"I'm sorry if I'm interrupting your whatever it is, but the queen asked me to tell you to go meet her." You said, crossing your arms in front of your chest while locking eyes with the blonde. She let go of Myron who she was having her arms around and brought her hand to her hip. "Yeah, you were interrupting. That hag can wait for all I care."

You instantly furrowed your brows at the girl's disrespect towards queen Rin. It took your everything not to lash out at her. "You won't get far with that attitude of yours, you better watch your mouth."

"M-Myron, she's threatening me! D-Do something!" The blue eyed female turned to the taller male again, pressing herself against him as she dramatically played the victim. The scene just made you laugh at how pathetic she was. "What, you're asking your boyfriend to hit me because you're too scared to do it yourself?"

The female dropped her act and glared at you. She raised her hand probably in order to slap you, but you caught her wrist before it made contact with your face. "Too slow. How about you try again?" You smirked provocatively.

"You little bitch." Loraine hissed, shaking your hand off as she stomped away angrily. You watched as she reached the entrance to one of the castle's many corridors and couldn't help but feel satisfied. In the past it was always her who managed to make fun of you and others and make you feel weak and inferior to her, but it seemed like the tables have turned now.

You were free to finally leave now, but you couldn't help but glance at Myron who had surprisingly stood silent all the time. "That's odd." You thought to yourself and actually passed on throwing an insult at him today and simply left with a sigh.

Myron sighed as well, but his was one of relief. The guard Loraine had sent away disrespectfully earlier approached the younger again, and glared at him the same way he did at the blonde. The white haired boy felt guilty for how his girlfriend had behaved towards his superior, so he tried apologizing: "S-Sir, I'm really sorry for-..."

"You can leave." The man said harshly, cutting his apprentice off. Myron's eyelids flew wide open and for a moment, no words could leave his slightly parted lips. "B-But Sir, I didn't mean to offend you in any way-..."

"It's fine, you haven't. Just leave for today." The older man insisted and even if he was trying not to look it, he was very upset. He valued his position and had no intentions of getting in trouble with the queen or the Aono family.

The purple eyed boy's hands started shaking only slightly because he feared this could somehow result in him losing his job in the future, but he was no longer going to try defying his superior and so bowed before leaving. "Yes, Sir."

Even though the sun was almost setting, it was still about three hours too early for him to leave. He had his hands resting in his pockets as he walked through the village promenade. He thought he could visit his mother before returning home, and so took a different route than the usual.

He didn't need much time to get in front of the small house his mother lived in, and knocked at the door once he stood in front of it. He heard a woman's voice call from the inside before she opened the door, smiling instantly at the sight of her beloved son.

"Myron, what a surprise. Come in." The short haired woman said, stepping to the side in order to allow the boy inside. He walked inside, soon taking his shoes off before he got led to the living room by his mother. Unlike both her sons, Isabella had dark hair and a very light color of eyes.

"Is Mr. Eudon still at work?" Myron asked and seated himself at the table across the older woman after noticing that the man he mentioned didn't seem to be at home. The short haired woman nodded.

"I haven't seen Yasen ever since that day. He still holds a grudge against me, doesn't he?" Isabella asked, smiling sheepishly as she tucked a few strands of her ash blue colored hair behind her ear. "It is understandable after all. It makes me very happy that you still visit me so much despite what I've done."

"Don't say that, mother. Yasen doesn't hate you..." The purple eyed male said, fiddling with his fingers nervously since he knew that he wasn't telling the whole truth. It has already been over a whole year ever since Isabella and Myron's father, Devon, have divorced. They were able to part on more or less good terms, but it seemed like the older of the two sons still couldn't get over his mother's misdeeds.

"Is he at least doing alright? The life of an officer isn't draining too much of his energy, is it?" The woman asked somewhat worried, but was put at ease by the white haired boy who ensured her that her older son was doing perfectly fine.

And just like that, Myron spent an hour or even more at his mother's house before deciding that he should be going home. Isabella walked her son out and hugged him before they bid their goodbyes. "Thank you for coming. Take care, alright?"

The purple eyed young man nodded before slowly taking his leave. There were notably less people around than when he first came, but the sun was still shining faintly even though it was about to disappear behind the mountains.

Myron walked past his father's shop which he must have been closing up by now. He intended on dropping by there too, but he saw you exit the small store along with Doni and a man he didn't know, so he let out on it for today.

Not much after that, he arrived in front of his own home, knocking and entering almost immediately. He called out a rather silent "I'm home." but it was clearly loud enough for his bro-con brother to hear.

"Myron!~ Welcome back." The taller called out, immediately tackling his younger brother into a tight embrace, squeezing him even harder when he noticed that he was trying to escape his grip. The red eyed male pulled his face away just slightly only to shower Myron's face with endless kisses.

