The Pack was ready to leave the next morning--with them was Min Hani. Everyone had gathered in the living room area of the house to say their goodbyes. But Junmyeon assured all of them that it wasn't the last they'd be seeing of each other. With their new formed alliance, he planned to see them as often as he could. He wanted to resume his friendship with Yifan after five years of not speaking to each other.
Hani had gone around hugging each member of the Coven with special care, since they had been her family of the last few months. She lingered a bit longer especially with her cousin Hyuna, since she had been the one to most be there for her when she needed someone. Hyuna had also been the one to contact Junmyeon secretly, per Hani's request. When she got to Yifan, he coughed awkwardly, unable to look her in the eyes at first. "I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused you and Junmyeon. I hope you can forgive me, and I hope we can be friends again." He said, with sincerity in his voice.
Hani gave a nod of her head and pulled the taller boys in for a hug. "I hope you found your true happiness, Fan." She said, looking to Sky who was standing behind him.
He smiled at her as they pulled away, a genuine smile, and he finally let her go. Both physically, and in his heart.
Yifan had rented a private plane for them to travel in, with all the luxuries. Over the last few days, he had gotten in contact with his business partners who had all thought him and his Coven as dead. Plans that had been halted proceeded, including one with Huang Zitao and Iva Petrova Fu. Now the leader of the Coven was once again pulling in money from his business and spared no expense to get his brothers back to Korea.
The flight had lasted two hours and the Pack was in Seoul by mid day. Minho had been waiting at the airport for them with a shuttle van to get them back to his house. He had been worried all the while they were in China because he knew the past between Hani, Junmyeon, and Yifan. He hadn't been convinced that the Coven's leader could have such a drastic change of heart. But it had turned out that way and Minho was grateful for that. They all piled into the van and arrived at the Jackals' house about a half hour later.
For the Coven it had been easy to get their lands back because when Shin gave up Mitsuki, he had stopped caring about the lands he took from his rivals. When it came to the Pack, the Hellcats were still occupying their lands and Junmyeon knew they would need to start a turf war with them for it.
As soon as they entered the house, there were the remaining members already waiting for them. Jongin, Jiyeon, Miran, and Darleen. Baekhyun's face lit up upon seeing Miran again after ten days in China. He weaved past everyone with surprising speed and pulled her into his arms, burying his face into the crook of her neck. His arms wrapped around her waist as he needily clung to her. "Next time alpha wants to go somewhere far away for a really long time, I'll fucking stay home. I missed you too much, baby."
Miran giggled at his words. "China is two hours away, Light."
"Still." He defended himself. Taking his girlfriend by the hand after they pulled back from their embrace, he excused himself with a bow of his head and a shameless smile playing on his lips. "If you'll excuse us, Miran and I have something very important to do upstairs." He took her by the hand and the two hurried off together in search of their bedroom.
Everyone knew what he actually meant. Sehun rolled his eyes. "I'm gonna go out for a run."

Once in the privacy of their bedroom, Baekhyun's lips were all over her, leaving fiery kisses on every piece of skin he could find. Miran pushed him back gently, half between wanting to stop him and not wanting to stop. "Light..." She started through their kisses. In a matter of seconds he had discarded his shirt and was tugging on the hem of hers. She tried again to pause, this time a bit louder and with more conviction. "Light, I need to tell you something important before we do this. Its really important."
He nodded his head quickly, half paying attention. His mind had gone into overdrive and he couldn't think of anything more. "Yeah, baby. Tell me." He encouraged her, his lips connecting with the skin on her neck. She subconsciously found herself tipping her head back to allow him better access.
She really didn't want to stop either, but the news that she had for him was important. And it was something that he really needed to hear. She grabbed his hands, which were at her waist and placed them at his side. That was when his senses came back and he caught on that something was off--not exactly bad or wrong, but it was something that needed his full attention. Once she had seen that he was absolutely focused, she began to explain. "Remember when you became the alpha, you showed me the rules of the pack?" He nodded his head slowly.
He had asked her to read up on the rules and sign if she agreed to them. The original twelve members had signed, and it only needed the signatures of the women members. But none of them had signed it yet. Not Hani, not Minha when she was alive, not Jagi, not Jiyeon, and not Miran. Baekhyun knew exactly why they had refused.
There was one rule they couldn't agree with.
Only the alphas can have kids.
Minha had defied the rule years back, and she had died before a decision could be made about her situation. She had broken a rule, and any member of the Pack who broke a rule was to be punished. Back then, Baekhyun had been willing to take on his alpha for Minha. The pregnancy hadn't solely been her doing. He refused to leave her alone with it.
Miran bit down hard on her lip, and she slowly drew something from the back pocket of her jeans. Baekhyun's eyes widened in surprise when he saw what it was. A pregnancy test with a + on it.
He felt his heart drop.
Not because he wasn't happy about having kids with Miran, but because it was a rule of their pack. They were no longer alphas and that meant they couldn't have kids. Baekhyun quickly thought to himself that it had happened while they were alphas, so that had to count for something. Maybe if he talked to Junmyeon about it, his leader would understand. He was a very understanding person.
"I never agreed to those rules." Miran reminded him, a bit hesitant because she wasn't sure about his reaction.
"I know." He nodded his head and heaved a sigh. "i'm just thinking that I'll look like a total dumb ass when I ask alpha to remove that rule because I was the one who suggested it in the first place."
