4 Khushi Gupta

Part4 Khushi Gupta (Long update)

Vikhroli, Mumbai

Khushi told Hrithik about the warning about the woman PC. Hrithik and his mother Durga were horrified.

"What she said is not an exaggeration, Khushi beta. Ishan is a dangerous fellow. Please don't take him lightly. He is a beast" Durga warned.

"Yes, Khushi... there is nothing to wonder if police support him because he has such a criminal history," Hrithik said.

"Do you want me to run away?" Khushi asked annoyed.

"No... make yourself safe... At first, they won't kill you. You are a woman. They will do much worse than death."

Khushi looked at him shockingly.

'Don't think I'm degrading you. being your friend, I know your ability but, this is not a time to act according to your arm power. This is a time to think wisely... act accordingly... hide yourself form their eyes... hide your bike too"

"No... sale it. without a bike, I feel powerless. Sale it and buy a women's kind of bike"

"That will be a great idea. I will bring you a burqa. It will keep you away from their eyes. Please be careful"

"I don't care about myself, Hrithik but about you. I don't want you and aunty to face problems because of me"

"No, Khushi beta you should also care for yourself... to find your sister... didn't you say, she has no one other than you?"

"I'm losing my hope aunty... don't know where is she. The police department who should find my sister turned against me for money. They are ready to do anything for a criminal. I just can't believe all this. What kind of society is this? We are living in an unsafe world, aunty. The police are scared to even take about the criminals... Ishan... ASR..."

"Didn't Payal tell you anything about ASR in detail?"

"No aunty. It was her birthday. I called her to wish her as usual. She said she was in a relationship with ASR. It was a big blow to me. I never expected my sister would fall for a criminal. I started shouting at her, forgetting that it was her birthday. She went missing the same day"

"Didn't she call you again?"

"She did... she called me in the evening. I sensed an extreme nervousness in her voice. the only word she uttered was ASR... I'm sure he should be behind this. He should have done something to her. that's what she wanted to convey to me that day"

"Khushi, the much we know, ASR is not that kind who entertains girls. No one knows how many houses he has in Mumbai... where he stays... how he looks... no one knows..." Durga said.

"What's your point aunty?"

"Being a working woman, I heard many things about him... our office staff discuss the headlines of the newspapers every day..."

Cutting her,

"But, it was my sister who told me about her relationship with him, aunty... do you say she lied?"

"I don't know what to say... maybe, it's a misunderstanding..."

"How could you say that, aunty? My sister loved him"

"I don't know how ASR loved your sister, coming out of the protective shield. Do you think he doesn't have the guts to take her to his place and declare it in public?"

Khushi became confused.

"Only your sister can clear your doubt...What else could I say?" Durga said.

Khushi looked at Hrithik,

"Please sale my bike and get me one"

"It's not a big deal... one of my friends will buy it"

Khushi nodded ok and went in. Durga sighed.

"I don't know what to say..."

"Mom, this is a matter of ASR. I tried my best to explain the depth of the problem but she is stubborn in her point because her sister confirmed the relationship between her and ASR. This problem will not solve until her sister is found"

"Yeah... another person who could clear her doubt is ASR and he is in the place no one could reach... don't know how this problem will end. Poor Khushi... she is distraught, not finding her sister" Durga felt bad.

"I will give this bike to my friend. It's not safe to keep it here"

Durga nodded ok and Hrithik went taking the bike.

...........

NK got the address of the biker girl. NK rushed to Arnav. Seeing Arnav on call, NK waited. Arnav raised his brows while talking on the phone. NK showed the address paper to Arnav.

"Ok... tell me the matter"

"......."

"No problem... I will handle it"

"..........."

"No one will dare enter my vicinity. I will take care of it. Bye"

Arnav disconnected the call. Taking the address from NK's hand, Arnav gave it a look.

KHUSHI GUPTA

142, GOLDDUST ROAD,

VIKHROLI, MUMBAI.

There was a mild smile on his face while reading the address. KHUSHI GUPTA... the way she got down from the bike stylishly. The way she kicked the guy, the way she advised the girl everything flashed in his mind.

"We are going," NK said.

"She should not miss from our hands... more than that, Ishan should not get her. make sure of it" Arnav said.

"Sure Nannav"

"Will you do it, or should I come with you?"

"Don't underestimate me, Nannav. I will surely bring her"

"Mmmm... take our men"

"Yup"

NK went to Vikhroli with his men to bring Khushi to their place.

In the meanwhile,

Commissioner office

Aman Mathur was sitting in the police conference with other officers of Mumbai city.

"In the past year, 97 victims are missing in Mumbai city. We have not gotten a single clue about them... No one knows where are they... what was happening to them... who is kidnapping them... what are we doing?" the commissioner said.

The officers are silent. That was usually happening at every conference. The only difference was, the number of missing people was increasing at every meeting.