"Y-Yasen, quit it. I'm not a kid anymore. Besides, I haven't even showered yet." The younger stuttered rather embarrassedly, his face rising with heat. Yasen actually stopped after having planted his final and quite loud smooch on Myron's cheek. "You're still my adorable baby brother for me. Doesn't matter if you'll be thirty, forty or even an old man."

"Want to get into the bath together? I did shower already, but I don't mind doing it again.~" Yasen hummed innocently before letting go of his younger brother who hid his face with his white bangs. "Don't say stuff like that. People would think that you have an extreme brother-complex if they'd hear you."

Yasen couldn't hold back a light laugh at his little brother's flustered reaction and ended up pinching his cheeks before getting somewhat more serious. "But how come you're already at home? You usually come back when I'm already in bed."

Myron pursed his lips a bit nervously. He knew that it wasn't exactly his fault that he had been sent home early, but he also knew that Yasen didn't particularly like his girlfriend. The reason why Yasen stopped giving Myron kisses on his lips wasn't because he was getting older, but because that meant indirectly kissing Loraine, and he hated the idea quite much.

"Let's not stand around." The red eyed male said, taking his younger brother by his hand and leading him to the couch in the living room. They sat one next to the other and the older watched as Myron fiddled with his fingers.

"You... promise you won't get angry." The boy said only to gain a light ruffle of his hair. "I could never get angry at you.~" The purple eyed male was a bit unsure at first, but decided to tell his brother about it without hesitating any further.

"Let's say, Loraine kind of caused a scene while I was on duty..." Myron said, regretting it almost immediately as he saw Yasen's sour look. "You mean, you got in trouble because of what she did?"

"I've told you many times, and you're probably sick and tired of hearing it, but I really don't think that girl suits you." The red eyed male sighed, meeting the gaze of the other. "It's not just her awful personality, but she doesn't seem faithful either."

Myron wanted to stick up for his girlfriend, but he didn't know what to say. Nor did he want to go against his brother who loved him so much because of some girl, so he ended up staying silent and staring down at his lap.

Yasen noticed that he had made the younger feel rather uncomfortable and apologized, dropping the subject. An awkward silence accompanied the two, until Myron decided to break it with another topic his older brother wasn't so fond of. "Mother misses you, you know."

"You went to see her again?" The red eyed male asked, since Myron had brought it up out of the blue. He nodded only to hear the other sigh again. "Look, I don't have anything against you having a good relationship with that woman, but please don't expect me and Dad to be friendly with her."

"Don't call her 'that woman', she is still our mother." The younger said, looking up and locking eyes with the older again. Yasen lightly furrowed his brows. "Maybe so, but what she did is unforgivable. She is no child anymore, she should have known better."

"I don't get how she could even think of doing such a thing after being married for so long and giving birth to both of us. It's just plain sad." He said, showing as little anger as he could in front of his little brother. Myron didn't need to be reminded of what their mother had done, he knew exactly what happened:

About a year and a half ago, Isabella had an affair with the man who is her new lover now while still being married to Devon Kenji. The reason behind her actions was still a mystery to all three men, since Devon treated her like a queen or how Yasen likes to put it.

Myron was angry in the beginning as well, but not even close to how upset his older brother was. He still remembers that night when she was discovered, and how Yasen yelled at his mother. It was the first time he had witnessed his older brother raise his voice in his presence.

Devon was very hurt and disappointed of course, but he didn't want to part on bad terms, so he forced himself a little. Myron could find it in himself to forgive Isabella after a good amount of months, since like he mentioned already, that woman was still their mother.

"I'm just glad dad can still try to find another partner after what she's done." Yasen said and leaned his head back deeper into the pillow. Myron remembered their father mentioning that there was a woman he started meeting up with recently. "The one who works in the bakery, right?"

"Yeah. I met the woman once, she's really sweet. Dad said he'll properly introduce her to us once." The older said and finally smiled again, putting the purple eyed boy at ease. "Now that I think about it, she has the same last name as-..."

Before Yasen could finish what he was saying, the door was opened and their father entered, kicking his shoes off of his feet as soon as he was inside. "I'm back."

"Dad!~ Welcome back! How come you're so late?" The red eyed male said, jumping up from his seat and hurrying to Devon, hugging him the same way he did with Myron. Only that he didn't shower the man with kisses.

"Tell me about it. There was a pervert and a girl who broke a porcelain plate." The golden eyed man started, telling his son how he needed to stay longer in order to clean up. "Myron, you're home too?"

"Y-Yeah." The younger stood up as well. He was a bit embarrassed that he couldn't show as much enthusiasm as his older brother, but the small family was already used to that. "You lazy butts, you've been home and haven't even made something to eat? Come on, put that youth to good use!~"

And just like that, the three had all gathered in the kitchen, telling jokes, laughing and even singing while they prepared dinner together.
