I woke up and went to the bathroom to get in the shower. I got on and did my natural shower routine.

I got out and wrapped the towel around my body. I grabbed my clothes from my duffel bag and put them on.

And then Zhenzhen helped me put my hair in two Dutch braids. I helped her put two braids in her hair as well.

We grabbed our bags and left our cabin to get on the bus.
I sat behind the red haired boy, I think his name is Alex, who sat next to Dariush, who told him scoot over because his nuts were hot, even though Alex was pushed to the window already. .

Logan then got in the drivers seat and said, "alright kids put your seatbelts on. Cuz my license is suspended." Dariush said, "your licence is suspended? " Logan replied, "only a little." Dariush said, "what does that mean?"

Logan finished the conversation by saying, "it means let's not get pulled over." Then he started to drive away.

"Ah sorry kids. Some kid shit the canoe while shooting the rapids. " The lady said. We all groaned.

Zhenzhen tapped my shoulder and told me to follow her. I followed her as we went through trees. I didn't notice that Alex followed us until I heard him say, "Zhenzhen, Savannah, where are you going? " I ignored him as we wandered further into the forest.

I stopped hearing Alex's voice when we came to a stop. I sat at the edge of the cliff while Zhenzhen made a weird pose.

It was cool until we heard some yelling. "No no no no. Stop please. Help! " It sounded like Alex. We ran over to where it was.

Dariush tried to bring him to the ledge. "Dariush let him go!" I screamed. He seemed to ignore me. Then I heard an unfamiliar voice come from behind me. I turned around and saw a cute boy who looks like he's around my age. He said, "LET HIM GO!" He smiled at me and I felt my heart flutter. Woahhhhhhh he's hot. "Let him go." He repeated. Dariush looked back and said, "Move along mountain hobo. We have no qualms with you." He then kept on trying to bring Alex to the ledge.

"HELP ME! HELP ME!" The cute boy was getting pissed I could tell. "I'm not gonna ask you again." The boy said. Dariush then looked back and walked over to the boy dragging Alex with him. "Big mistake bro." Dariush said, throwing Alex on the ground. Alex said, "ow!" Dariush went up the the boy clapping his hands together and he did some weird dance move, "Five years of Krav Maga, bitch! I'll Gal Gadot you so hard right now. What's your ground game?"

I rolled my eyes and said, "Dariush, shut the hell up! You know you ain't gonna do shit to him!"

He then turned to me and said, "stay out of this." He turned back to the boy and acted like he was going to do something to him. "oh really. What you gonna do? What?" Then he tried to hit him but the guy dodged it and punched his lights out.

He looked up and saw that Alex, Zhenzhen, and i were looking at him. He shrugged and the boy helped Alex up and Alex said, "what's your name?" The boy said, "I'm Gabriel."
Oh, so his names Gabriel. I zoned out for a few minutes while they were talking but I heard my name being said which snapped me back to reality.

Then Dariush woke up and said, "that was a lucky punch. Lucky punch. I haven't acclimated to the altitudes yet. So my reflexes are kinda......sub par." As soon as he said that, a loud ass boom was heard. "What the fuck was that?" I said, pulling my phone out of my back pocket.

Gabriel said, "what does it say?" I showed him my phone and we both looked at what it said. "Its the emergency broadcast system. 'All civilians are too evacuate metropolitan areas immediately. Under no circumstances approach any unknown spacecraft.'" I said scared. Dariush being dumb as hell said, "it's the next 7-11!" I looked at him with a glare, and said, "You mean 9-11 dip-shit!"

Alex said, "we gotta get back to the van. Anybody know the way?" Gabriel said, "I do. Follow me."

Dariush said, "ok whoa whoa whoa. Slow your roll, Dora the Explorer alright, this is my clique. Soldiers out!" He scoffed turning around and started walked away.

Me, Zhenzhen, Alex, and Gabriel looked at each other. "Lets go." Gabriel said. We then walked the opposite direction from Dariush. Dariush said, "you guys know if.....you...." He sighed and ran back to us.

We ran to the lake and Alex said, "everyone's gone."

Dariush cursed under his breath. I said, "they probably got the emergency signal and headed back to camp." We heard another booming sound. Dariush said,"oh...."

Alex being a nerd said, "Looks like explosions, in the upper atmosphere." Gabriel said,"call and have the send the van to pick you up." I take out my phone and it says it's dead.

"What the fuck?"

They all look at me. "How the hell is my phone dead? It was on 92% three seconds ago. Piece of fucking shit Boost Mobile!"

