The fight between both of them ended with Junmyeon defeating Baekhyun, standing over him victoriously with a foot on his chest to keep him down. But once his victory was announced by Chanyeo, he lifted his foot and immediately offered his opponent a hand. Baekhyun would only look at him with hurt, and anger at himself for not being able to win.
Though Junmyeon wanted to help him up, Baekhyun refused and got up on his own, dusting himself off with his head down. Miran hurried to his side, feeling his frustration and placed a hand on his shoulder, her lips searching for his. But he was too upset in that moment to accept her comfort. He was upset because he had the upper hand at one moment. He had been the one to attack first.
He had used his knowledge of hapkido to his advantage until Junmyeon managed to turn things around in his favor, right when Baekhyun had been about to pin him down.
The other members as well as the Jackals celebrated modestly, except Miran who was left to console Baekhyun. Jongdae didn't want to approach him yet, unsure if Baekhyun would even want his comfort. But before he could get close to him, Junmyeon beat him to it. He pulled away from Chanyeol, Sehun, and the Jackals. Kyungsoo and Jongin weren't present--the first was no longer part of their pack and was a slave of the Coyotes, while the other was on his honeymoon and wouldn't be back for another few days. Junmyeon took a step towards Baekhyun, while his brother looked up at him through reddened eyes. He was trying very hard not to let his true feelings show.
Before saying anything, he grabbed Baekhyun and pulled him into a hug, taking him by surprise. Baekhyun was frozen in place, his arms doing no motions to hug him back. Junmyeon held him tightly in a genuine display of affection and said. "Light, you're my brother and I love you. We all do. The pack wouldn't be the same without you. Please say that you'll stay."
A sigh escaped from Baekhyun's lips and his arms slowly went around his hyung. "Thank you, hyung. I really needed to hear that." He admitted, something Miran already knew.
Chanyeol immediately made a teasing comment, trying to lighten the mood. "You're such an attention whore. Not only do we need to love you, but you need to hear it every so often too?" He scoffed loudly in mock annoyance. A smile made its way onto Baekhyun's face and he shot his friend a middle finger greeting, still hugging Junmyeon.
The two boys pulled away and Baekhyun's entire demeanor changed. Before he even said it, Miran saw it in his face. "I feel like a huge load was just lifted off my shoulders." He informed everyone, returning to Miran's side and wrapping an arm around her waist.
That was when Jongdae left Mariel's side and went to hug his former brother too. Standing next to him afterwards, he asked, "I'll be leaving for Japan tomorrow. If any of you would like to come, I know the rest of my pack would appreciate it."
Junmyeon gave a nod of his head. "I'll go. As my beta, Baekhyun will lead you in my absence."
Baekhyun turned towards him in surprise. "Even after everything, you want me to be your beta again?"
Junmyeon nodded once more.
"Well, sorry to disappoint you, alpha." He started, and he was even surprised how the word felt so natural to him, calling Junmyeon alpha. Like it was the position he was born to have from the very beginning. At his words, Junmyeon's expression dropped. But there was relief in his face when Baekhyun continued. "You'll need to appoint someone else the leader in your absence because I'm going to Japan with you. Wherever the alpha goes, the rest have to follow."
Chanyeol and Sehun nodded in agreement. "I'm going too." Each of them said.
Miran thought that things were going back to the way they should be.

Hella had met the girl who went by Silver, and she immediately liked her. She thought that was exactly the kind of person they wanted in her organization. But at the same time, her gut feeling told her that Silver was hiding something. Not just something small either, something big. Most people in the area didn't know her when she asked around, but that was accounted for.
Silver had explained that she had moved into the neighborhood recently. And Hella took it upon herself to follow her all night to see what she could dig up.
Their newest member spent most of her time at her apartment, and when she did go out, she went into Jackals territory to a known night club in the area. That didn't raise any suspicion in her either, since all she did was to have a few drinks. Then she left the club, Hella following after her without getting caught. Or so she thought. As they passed a rather lonely street, he seemed to come out of nowhere. On his face was already an expression that let her know he was about to mess up her plans.
"Why are you following that girl?" Chanyeol bellowed loudly, a smirk playing on his lips.
Silver immediately knew they were talking about her and looked back to see Hella walking a few feet behind her. She gasped and took off running, not recognizing the leader of the Panthers who had the hood of her sweater up over her head.
Once she was gone, Hella shot a glare at Chanyeol.
"I'm so close to killing you and dumping your body in a ditch." She said to him, a hint of a real threat underneath her tone.
He smirked at her, leaning against the wall of a building. He gave a nonchalant shrug of his shoulders as he pointed out, "That would be too much work for you, don't you think so, kitten? You would have to kill me, and considering I don't try to stop you, you'll have to find a ditch and dump me in it."
"It would be worth it." Hella replied, though she realized that she was growing a bit accustomed to his presence. But she would not let him know that. With a sigh, she added a question full of annoyance. "Don't you have somewhere to be? Other people to stalk or something?"
Chanyeol teased her. "No insult this time? I'm touched."
"Don't push your luck." She warned, crossing her arms over her chest.
When she thought about it, she thought that he was right. She was always running into him, without either of them trying to run into each other. It was all circumstantial. Hella was only there because she had been following Silver, the other times she had been trying to sell the fake drugs in a part of town that didn't belong to her pack. But it did appear like they were both trying to see each other. She then thought that if they had tried to meet up, it wouldn't have been so easy.
"Wanna kiss me?" Chanyeol blurted randomly, taking her by surprise. But the cocky smirk still remained on his face. "You might not see me again after tomorrow."
"I would hope so." She rolled her eyes at him, thinking he was joking.
"I'm serious." He said to her, the smile dropping slightly. When she eyed him with curiosity, he continued to explain. "I'm going with my brothers to Japan tomorrow. But it might be dangerous, and I might die. I haven't kissed a girl in a really long time...So can I kiss you? If you want to do more, I won't stop you."

i don't know anything about fighting, clearly. i have personally never fought someone in my life. i had friends and cousins who got into fights in middle school and high school, but nothing i experienced first hand. so there you have it. baekhyun lost and he took it quite well.
he even appeared relieved, or i tried to make it seem that way. because as we have all figured out, he never really wanted to be the alpha.
now the boys are gonna go save hani and the coven.
have a wonderful weekend!