"Do you know what kind of pressure I'm facing? Media is exaggerating the issue... they name us useless..."

"Excuse me, Sir..." one of the Assistant commissioners of the crime branch stood up.

All the officers turned their heads toward him.

"There is a correction in the calculation sir... the victims are only 48, and the remainings are goons... they are terrific criminals..."

"So? So what? Where are they?"

"Wherever they are... what's us lose in that, sir? there is nothing to be worried about. In fact, we should feel happy because Mumbai city is becoming calm with their absence."

"What's your point, Mr. Varma?"

"They are not a kid who could be kidnapped, giving chocolates, Sir"

The officers laughed.

"They are killers, kidnappers, robbers, we should not waste our time on them, sir... we should concentrate on only the public. I suppose"

"Understand your responsibility, Mr. Varma. According to us, everyone is public. We are here to protect everyone. We should not be partial to them. We are policemen. Get them arrested and punish them lawfully instead, don't think like a movie hero" the commissioner said. There were many chuckles escaping from the officers.

"Work on it..." the commissioner left.

The officers started adjourning, talking with one another.

"Well said, Varma" Aman shook hands with him.

"Then what? Is it necessary to find criminals? Bloody hell... whoever is kidnapping them, he must be a superhero"

"I think the commissioner sir wants to know who the superhero is. That's why he is screwing us up"

"There are hundreds of pending cases on my table. On which I would concentrate, criminals or public?"

"The commissioner sir wants us to concentrate on both" Aman said.

"To do all of them, the angels should come to the earth from heaven," Varma said wearily.

"Maybe, the commissioner thinks we are angels" Aman laughed.

Vikhroli

Hrithik went to meet his friend who was ready to buy Khushi's bike. As he liked the bike, Hrithik gave it to him immediately because keeping the bike in his house won't be safe for them. He came to buy a burqa for Khushi.

When he entered into his lane, he saw some men inquiring about Khushi.

"Khushi Gupta... she rides a bike," NK asked an old man.

Hrithik ran his eyes on NK who looked stylish with a brown jacket and Raybon sunglasses. He was alarmed. They must be Ishan's men. Didn't the woman PC say they were searching for Khushi? He ran to his house through the shortcut. He saw Khushi chitchatting with Durga. Removing the burqa, he stuffed it in her hand.

"Wear it... quick" he said panting hard.

"what happened? Khushi asked while wearing it.

"Ishan's men are here... leave the place as of now. Come here after I call you" he removed money from his pocket and stuffed it in Khushi's hand.

"Go Khushi," Durga said panicking.

Khushi left the place in the opposite direction of NK's gang. Durga went to the kitchen and pretended like, making tea whereas Hrithik went to the washroom to make himself up.

Durga opened the door, without showing her fear. She saw a smart-looking guy standing.

"Jee?"

"I would like to meet Khushi Gupta"

"Khushi? She is not here..."

"Where is she?"

"She went to Delhi"

"Delhi?"

"Yeah, that's her native" she changed Khushi's native as she didn't want Khushi to get the problem.

"When did she go?"

"Today morning"

"Where is her bike?"

"She sold it out"

"But she roamed in her bike till yesterday..."

"Yeah, she was keeping it for her own use, even after selling it"

"Oh... who you are to her?"

At the same time, Hrithik came from the washroom.

"Who is this, Mom?"

"He is here to meet Khushi"

"Khushi? How do you know Khushi?" Hrithik asked.

"My sister wants to learn bike riding. I saw Khushi riding it simply. So, thought to get her help" NK said.

"Oh..."

"You?" NK asked.

"She is my friend... she was here for a project. As it finished, she went back" Hrithik said the same story as he heard when Durga said to NK.

NK sighed and came out. Hrithik sat on the bed huffing.

"Unbelievable..." Said Durga.

"What Mom?"

"I thought they will torture us to know Khushi's whereabouts but they didn't. they believed what we said... How? I don't understand..."

Hrithik became thoughtful. Yes, Durga was right. Ishan was a heartless man who won't hesitate to cut people into pieces. How did his men simply leave them?

NK called Arnav who was waiting for NK's call. He attended the call immediately.

"Did you get HER?" he asked plainly not showing any expression in his voice but NK's reply changed his facial expression.

"No, Nannav... she is not in Mumbai. she went back to Delhi today morning"

"Who said?"

"She was staying in her friend's house for a project it seems. As her project was completed, she went to Delhi, selling her bike"

"Selling her bike?" Arnav frowned.

"Yes, Nannav..."

"Something is fishy..."

"Why?"

"If she would have come to Mumbai for a project, why did she buy a bike for herself? Without her friend's help, where did she go in the new city? No friend who knows very well about Mumbai city would not allow his friend to roam alone."

"Exactly, Nannav..."

"Ask our man to watch their house. She is in Mumbai only... I want her" he disconnected the call.