Zhenzhen, Alex, and Dariush take out their phones and they said that there phones are dead as well. We hear a distant whooshing.

Then we see jets going full speed above the water but still managed to get us soaked. Gabriel said, "Oh my god. it's independence day!" Dariush said, "it's June, Gabriel! Oh, wait, maybe North Korea's invaded! Zhenzhen, call it off!" Zhenzhen glared at him as I slap him in the back of the head. "Really?!" I said. He held the back of his head wincing.

Alex said, "we just need to wait until the adults realize they left us and come back." Dariush said, "oh man! What if they never come back? I'm gonna die here with you losers? I never even had sex before!" We looked at him like he was stupid. "Dude.........TMI" I said.

Dariush said, "I'ma clear that up. I had sex... I had sex before, I mean... I haven't had sex with two girls at once. That's what I mean." He turned to Alex, and said, "I told you that I had sex cause..." Alex shook his head, saying, "no.. you didn't"

Gabriel said, "alright, hey look. we're not going to die. it's probably just a forest fire. we better get going, bears out here can be crazy."

Dariush said, "whoa whoa. Did you just say bears. I don't do so well with bears, man. I'm not trying to get DiCaprio'd up in here!"

Gabriel rolled his eyes and said, "Look, no one does well with bears." Dariush said, "oh, whoa. uh... ask Werner Herzog. Grizzly Man lived with those things for years, so check that out." Gabriel said‚"did you watch the end of that movie?" Dariush started to lie, " 'Did I watch...' Yeah, I watched... No, I didn't. What happened?" Alex said, "no dude. okay, stop. Gabriel's right. Black bears are opportunistic carnivores. We're not gonna survive the wilderness through the night." Dariush said, "then let's go come on." We all followed Gabriel and ran to the camp only to see that it was deserted. "Hello?" Dariush yelled. "HELLO!" I screamed. "Where is everybody?" Alex said. "Is anyone here?" Gabriel yelled.
"Yo, do you see anybody?" Dariush asked us.

I said, "what's that? 'Gone down mountain...' Oh they left us!" Dariush started to say, "oh sh...", until Gabriel said, "Not all of them." We looked to where Gabriel was looking and it was a dude ,who looked familiar, passed out on the table.

"It's Heavy Metal Conrad." Dariush said. "Conrad!" Alex yelled. "Conrad." Gabriel yelled as well. We ran to Conrad and Dariush said,"is he dead?" as Gabriel checked his pulse. "He's breathing. He must have slept through the evacuation." Dariush said, "what kind of asshole sleeps through an evacuation?" I picked up his almost empty flask. After that I took a swig of the beverage in the flask. Zhenzhen took the rest and threw it on the ground."I don't think that... that was milk." Dariush said.

"That's cause it wasn't." I said. We went in the dining hall and Gabriel checked the phone and Alex checked the lights.

"Lines dead." Gabriel said. "Its cause the powers out. You know what an EMP is?" Dariush said, "uh yeah yeah yeah. that's music white people listen to."

I said, "no that's EDM. EPM stands for electromagnetic pulse. A nuclear explosion in the upper atmosphere can cause one. And it knocks out most electronics over a really big area." Dariush looked at me and said, "but what does that mean?" I said, "it means nothing works." Dariush said, "not even cars?" Before I said something, Gabriel said, "well you guys have food and a roof over you head. you could do a lot worse than staying and waiting this out."

Dariush said! "Wait, waiting what out?" Then we heard a loud explosion coming from outside. Dariush said, "shit! Come on, come on, come on!" We ran outside and saw airplanes. "Those are F22 Raptor air superiority fighters." I said. Gabriel said, "what are those ships they're fighting? And how do you know this shit?" I said, "I've never seen anything like them. And my dad was in the army and he transferred to the Air Force Base and he used to ride one before he...."

I got cut off when we heard about engine roaring. Dariush said, "RUN! GO, GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE. GO!" We ran so fast and heard gunshots. "Hurry up! Go go go! Move out of the way!" Dariush screamed. Alex said, "come on, come on!" And I said "what's going on? What?"

Zhenzhen pointed at a ship in the sky that's was coming for us. We ran and then it crashed sending us in the air. I groaned, "what the hell is that thing?" Alex said, "it's a Dragon Capsule." Gabriel said, "how do you know this stuff?" Alex said, "there's a reason my mom sent me to an outdoor summer camp."

Dariush said, "oh shit that's huge!" Gabriel went to touch it. "Dude don't touch it. It's still hot from retry." Gabriel still touched it and burnt his hand. I went over to him and checked his hand. He smiled at me as I looked at him and I felt a blush creep to my face so I looked down.

