Prologue
3rd POV
Blood, Dust, and Death were the only things that Percy saw as he stumbled through the battlefield trying to get to his friends.
He reached the area that Leo was only to find him face-down in a small puddle of water, drowned. Percy's leg burned with pain from when an empusa got a lucky strike when he was focused on the screams of Hazel as she was crushed by a giants foot, purposefully too.
Percy was given no choice but to duck as an arrow came flying overhead, and he got up again he quickly turned around and threw a trident made of water at the empusa behind him who tried to stick him through with an arrow. It shrieked as the trident went through it's chest before bursting into dust. The trident vaporized a second later and Percy turned around to see Piper with the arrow that he had dodged stuck through her throat. She had been coming over to try and save him from the empusa, but hadn't expected for Percy to duck and cause the arrow hit her instead of him.
It would've been too late for either of them to try and save each other anyways as Piper would've gotten beheaded by a Cyclopes' club if she were to live on. Percy fell to the ground as he stumbled over to where Piper lay. Resting her head on his lap as the light faded from her eyes.
Then he exploded, and a wave of water washed over the entire battle area slamming into monsters as a giant wall of water, killing them instantly, and going around allied people that were with with Percy and the Gods. Percy saw the countless Demi-god bodies that littered the battleground, and Gaea now had enough blood to rise, in the cruelest of ways.
Annabeth looked at Percy as a suit of earth covered her as Gaea took over her body. The earth also covered the gods' feet making them all unable to move, even as they tried to tear out of the dirt. Like Poseidon, Artemis, and Athena did as the gods tried to get to their children, with Artemis and Athena trying to get to Annabeth, And Poseidon trying to get to Percy. But they were all stopped as Gaea made Annabeth pull out her knives, one Annabeth's and the other an earthen duplicate as she walked towards Percy.
"This is for the trouble you've caused me otherwise I would've years ago" she said just as she neared towards Percy. Gaea made Annabeth, who tried to resist as much as she could, but was powerless against the Primordial, as her knife and the earthen knife that Gaea had replicated, swiped through the air towards a shocked Percy, but to Annabeth's relief Percy came to his senses and blocked with his sword just in time, but only one knife was locked with Percy's blade and the second, the duplicate came around the other side with the earthen knife and stabbed him in his waist. Percy narrowed his eyes, gritting his teeth in pain.
"You're going to regret inhabiting my girlfriend Gaea" he said and kicked Gaea away as Annabeth smiled inside; that's the person Annabeth was hoping to see, but Gaea just twirled the knives and shook Annabeth's head against her will.
"No I don't think I will" she said and for the next ten minutes Percy held his own, not wanting to cut or hurt Annabeth at all. Even if the earth would self-consciously heal her and Gaea together. But Annabeth's body started to tire and her swipes became slower, less powerful, and Percy saw his chance. He dropped his sword and rushed her, getting in her guard just as Gaea made Annabeth raise her knives in the air. She dropped her knives in the impact as Percy tackled her and pinned her to the ground. He was also bone-tired, but he found his endless reservoirs of strength inside of him and he relied on those. He forced her arms down and pinned her legs and waist with his weight, and she started to laugh cruelty, evilly.
"You may have won this battle, but you'll still have to live with the loss of your friends, family, and maybe even your own" she said and then the earth forced her up into the air and a spike shot out of the ground faster than Percy could react and went through both Annabeth's and Gaea's heart causing Percy to fall off in shock at the height difference and the speed of the spike.
She must not have been thinking correctly because her face twisted in pain and the blood-soaked dirt dried up and started to darken. The spear and Gaea's encasing around Annabeth turned to stone and they were held there in that position, frozen forever in a tomb of Gaea's own making.
---------------------------------
Percy stood in the throne room chained to his knees. The bronze chains connecting his arms, shoulders, feet, body, throat, and legs to the ground holding him in the uncomfortable kneeling position he was in, like he was on trial for execution, and he was...partially.
Once the gods flashed in and saw him on the ground Poseidon started forwards, but once he got three feet of the area Percy was. He was forced back due to a force-field.
Percy looked up with sad, broken eyes. All the light in them that was there before was gone and Poseidon whispered 'I'm sorry son.' Then he went back to his throne and Percy just continued to stare at the floor. He couldn't hear them arguing due to the effects of the field and he was glad for it as a tear fell from his eyes to the ground before him.
