"Thank you have a nice day!" A blonde girl shouted out to a man who was walking away with an invention.
The girl turned around and snickered, "I can't believe that idiot payed so much money for that stupid invention!" She smiled.
Her best friend and her would rip people off with their inventions by making them pay way to much for something completely worthless, but hey, the two are both 13 and don't have their parents, so they need as much money as they could get.
"Constance! Come on! I need help on X16!" Her best friend, Septimus Rumbleton yelled.
"Coming Sep!" Constance yelled back.
'Sep' was her nickname for Septimus. She rushed to the back room off their small work shop.
She walked over to the table where Septimus was. He had his goggles on working on an unusual scroll looking cylinder.
      It was like a lamp and had a bright blue light glowing on the inside and copper cage looking materials round it and copper on the ends (practically the contraption on the right side of the picture).
     Septimus looked up and took off his goggles. Constance looked at him and smiled.
"So, what do you need help on?" She asked.
    "Well the light keeps flickering and I've tried everything," Septimus explained
"Oh well that's easy," Constance replied grabbing her goggles off the table.
     She screwed off the top of X16 and took two of the wires that were tangled together and untangled them, then she twisted them together and screwed the top back on. (A/N: I honestly do not know how things like that work so don't try that at home if you lights start flickering ok?)
     "There, now it works. But we should probably put a switch on it so it will turn on and off," Constance took off her goggles.
"Yeah, I was thinking the same thing," Septimus said stretching.
      "Think we should call it a night?" Constance asked.
"Yeah," Septimus yawned.
      It was about 11:00 at night and the two were tired.
They walked out of the shop and Septimus locked the door.
    "Hey Constance?" Septimus paused as if he were to nervous to ask the question, which he was, "Do ever wonder what happened to our parents?" He gulped hoping her reaction wouldn't be punching him in the face telling him to never ask a stupid question.
     "........Yeah.........." Constance said quite solemnly
"Oh! Hey! No no no! Don't be upset! I didn't want you to upset!" Septimus said frantically. 
     Constance looked up confused.
"He looks so adorable when he's worried!" Constance thought
    Then she realized he was now hugging her.
"I'm sorry for asking a stupid question," Septimus mumbled.
Constance blushed about 999 shades of red.
     Septimus was I lot taller that her which was good, because he wouldn't see her blush.
"I better not have a crush on this idiots!" Constance thought to herself.
     "Um....Septimus," she said looking up at him.
"Oh! Sorry! Again!" He said smiling nervously releasing her.
      "Septimus," She said sternly looking up at him, "never say your sorry to anyone," Constance looked at him with a look in her eyes he couldn't read.
     "Y-yeah, right!" Even though she was shorter that Septimus she could be scary.
"Now let's get home!" Constance said cheerfully.
