told her still slightly giggling and walked over to Becky, tickling her belly slightly, smiling at her as she laughed.

"How do you have such a good bond with Becky, when she hardly ever laughs at things Greg and I do?" Keithie questioned me, coming over and giving me a hug, to which I returned. I shrugged my shoulders once he let go, looking at Becky again to see her little face smiling brightly at me.

"I honestly don't know, probably because I'm the only prima she has, while everyday, she has to deal with dos hermanos." I said to Keithie, causing tío Lenny to laugh full-heartedly and Greg and Keithie to laugh sarcastically. So, I turned to Greg, and raised an eyebrow at him. "Where's my hug from you, Greg?" I asked him, he smiled at me sarcastically and came and gave me a side hug and a kiss the temple of my head, like he always does.

"I can't believe, that little Rose-Maria Cortez, is a famous actress, attending her own premiere tomorrow and that was just because you started begging me to be an agent for you." Tío Lenny said, it was true, I did literally beg him to be my agent and then after about two months he agreed to it. I smiled at him and got up to hug him again.

"Should of known that I was going to pester you at one point to be my agent, tío Lenny and so, I thank you for doing that, without you agreeing, I wouldn't of been able to work with Marvel and experienced actors and actresses or meet one of my best friends. Muchas gracias tío Lenny." I said, my head slightly buried in his chest because I am tall for my age, like mamá and tía Roxie were when they were younger. He chuckled a little bit, rubbing my back- probably having a smile on his face.

"It's okay cariño, now lets get these bags into the car and get to New York for your premiere. Everyone get your carry on bags and suitcases and get your butts in the van." Tío Lenny said, ushering us to the car, as we all walked past the door, they all grabbed their bags- apart from tía Roxie as she was carrying Becky. Once we all got into the car, all us kids as well as Rita and tía Roxie got comfortable for the couple hour drive to the airport where the private jet is waiting to take us to New York along with Lee as he was meeting us at the airport.

~Skip car ride~

We just arrived at the airport to see crowds of at least one hundred Marvel fans crowding around the airport doors, around a particular light brown headed boy, the boy happening to be Lee.

We got out of the car and started towards Lee after some staff from the airport grabbed our bags, we fought our way through the crowd of Marvel fans, Lee and I signing some things along the way as we made our way to the security checks.

We got through security with no problem and quickly made our way to the private jet Robert (RDJ) sent for us.

Once we were in the jet, Keithie, Greg, Lee and I all had a look around and chose to sit towards the middle of the seating area on the left, while tío Lenny, tía Roxie and little Becky sat on the right and Rita sat behind us kids so she could keep an eye on us during the flight to New York.

As the jet started to take off, we all started talking about how excited we were to finally watch the finished product of the film.

"I can't wait to see the film with all the FX added in and all the scenes they did when we weren't there." Lee said as he started to jitter excitedly in his seat, I nodded in agreement with him.

"I know, but I also can't wait to see how they managed to cg the suit around Rob when he's in the air." I added after a moment, "But I also can't wait to see everyone again after three months." I added as an after thought.
