A few moments latter, Dustsoul padded out with a worried expression on her face. "Where is Scarletkit?"

Rosekit froze in that moment. "S-She went to go watch the battle...." Rosekit responded.

"What?!" Dustsoul responded, furious. "Why didn't you stop her!"

"I tried. She didn't listen."

Both of them turned to look as they heard pawsteps approaching. The warriors padded into camp. Meadowbreeze was carrying a protesting Scarletkit, and Dustsoul sighed in relief. "My kit!"

"What were you thinking!" Dustsoul meowed, covering her with strong licks.

"Your only three moons for StarClan's sake!"

"I went to watch the battle! It was great! Risingmist chased off this big white tom, and Brackenblaze was pinned by this grey she-cat but he rolled over and kicked out, and and-"

"Enough, Scarletkit." Their father, Blazestar said. "I'll let you go this time, but if it happens again, you're confined to the nursery for a quarter moon."

"Okay..." Scarletkit mewed. "Hey Rosekit, wanna play tag?"

Rosekit nodded, wondering how she could not only not get punished for that, but be fine with a small lecture too. Scarletkit pawed her. "Your it!"

Her sister laughed and dashed off, leaving Rosekit to chase after her. When she neared, the reddish kit tackled her sister into a mud puddle. "You're it!"

Scarletkit hissed playfully and shook out her pelt. Rosekit ran and bowled right into Berrysplash, who was busy healing cats with his mentor, Streamfur.

"Oops...sorry." she meowed, rubbing her head with her paw.

Berrysplash blinked in amusement, signaling that it was 'okay'.

Rosekit sighed with relief, suddenly realizing it was sunhigh. "Hey Scarletkit, wanna get something from the fresh-kill pile?"

Her sister nodded in response and padded over. Both rummaged around for their favorite meal: crow. They found one and pulled it out.

Both ate the entire crow with swift bites, famished from the day's play. "So, what do you want to do now?" Scarletkit asked.

Rosekit shrugged. "I don't know. Hear a story from Birdsong?"

Scarletkit nodded quickly and raced to the elder's den, leaving Rosekit to trail behind once again.
