Welp... that was a short break. It seems I can't stay away from Wattpad..

Rosepaw looked at Shadepaw and smirked evily. "Hey Shadepaw, follow me!" She said, and ran out of camp and towards a small hill.

"Look!"

Shadepaw came to a stop and looked down the hill. "I don't see an- AH!" She screeched as Rosepaw pushed her and she went tumbling.

As soon as she reached the bottom, Rosepaw busted out laughing at the sight of her friend buried in snow.

Shadepaw growled and struggled to stand up with the snow weighing her down, but when she did, she ran faster than a hawk could soar strait into Rosepaw.

The two went tumbling until Shadepaw pinned her down. She may have been a kittypet, but she's as fast as some of the ancient clan cats!

Suddenly, dark shadows cast across the playing two, and the sun slowly sank below the horizon.

The air became colder as the two quickly headed back to the camp, and into their nests.

Strong gusts of wind blew against the apprentice den. The fluffy white flakes seeped through and collected on both Rosepaw and Shadepaw's pelts, gaining them no sleep at all.

"Why does this stuff have to be so cold?" Shadepaw shivered.

Rosepaw didn't respond, but looked back in the far corner. "M-Maybe it's warmer over there.."

The two stood up and quickly padded over to the corner, where instead of brambles, the walls were made of thick stone. As if they were in a cave, this corner seemed to hold more heat.

The two curled up and tried to not only retain body heat, but to attempt getting sleep as well.

Soon, Shadepaw was deep into sleep.

It didn't come as easy for Rosepaw. No matter how hard she tried, she could never seem to fall into a slumber as easily as her friend.

Sighing, she stood up and shook out her pelt. A little night hunting wouldn't hurt her, would it?