He chuckled and I guess he saw I was blushing. When I turned around Dariush was drinking water. I looked at him. "Are you serious? Give me that." I snatched the water from his hands and poured it on the door to the dragon capsule and I poured a little on Gabriel's hand so it wouldn't hurt as much. Then I went to open the door. Dariush said, "your not gonna open that thing, are you?" I said, "there could be someone inside." Dariush got in my way.
."No leave it be. Alright?" He touched some black goop on the ship. "We don't know what this shit is." He smelled it and said, "ew." while wiping it on his trousers.

"This is animal kingdom out here, bitches. All right, survival of the fit... " The capsule door opened cutting Dariush off and knocking him to the ground. Thank you lord. We all looked in the capsule.

"Hello. Is...is anybody in here?"

There was silence until an arm was to be seen. We all jumped back as a lady came out we went back over to her and helped her out of the capsule.

Dariush said,"I thought space was supposed to make you weightless?" I said, "we're not in space, dip-shit." The lady kept groaning and then she said, "where am I?"

Alex said, "your at Rim of The World Adventure Camp. Near Big Bear." She was confused, "this is a camp?" Dariush said, "yeah, I was disappointed too, but..."

The lady said, "Coordinates all wrong. Pasadena... Dr. Fielding."

Dariush said, "I'm sorry, we're not near Pasadena right now." She screamed, "JPL!" I said, "JPL? The Jet Propulsion Laboratory. It's part of NASA right?" Alex nodded.

Gabriel said, "try not to move as much, ok. Try not to move." I mean I know we about to die but when he was helping the lady he looked so fucking cute.
.Anyways, the lady got scared and took a necklace off her neck and grabbed my arm pulling me down. "The key. Take it to JPL, Dr. Fielding. It has everything on it. Excalibur, everything." I put the necklace on. Then I heard snarling and looked over. "Holy shit! You'll die if we leave you!" I said, tears rolling down my face. She screamed, "WE'LL ALL DIE IF YOU DON'T!" We ran and I turned around to see the lady getting killed then the alien thing made a dog come out of its back.

"IT HAS A DOG!" I screamed.

I was frozen in place and then Gabriel came running back to get me.

"Savannah, come on."

We ran into the dining hall and I stood by Gabriel, tears in my eyes but not saying anything.

Dariush said, "How big was it? Was it, like, puppy-size? Cause maybe it just wants to cuddle." I looked at him and said, "are you fu-" I got cut of by the door slamming open.

Then we heard snarling and Dariush screamed, "hell no we gotta go!" We ran into the kitchen and I went with Gabriel and Zhenzhen. We called for Alex to come to us and he did.

We called for Dariush and he was gonna come for us but when he was gonna come to us the alien dog came in and Dariush ran the other way. The dog must have smelled our scent and looked over to where we were but we were behind where we were before but there was no more room so Alex was at the end.

Then we heard a crash and the dog went for Dariush and he started to run for us.

He ran to us and so did the dog. Me and Zhenzhen looked at each other and when the dog came for us. I yelled, "DUCK!"

And we did and the dog went in the oven thing and me and Zhenzhen locked it.

We sighed of relief until we heard another snarl and looked at the door. We bolted towards the window. We all climbed out and ran.

We didn't see Alex until we heard a scream and ran to Alex. We split up after running from the building.

Me, Gabriel, and Dariush went under the stairs and Alex and Zhenzhen went into a porta-potty. Dariush said, "where is it?"

And then we saw that it's foot had broke a piece of the wood by the stairs. We stayed quiet and I couldn't control my breath so Gabriel put his hand over my mouth. Damn his hand is soft, I thought. I mentally slapped my self. Stop it Sav. It's an actual life or death situation. He took his hand off my mouth and put his other hand on Dariush's mouth. "Shh. Stop talking. Shh. Stop..."

I then said, "dudes we have to go." while coughing. Dariush said, "whoa, whoa, whoa! why are we leaving? this is an alien proof hiding spot."

Gabriel said, "we have to help them!" Dariush said, "and die, too? No thanks!" I scoffed and left first.

They eventually came out and we heard metal rattling. Dariush said, "oh hell naw, man!"

It was the dog. Dariush said, "Speed your ass up, Gabriel it's Cujo!" and we ran to the ship. Gabriel dived in and I went in falling backwards and landing on his lap.

