13 Akash Singh Raizada
Part 13 Akash Singh Raizada
Though Arnav didn't look at Khushi his concentration was completely on them. She was asking a lot of questions to NK who was struggling to answer her.
"What's your business?" she asked.
"No business"
"Then what these guards are here for?"
"To secure this place"
"You are doing nothing then what's there to secure?"
"As of now, I have no answer to your questions"
"I'm bored like hell you know?" Khushi pouted.
"Won't you watch TV?"
"How long could I watch TV? In fact, it's more boring..."
"What would you do in your free time?"
"I read books"
"What kind of books?"
"Politics and communism"
Not only NK but also Arnav wondered.
"Really?"
"Really, I don't like politics and communism... I read all the books except them" she laughed.
NK rolled his eyes whereas Arnav smirked.
Arnav stood up, as he finished eating.
"There are a few books in Nannav's room. you can take them if you want" NK said looking at Arnav.
Arnav nodded ok and left the place. Khushi ate hurriedly.
"Let's go" Khushi stood up.
NK brought her to Arnav's room. Arnav was not there in the room. Khushi saw four shelves of books. She took one in her hand. Her brows went up as if it was a science fiction book. At most, all the books were related to Science and research.
"What are these books for?" She asked with confusion.
"What kind of question is this Khushi? Books are obviously to read..."
"Who read this book?"
"Who else? Nannav... and, I too read sometimes..."
"What's your designation?"
"I'm M.Sc. Zoology and Nannav completed M.Sc. Biochemistry and Ph.D. in Genetics"
Khushi's shock was not estimated. Was he a doctorate in Genetics? She could not believe it. being unimaginably awesome graduates, why did they roam in the name of gangsters?
NK flicked his fingers to get her out of the shock.
"You guys are educated... then why did you turn into gangsters?"
NK smiled slightly.
"I just can't understand why are you guys doing this" Khushi said wearily.
"Don't you like any books here?" NK asked not answering to her question.
Khushi pulled a book from the shelf. It was Stephen Hawking's Black Holes. She sighed and showed it to NK.
"Wow... it's an interesting book... you won't even sense the time passing" NK said excitedly.
Khushi rolled her eyes and walked out. When she came out, she saw Arnav standing, leaning on the wall.
"It seems you are brilliant. Can't you use your brilliance correctly?" she said furiously.
"I'm doing the same..." Arnav said coolly.
"Being a gangster... right?"
"Do you see that?"
"Guards with guns... lonely bungalow in between the city... always the headlines of the news... what's all this then?"
"Shah Rukh khan..."
"Whaaaaat?"
"His guards have guns in their hands... he too has a lonely bungalow in the city... always occupies the headlines... is he a gangster?" Arnav asked teasingly.
"Don't play your word game with me... just because you won the argument, whatever you are doing can't be right"
"According to you, it may be wrong"
"According to the whole world what you are doing is wrong"
"Do you have faith in God?"
"whaaaat?"
"No one can be good to the whole world... not even God... I'm a simple man... who is giving my best to the world"
"BEST? And you? Huaa...."
"NK, take your friend... she looks heated up" Arnav smiled.
Khushi was supposed to go to her room, but she heard a siren sound. She stopped and looked at the main gate. As she expected, the siren sound stopped when the ambulance came close to ASR's vicinity. The ambulance entered in without making a noise. Khushi looked behind, turning her head but she didn't find Arnav and NK there. She rushed to Arnav's room and searched for them but they were not found. She could not see the ambulance from the place she was standing. So, she run to her room and looked through the window. The wall of the building opened his mouth to swallow the ambulance, just like, it did the last time. She looked inside the building through the gap, sharpening her eyes. But she could not see anything through the gap. She again came out of the room and headed to Arnav's room. She saw him, going through a book like a good student.
"Where did you go?" She asked.
"Where did I go? I'm just here" Arnav said.
"Lie... you are lying... I didn't see you here"
"You didn't see me here, it's not my fault..."
"What's the ambulance doing here?" She asked.
"Which Ambulance?" there was no tension on Arnav's face.
"I saw an ambulance coming to this vicinity not one time but two times..."
"Really? Call me when you see the ambulance for the third time..." Arnav walked out.
Khushi stood, running her eyes on the bookshelf. She saw a cupboard in the room and something clicked in her mind. She rushed to the cupboard and started searching in the cupboard. She thought she may get something in the cupboard, related to Payal. She searched in the cupboard while looking at the entrance cautiously. She found a diary. She hesitated to open it for a few seconds as reading someone's diary was not manners. But, she could not miss the chance to knowing about Payal. She opened the diary and got stuck, seeing a photo of a guy with spectacles. Akash Singh Raizada was written below the photograph.
Khushi frowned. Who was this Akash Singh Raizada? Who was he to Arnav? Where was he? Khushi was standing, thinking about Akash Singh Raizada. She didn't notice the man who strode towards her. She hid the diary behind her, seeing Arnav. Clutching her hand, he pulled out the diary.
"Reading someone's diary is not manners"
"I didn't read it..." she said looking somewhere"
"You said I'm a lair... what are you now?"
"I said I didn't read the diary"
"Then what were you doing opening it?"
"I thought it must be your diary"
"Oh... do you think you don't need manner to read my diary?" he asked sarcastically.
"What else would be there in a gangster's diary except for a few smugglers' contact numbers and details...?"
"Were you working as a diary writer of a gangster...? You are talking like an experienced diary reader"
"I watched it in many movies"
"Movies are not completely correct..."
"But, not completely incorrect too..."
"Yeah... they don't show the original picture..."
Khushi sighed and walked out of the room thinking about Akash Singh Raizada. She saw NK talking with a guard. She came to him. NK smiled at her as if nothing happened.
"Who is Akash Singh Raizada?" Khushi asked making NK and the guard stun.
NK gestured for the guard to leave. He nodded ok and went.
"How did you know about Akash?" NK asked.
"I saw his diary"
"But, his diary is in Nannav's room cupboard..."
Khushi rolled her eyes.
"Did you check his cupboard?" he asked.
"Answer me"
"He is Nannav's younger brother..."
"Where is he?"
"He is in the US"
"Oh... what is he doing there?"
"He is getting treatment there"
"Treatment? For what?"
"Cerebral hypoxia"
"Means?"
"It occurs when there is not enough oxygen getting into the brain"
"But, how did he got affected?"
"He met with an accident"
"Oh... is that curable?"
"It depends upon the case... Akash's case is not so serious. Nannav sent him to the US immediately for treatment. So, the risk factor lessened. He is getting improved slowly but steadily"
"That's nice by the way, what was his designation?" Khushi asked curiously as she wanted to know about him after knowing Arnav and NK.
"He is a computer Engineer"
"Wow... my sister is also a computer Engineer," Khushi said in a flow. She realized her mistake only when NK asked,
"Do you have a sister?"
Khushi got stuck. She didn't know whether she should tell him the truth. What if they became alert after knowing who she was?
"I mean, cousin sister"
"Oh..." NK said.
Khushi left the place plastering a smile. She knew NK was the only source for her to find Payal. At the same time, she was not sure whether she could let them know about Payal. She was confused.
To be continued...