Percy cried silently for the entire meeting as the gods argued about something that Percy couldn't hear. He used his powers to evaporate his tears as he looked up to see Hermes, Artemis, Apollo, Hestia, Poseidon, Demeter, and Ares raising their hands for something.
Then the others raised their hands and Zeus smiled, said something to the others, and continued to stare straight at me with an evil glare. The field around me was dissolved and Zeus started to talk.
"Sadly the votes were in your favor, but as king my side automatically wins and therefore you're punishment for betraying the gods and turning against your brethren are as follows: you will be stripped of your powers and title as Poseidon's son forcefully if needed, you will be banished from both of the camps, and you are to never enter the atmosphere of Mt. Olympus, Camp Jupiter, Camp Half-Blood, nor the entirety of Long Island Sound under oath of the river Styx"
Percy didn't feel like arguing so he just nodded, and he was actually glad that the campers weren't there, otherwise there would've been another war...a vocal one between god and kid.
"I accept the charges against me, even though most of them aren't true. I swear on Lady Styx that I will never enter the Atmosphere of Long Island Sound, Camp Jupiter, Mt. Olympus, or Camp-Half-blood for as long as I live" he said and thunder resolved as proof, unnoticed, Lady Styx had heard his broken voice and felt his sadness, and given him her blessing under his knowledge, and the other gods' awareness.
"Poseidon, now disown your son, and strip him of his powers and titles" Zeus said and Poseidon shook his head and was about to say otherwise when Percy spoke up.
"Just do it dad, I will always be your son, but I don't want Grover to die due to our empathy link, and I don't want to be involved with life any longer" he said and Poseidon's eyes shown with pity, and a little pride that his son was still loyal to them even through this conflict.
Though after five minutes he, though heartbroken for doing so, disowned his son, 'stripped' him of his powers, and titles and severed his empathy link to Grover. Then he and the others that were for Percy going unpunished, flashed out and Zeus came down and flashed Percy to an alley by his mother's apartment.
Percy realized that he still might have family left to take care of and he ripped off the loose, unlocked chains and ran up three flights of stairs before coming to his mother's apartment number; the door was wide open.
Percy immediately smelled death, and he rushed through the door hitting a thin barrier that made it so that no mortal could smell or see what's happened, and he saw his mother, Paul, and his sister, who was only four, all with stone spikes through their chests. It must've happened quickly because they were still smiling happily as they all looked like they were teasing.
They were all encased in stone frozen in their states of happiness and Percy smiled, happy that they didn't die in fear, and he called the Police, left a message for them. Then Percy left the apartment with no other words for himself nor the police, and he wandered into the forest.
As soon as he was one or two miles deep into the forest, deep enough to make it so that people wouldn't hear any screams of pain or a dying person, and a threatening bark erupted from behind Percy. He got on his hands and knees and looked at the ground, confusing the werewolf that it's prey wasn't running in fear. It smelled the faint scent of Demigod, but the smells that was the most powerful were the smells of betrayal, pain, and guilt.
"I've been waiting for you" Percy said and this confused the wolf even more, and then it growled and circled Percy as he looked at the ground in submission "I want you to bring me to your leader, Lycaon" the wolf stopped behind Percy and then shifted and picked up a big stick.
"And why would you want that former demi-god" the wolf said and Percy sighed.
"Because he should be the one to kill me, after all I've killed many of his wolves during the war" Percy said and the werewolf man tipped his head from side to side debating whether it was a good enough reason, and then he decided that it was and whacked Percy so hard that the branch broke into splinters. The wolf threw the remainder of the stick aside and picked up Percy's limp body by the collar of the back of Percy's shirt.
"That should keep you out for long enough for him to welcome you home" he said and then ran to Lycaon's camp with supernatural speed. Once they were at Lycaon's camp, in a second, the wolf bowed before Lycaon and tossed Percy's unconscious body in-front of him.
"Now what do we have here?" Lycaon smiles evilly and stepped down from his throne letting his hands screech down the Celestial Bronze throne that he sat on, making the werewolf still knelt before him cringe and hold back a whimper due to the sharp sound causing his head to split in pain.