I said, "grab the door Dariush!" He did and came in closing the door. I moved around to get comfortable, since it was so small in this capsule, and I heard Gabriel moan a little and he said said in my ear, "please stop moving." I said, "why?" Then he pointed to his crotch and I said, "shit sorry." I can't believe I gave Gabriel a boner. Dariush said, "why are you in his lap? You can get off now." I stayed on Gabriel's lap. Dariush was confused and then he had wide eyes.

"Do you have a b-" Then before Dariush finished his sentence Alex and Zhenzhen hit the door and we said, "GO! GET OUT OF HERE! THE DOGS OUT THERE!"

Alex stop screaming and turned around when the dog charged towards the door. Gabriel and I start to push buttons to open the door and Dariush kept stopping us.

"Dariush, stop! We have to let them in!" I said. Dariush said, " What are you doing? 'Let them in' no!" Then I pushed Dariush into the wall, obviously pissed off and he hit a button to turn on the boosters.

He then pressed his face into the window of the door and said, "Alex, your welcome. I put the dog on fire for you guys! And Gabriel was selfish and he didn't help at all." I pushed Dariush out of the way and got off Gabriel and I punched the door and it fell. Damn. I got out and sat on a rock. Gabriel tries to talk to me but I walked away from him cause I'm just like that.

Then I heard a snarling and ran. So did everyone else. "At what point do we trip Zhenzhen and Savannah and keep running?"

I said, "I wish the fuck you do. You gonna be a dead son of a bitch I'll tell you that." Gabriel laughed.

Then that alien thing pushed us down trapping us. It looked at Dariush and put it's weird tongue thing in his mouth.

Then a ship started to shoot it and it fell and we got up and ran to a shack close to where we were.

"I didn't sign up for this shit, man." Dariush said disgusted.

Gabriel said, "this can't be real." Dariush said, "
What about this isn't real? He just sneeze-jizzed all over us!"

Gabriel said, "Just shut up, I can't think with your constant bitching." Dariush said, "Hey, I'm aloud to bitch, alright? That thing had its tongue in my mouth." Alex said, "How do you know it was it's tongue? We don't know their anatomy." Dariush was confused, and he said, "what are you saying?" Alex said, "Honestly, it's plausible that sophisticated creatures, like alien males, have cranial genitalia." I started laughing.

Dariush said, "what are you laughing and what did he mean?" My laughter started dying down. "I was laughing at the fact that the alien thing had its dick in your mouth!" Then me, Zhenzhen, and Gabriel started laughing. Dariush was disgusted. "It had its dick in my mouth?"

I nodded while still laughing. My face was so red from laughing. He shook his head saying, "uh uh." We stopped laughing. Then Gabriel said, "Guys we need to stay calm, okay?"

Dariush said while scoffing, "Calm? I just probably swallowed a load of alien babies that are going to turn into puppies and leap out of my chest."

Alex said, "I need to find my mom, she's gonna know what to do." Dariush said, "if she's alive." Alex got mad and pushed Dariush saying, "Hey, don't say that!" Dariush pushed him back and tried to fight him, saying, "chances are our parents are gone, all right!" Gabriel yanked Dariush away from Alex, saying, " Hey, what did I say about touching that kid?" Dariush said, "what are you gonna do? Gonna sucker punch me again? Go for it, cause I'll chop your ass in the neck, and then I'll chop you in the head and finish you with a rear-naked choke."

Gabriel said, pissed off, "do you ever shut up? I mean, between my fist and that aliens dick, your mouth should be worn out by now." I got so pissed and slapped the shit out of them while Zhenzhen screamed. Alex looked at me and said, "why are you hitting me?" Zhenzhen then said, ""What we do in life...echoes in eternity."
Dariush said,"what the fuck?"

Zhenzhen picked up the dirt and threw it down, saying,"Hold the line! Stay with me! If you find yourself alone riding in green fields, with the sun on your face, do not be troubled, for you are in Elysium and your already dead."

She grabbed my arm and walked away. I heard Dariush say, "did she just quote Gladiator?" Then Gabriel said, "since when does she speak English?"

Dariush said, "since when does she speak?"

Alex came by us and said, "may I ask where we're going?" Zhenzhen said, "the astronaut said that this key can stop the aliens and that we need to take it to TRL." Alex corrected her and said, "JPL. A NASA facility. In the foothills of Pasadena. I went there once for a robotics contest with my dad."

I said, "do you know how to get there?"
He said, "without GPS? No, probably not. It's over 70 miles away from here."

Dariush said, "wait. What? You wanna head 70 miles into the city? The alert said to stay away from metropolitan areas not head straight into them."

I rolled my eyes and said, "We don't have to take it all the way to Pasadena. Let's just get this key down the mountain and take it to adults. Tell them to take it to JPL."
