"What border do you think this is?" Fallensnow meowed.

"RiverClan." Rosepaw hissed as a fishy scent hit her nose.

Fallensnow nodded in approval. "Yes. RiverClan eat fish from the lake and small stream heading into it. They have thick oily pelts too, and are able to swim in the water."

Rosepaw shivered at the thought of swimming in the cold and deep water.

She nodded and they headed off to the next destination.

She looked at her surroundings as they padded on, trying to memorize every bush and tree. The fishy scent didn't leave her nose for a while and she stopped to paw at her nose to try and rid of it.

She stopped as the usual oaks turned into tall bristly trees. "What are those?" Rosepaw asked as she beaconed over to the tall trees.

Fallensnow looked up. "Oh, those are pine trees." she meowed.

"This is the ShadowClan border. As you see, they prefer to live in the pines."

Instantly, she was able to tell that this border was the ShadowClan one, due to the horrifying scent the elders once told her about.

She wrinkled her nose in disgust as the strong ShadowClan scent washed over her.

"They eat what ever they can get their paws on-besides fish." Fallensnow continued.

Rosepaw remembered the frogs that used to sometimes hop around camp. Scarletkit and her used to chase them.

"Do ShadowClan eat frogs?" she asked, trying to hide her emotions.

Fallensnow nodded. "Yep! They eat lizards too."

Rosepaw nodded and stared at her paws, the emotion waving over her as they continued on.

As they approached the next border, she instantly knew it was WindClan due to the long stretch of treeless land.

"This is WindClan,' Fallensnow said. "They eat large birds and rabbits, which takes much speed.'

Rosepaw inhaled deeply, taking in the new scents, when a familiar scent hit her nose.
